As a local, I await the opening of Lattitudes, a sort of announcement of the upcoming season. After a few visits, it seems that the restaurant still has difficulty with the lunch versus dinner offerings. Is it upscale with the high end Marriott name or just another on the water«beachy» joint? An excellent lunch and afternoon menu, terrific lobster roll and seafood combinations. Dinner is priced at high end levels, but the delivery at those prices is challenging. I had the $ 35 applewood planked swordfish which was somewhat overdone with a barbecue glaze, small cut off piece of corn on the cob, over cooked fingerling potatoes, a kimchee and huge grilled asparagus. As a beachy place, it was a fine presentation. As a first class restaurant, I would have expected a fresh presentation not needing a covering with fresh local vegetables without some heavy sauce and without overwhelmingly large asparagus. Disappointed that this will destination location is tarnished.

One of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. This adorable chic restaurant is located at Wentworth by the sea resort. Definitely sit outside on the patio on a nice day, the view is beautiful. The waitress was very sweet. The mimosa was good. The bread they bring out at the beginning is nicely herbed. My lobster roll was so light yet creamy. Huge bits of fresh lobster. The bread was toasted well and buttered nicely. I enjoyed that the filling was on top rather than put in the center. The Cole Slaw was very healthy and also light on the mayo which was perfect. The pickle was homemade and not from a jar. Tried the salad and the dressing was tangy and worked so well with the lobster. Overall very satisfied with the service, food and view of this restaurant.

The lobster salad sandwich was delicious. I am from New England and can honestly state one of the best I ever had. The staff and location were top notch!

It was my first time eating at Latitudes. Lovely view, nautical décor and very comfortable. One friend got the grilled chicken sandwich which she enjoyed. I ordered what was described very deliciously as an Heirloom Tomato and Avocado melt. I was picturing a crunchy bruschetta with sliced tomato, sliced avocado and melted cheese. What came out was soggy bread topped with diced yellow tomato, diced avocado and melted cheese. Bruschetta must be toasted before adding the toppings to keep its crispness. The tomato and avocado topping was totally mushy and tasteless no flavor at all. Our waitress was prompt and very cheery. I was disappointed with my dish but may go back and try something else.

So mediocre. Took my family on a beautiful summer night. View if the marina is top notch. Tight seating on the deck. Wait staff can barely squeeze through from table to table. For a high end hotel, the food and service were disappointing. Cesar dressing was straight out of a bottle — 2 croutons on the plate. Lobster was piled high on the roll and was the best part of the meal. The rest of the family was disappointed. Save your money and eat downtown. So many better choices in the area.

Great staff. Great food. Great ambiance. Great view. Tomato and watermelon salad is beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. The lobster roll is very popular and should be. Huge pile on perfect roll. Big chucks of lobster perfectly cooked, very little mayo. Perfect New England lunch!

We always enjoy our time spent at Latitudes. Fun location within an easy walk to see fancy boats/yachts moored at the marina below. Indoor seating has good views of the marina and sunsets. The seafood is as you would expect. Lobster dishes, ceasar salad and tuna sushi rolls met expectations.

Recipe for a great date dinner night: dine on a rainy night with lovely service by Liza, great drinks, and fresh delicious food, with no two hour wait! The view is amazing in any weather and the updated menu is prepared with superb execution that you would expect from a high end resort. We had the tuna tempura app and it was outstanding. Then we shared the filet mignon and the lobster roll which is literally a pile of claw meat on the most delicious brioche roll ever. Good wine list and fun cocktails,.Bourbon mojito was delish.

Great restaurant with ocean views. Food is not fantastic, but you go there mainly for the fresh air and views.

New chef, new menu, new décor– all good. Our server Oliver was pleasant and efficient. Lobster salad; delicious and good value. Minor order glitch quickly and pleasantly fixed. They are back and we’ll be back.

It used to be a lot better than it is now. First, they recommend calling a half hour in advance to get preferred seating. We did that and it did absolutely nothing for us. Once we were seated, it took 20 minutes to get our drinks after ordering them(order was a glass of wine, gin and tonic, beer, and a soda). Then the food comes and it was as pedestrian as can be. The portion sizes were tiny and the quality of the meal didn’t make up for the skimpiness. I got the Blue Fin Tuna. The chef definitely doesn’t know how to sear tuna and I could tell he/she didn’t time it right. One half of the fish was cooked, lower than a sear, and it was gray(cooked) half way through. The other half was not cooked at all, literally. I obviously wanted it rare, but got one side sushi and the other side well done. It was ice cold when I got it as was the fingerling potatoes and two tiny pieces of fried avocado. All of our entrees were subpar to say the least. The fish and chips came out luke warm and it was 80% breading, 20% fish inside. I would say Latitude has taken on a much more chain Marriott type quality in terms of food and service and a much less upscale, waterfront dining type restaurant.

So confused about everyone’s reviews! Great outdoor space — no doubt. But not an amazing outdoor space. And definitely not an amazing menu. And definitely not amazing food. And 100% definitely not even what I would call a decent wine list. And definitely not great service. If you want ‘ok’ food outside — by all means. If you want a nice dining experience — skip.

Went here with my mother for a ladies’ day out. Nice view and probably convenient for guests of the resort. Ordered the«Asian Noodle Salad» and it was a salad with noodles on the side. The deck furniture seemed oversized and dwarfed us both, leaving me unable to reach the floor with my feet(I’m 5’6″). Wine list is largely what you would find at a supermarket.

Loved it! The place was remodeled to emphasize the wonderful views of the marina. The style is modern with a nod to new england — a refreshing break from the monotonous traditional style that permeates the area. I had a salad with tuna, The portion, quality, and preparation were excellent. The bartender was attentive and well prepared. She made a perfect martini. Kudos to the front of house staff, chefs, and management!!!

Unilocal link in June 2014 led, when following Latitudes on Unilocal map, to a reservation service that returned«reservation confirmed!»(powered by open table) yet upon arrival Latitudes said“we never take reservations”. I got an email from SALT, which was nowhere in any links or my plans. Latitudes food and wait staff service was lovely(at the indoor bar rather than deck umbrella table, due to no res and busy timing) the venue is so enjoyable, the disorganization at Unilocal link and also the host desk at the restaurant was unfortunate.

View and seating are great. How many times do I have to say it? Get water on the table and take a drink order immediately. It will make guests feel like you are top of your game. We went here this week and sat waiting and waiting as what seemed like the whole staff attended to a table of 6 or 7 woman. Hello ! by the time I got up and went to ask if we too could eat and drink I was super salty. Too bad because it was a beautiful night. The only way we were able to get bread an appetizer and drink refills was to befriend the busboy who was awesome and funny. Food was ok. Lobster roll looked great but somewhat bland. Mahi tacos good but only two so beware if you are hungry.

Preseason lunch proved very good. They has gone to local products. Excellent simply caprise salad with pressed watermelon. The lobster roll was excellent and well priced. The new dining room was beautiful. The other reviews are not the experience that I have overall very good.

Fantastic view as we ate outside! We ate here twice. For lunch I had the lobster roll, It was tasty! and for dinner I had the Seafood Crock Pot, again very good(although I could have used more garlic bread to sop up the tasty broth)

Yesterday went for a lobster roll and a this review/rating is for the lobster roll and not the unquestionably beautiful million dollar views. First, the crunchy chewy texture of the buttered and toasted roll you experience before the crunch of crispy lettuce and then to the main event. Fresh lobster with a hint on mayo, lemon and a sprinkle of chives. Well that was last year before I was in Unilocal. Unfortunately yesterday the roll was stale, not buttered and the lobster was Canadian cryovac, which isn’t bad, but when live Lobsters are retailing at $ 3.59 a pound and your restaurant is in the heart of lobster country, well at best its just lazy. In my mind inexcusable. Also the mayo had no lemon or salt, no chives, no taste. The side of Cole slaw was tasteless and was served warm! Did they change chefs or are they just cutting corners?

During my last visit to the Portsmouth area, I got to experience a mighty cool dining spot called Latitudes. Try and visit during the early Summer to early Fall as that is when they have the outdoor seating open. Great views overlooking New Castle harbor. Food is prepared well, any appetizer is delish. Try the Cobb Salad with Lobster since they put a huge amount of Lobster on it. I found myself saying, «She’s got huge… tracks of land…» when it arrived.(Compliments to anyone who gets the reference) A bit pricey, but well worth the indulgence.
