With Thai and Indian restaurants these days turning tame, I’ve often been disappointed in my search for spicy food. But this hole in the wall place really brings the heat ! The curries were kept upfront, and they suggested we try all the different ones before making a choice — but the food that I got came out fresh from the kitchen. The servings are HUGE — I think it was only $ 5 for a small plate, and I couldnt finish half of it. I ordered the jerk chicken which was SOO spicy that I was tearing up but kept eating anyway coz it was so good. The others in my party ordered curry chicken which was delicious and flavorful as well, but not too spicy so if you dont want to burn a hole through your stomach it might be a better choice. The chicken comes with rice or roti (kind of indian style bread). The only complaint I had was that some pieces of my chicken were raw, but they were apologetic when I pointed it out. and it was only in my plate so I guess it was a few stray pieces … The décor is really casual — almost like a cafeteria — so dont expect anything fancy, but the ladies behind the counter are warm and friendly. Ooh and they gave us a free plate of appetizers while we waited for our food! Go try it!
