I rather start off with the obvious. When the kids are running the joint all orders become crunchy burnt jail food!!! Everything becomes tasteless and rushed .it seems no efforts of fine quality food prep is being heard of once the respected cooks have left the building, thank you thank you very much! The five star rating is solely base on the owners who still give Peppinos the best damn orders that absolutely hit the spot, made with love!

We order pizza from here like 2 times a month! I know we are some fatties haha, but the CHICKEN&BROCCOLI white pizza is so yummy!!! Can not get enough of it. We switch it up once in a blue … Pepperoni, bbq chicken, buffalo chicken, and also Hawaiian pizza. Family owned, they are awesome friendly people.

The food was okay. Ordered a lasagna dinner. Not much meat. Not to much flavor. Had the pizza in the past that wasn’t too bad. Won’t give up on them yet though.

Edited– I now eat Peppinos pizza about once a week and have yet to be disappointed. The Four Seasons pizza is amazing because you get to try 4 speciality pies. The Cheese lover pizza is also a delicious white no sauce pizza! We made our own veggie pizza– onion, spinach and eggplant. The eggplant was breaded which they didn’t say on the menu. I loved the combo. I grew up in New Britain and honestly am just used to sheet pizzas that taste like cardboard from NB pizzerias. Peppinos was really good pizza and affordable! I will update this review when we try more menu items such as salads or dinners!

I stopped in on a Friday at around noon and was surprised that there not more customers because in the past the restaurant always seems busy. I checked out the pizzas available for slices and was not impressed so I ordered ½ of an Italian cold cut grinder. At less than $ 6, I should have realized that it would be light on the meat and average tasting. One curiosity was the cheese used which I could not identify.

Been on the look out for a new pizza place since Gino’s closed down a year ago. Had a few hit or miss places this one is no different. Always order something different to give places their fair shake. This was the final chance. Ordered a fish melt sandwich and a seafood salad grinder. The fish and fries both cold by delivery time, tasted good would have been better hot but till good) The seafood salad(warm, bleh) was overpowered by onions and celery. There was more onions an celery than seafood. I called to complain but was met with the obligatory«we always make it like that…» well buddy guess what? You make it wrong. Moving on to the next let down… Sigh…

Ok for New Britain pizza, but they make up prices as they go along and often the order delivered is not what was ordered, and repeated back by the person on the phone.

Not sure what happened in a years time, but both the food and service sucked the last time we were here. Ordered meatball and mushroom pizza and it had a funk to it I couldn’t quite pick out. Service was crap, I had to order at the counter and pick my food up at the counter. You only have 4 tables and you can’t bring a pizza to me??? Another good pizza joint down the tubes…

My boyfriend raved about this place and i always doubted it. Big mistake. The best pizza I have ever had hands down. Very cheap too. A large feeds 2 with plenty of leftovers but we’re greedy and order the extra large for about a dollar more and have pizza for days. We always get our crust well done and its perfect. They even delivered to us during a snow storm and were still so kind, so they got a generous tip for that. Thin and delicious with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese! Make this your new local pizza joint!

I haven’t been living in New Britain for long, but if there’s one thing I know about Connecticut outside of New Haven or Fairfield County, it’s that you gotta be REALLY careful where you get your pizza. This part of the world is overrun by downright fake pizza places that have no idea how to make real New York or New Haven style pizza. But don’t give up hope: there’s Peppino’s. This is, in my native New Yorker opinion, the best pizza in the city. It very much reminds me of the place I used to go as a child in The Bronx. Sadly, that place is closed forever, so this is all I’ve got left. Peppino’s decidedly New York-style pizza is thin(though not New Haven thin), chewy, cheesy, and flavorful. Plenty of toppings to choose from too. And the non-pizza menu is really great too. I consider this a true bonus, because most New York pizza places are only good at pizza :). Try the linguine with white clam sauce, or one of the other pasta dishes. Have a salad, have a grinder, have whatever you like! It’s all good stuff. Only slight drawback is that it’s a very small storefront. So there’s only rudimentary seating, and crappy utensils/plates. But whaddya expect out of a place like this? It’s not meant to be a Venitian trattoria. It’s meant to do one thing, and one thing well: Make awesome PIZZA.
