I consider myself somewhat of a pizza connoisseur, having made them for 45+ years, and eaten them even longer. Our standard pepperoni and sausage pizza last night was probably the finest I have ever had. Thin but not crispy crust. Right amount of garlic in the thankfully not-too-sweet sauce. Perfect amount of sauce. Perfect amount of cheese. Outstanding flavors in the pepperoni and sausage. It is a tad on the greasy side, but when you bake cheese and pepperoni and sausage what do you expect? And this is easily remedied with a quick paper towel blot. I will never understand how pizza chains sell as much as they do when fine alternatives like Woolly Bully exist. If you are in the Beaver/Beaver Falls area or anywhere in Western PA, seek this place out, don’t be put off by the interior, and let the taste buds explode!

Some of the best pizza I’ve had. Ever. With pizzas like curry chicken, wedding soup, and big Mac, you can’t go wrong. They came in second in Pittsburgh in the WPXI contest. The crust is amazing. When we came on hawiian pizza night, you could see the mountain of pineapples near the kitchen… No canned stuff here. Everything is from scratch.

Trying what is supposedly one of the best pizza places in the BC. Well we got three pizzas ordered. The gyro, their special, and a pepperoni sausage. Ill post the results after theyve been consumed. Edit: I absolutely love this place and have been back for multiple pizzas since. The Gyro Pizza is my favorite, but every other special i’ve had has been really good as well.

If you ask a hundred people what their favorite pizza place is you will probably get 100 different answers. Unfortunately, 99 of them will be wrong. Now I am not saying that other peoples opinions are invalid. What I am saying is that if they give an answer other than Wooley Bullys it’s because they never had pizza at Wooley Bullys. I found out today, July 112014, that Wooley Bullys makes the best pizza around. I ordered a small pizza with four different cheeses and mushrooms. The service was quick and the size of the pizza was perfect for someone who is quite hungry. The crust was amazing. It was toasty, crispy, warm and with a bit of fluff. The ingredients tasted market fresh and the sauce was superb. I will definitely be back to order more. Until I find a better tasting pizza I think I’ll stick with these guys.

So far our best new discovery this trip, matching my favorite pizza in my home state, was Woolley Bullys. I was pleasantly surprised by the different varieties and can’t wait to try some of the more unusual combinations, like the Mexican with chorizo, salsa and sour cream. This time I picked my toppings, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and spinach. Although the spinach was good I wouldn’t add it next time. I was expecting more leaves vs cooked chopped spinach. The crust was excellent, which for me can make or break a pizza, crunchy edge with a slight sweet flavor and the flavorful fresh red sauce and lots of cheese made it even better. Price wise it was also a good deal. The bar itself was my kind of place but I can’t deal with a smoking bar so it wouldn’t be a place to hang for me. One of my favorite things was the bathroom signs, funny. I will definitely return on my next visit and it has jumped ahead of a few of my other local favorites.

Wooley Bullys features the best bar pizza you will have in your life, hands down, guaranteed. The Italian Stallion, the Chili Dog, Hunky Alley(think Hungarian pizza, kielbasa, potato, caramelized onions, and Colby) the selection is great, & varies a little w/daily specials. Be sure to try the pizza rolls(make your own«pepperoni» rolls) as well. 3 for 6.50 with any two toppings. By the way, the dough for all the previously mentioned goodness is made on-site. It’s a small bar with a small back room for dining. The back room is nice because it has a window to the bar making it easy to get a drink. Although, the backroom isn’t the easiest thing to find. The owner, Jay, is very hands on. Which is a must in my book, as quality & consistency are so important in this type of business. The staff is outstanding, friendly & fast. Besides the food, this place is sweet for live music. The only time I’ve ever seen a cover charge at the door was for a benefit concert and I’m more than happy to contribute in that situation. Killer bands in a small venue! Billy the Kid, The Sparrows, Mandy & Brian, Tripshod, Dave Iglar, acoustic, alt, blues, rock, they’ve got it covered. Live music sound quality is nice and usually not overpowering. Plus, there’s not a bad spot in the bar area to watch the show from(you can’t see the show from the backroom) It is a smoking bar, which normally I’m not a huge fan of, but whatever device they’re using to filter the air works pretty well. I saw other people complain about the smokiness, but it wasn’t something I’ve had a problem with. That’s coming from a reformed smoker. If you’re in Beaver County, Wooley Bullys should be a regular stop for you. Anywhere else? ROADTRIP!

It is hands down the best pizza in western pa. Maybe the best the pizza I’ve had anywhere. I do not like a lot of toppings on my pizza so I’ve never tried the speciality pizzas, but the plain cheese pizza is soooo delicious. I sometimes order the ham which is not your standard deli ham. It’s actual real fresh ham on your pie. This place is a smoke filled bar that gets super packed on the weekends, but don’t let that deter you from stopping in. Everyone is very friendly and you can the pizza to go!

I try to stay away from Pizza, but the pizza here is IRRESISTIBLE. Jay the owner, is a good guy. He always makes everyone feel welcome. This is where people come to bullshit, drink, and have a good time. The regulars that come here are some REAL ass mothafuckas. If you’re overly conservative, and uptight. Fuck off and go somewhere else. You must be cool, and have a sense of humor to fit in with this crazy crowd If you can’t take the heat, then get out the kitchen… Joe, Jackie, Flo, Jay, and his hot lady… they all good folks. I love the staff here. Every Tues is jam night. That’s the night you want to go. Every other night is cool too though. There’s a great selection of beer and liquor. Ps If you run into a retired rockstar who goes by the name of «JonnyG» Don’t fuck with him. Trust me. I heard he’s mafia.

Delicious pizza — may even be the best in Beaver County. I went there about 6 months ago when I read the article on best pizza in the Pittsburgh area and I must say that I agree. We ordered one pizza each but had enough left overs for another meal. The only reason why it did not get 5 stars is because it is filled with smoke. When one of the first questions they ask you is whether or not you want an ash tray, that tells you something. If you don’t want to go out smelling like an ash tray, I suggest ordering ahead of time and then taking it to go.

Ditto what everyone else has said– not a great location, small parking lot, bar filled with smoke. However the bartender/waitress was friendly and efficient. And the pizza. OHHHH the pizza. I did mention that the pizza is great, right? So call ahead, eat the pizza at home. Viola’ problem solved! Its worth it. and a win win. Plus the prices are great.

A co-worker often talked about this place and how good the food is. Finally this past weekend we decided to check it out, and you have to give credit where credit is due… this Pizza is good. I used to keep a list of my top 5 places that I have ever been as far as Pizza that I like and this place is now my number one. The pizza itself isn’t that complex its how the dough, toppings, and cheese compliment each other. I don’t think that a lot of people realize how far the cheese mixture goes in making a pizza great. And toppings, they sure don’t skimp on qualitity. Our neighbor was talking to us about how she loves pizza and would order out but it is pointless when you live alone. She even mentioned this place since it was featured on WPXI as the second best in the Pittsburgh region(this is a huge feat considering how far from Pittsburgh it is). We deicded to order together and while she went to pick it up I can not comment on the acutal location. But I will tell you that we will be ordering here again.

Warning, warning! This place is a real dive. Rundown. Smokey. Disgusting. Seems kinda like a church for down and outers. People not dressed up, with no where to go. And the joint wears the dive title well and with pride. I was half expecting Guy Fieri to be stopping by to sample the eats? Anyway… We were tricked into visiting by my pizza connoisseur coworker, whom I will no longer be referring to as friend. Their pizza was rated number 2 in the Annual WPXI Pizza contest. I know, I didn’t believe it, either. Yes, it’s true. And here is the proof: Everyone here is friendly. Especially the people running the dive. We asked where the dining room was and was told to climb up onto the stage and take a right thru a couple of doors to the«magic» location. Room is a good description. Tiny room, even better. This is one place where the«no smoking» area is a real pit. Two groups of small tables rammed together along a banquet wall to create sitting for two groups of six. And another table for 4 or so. Unfortunately, we were not alone. Another couple chose to dine here so they could make out. Yes, we were sorta forced to watch. Stoned couple, BTW. Friendly, really nice, chatty couple. Oh, well. The room also boasted a cut out window pass thru to the bar, so you can go get your own brew. So much for atmosphere and ambiance. We ordered the«Cinque Formaggio» with pepperoni. The five cheeses are mozzarella, provolone, colby, feta and parm. The only one that I could positively identify was the feta, and it was divine. Nothing better in this world than feta on your pizza. And the crust is fabulous. Nice crisp on the outside, tender and chewy on the inside. Best.crust.ever. We ordered an extra large. Do not order an extra large unless there are 4 or 5 of you. Or you want to take home massive amounts of leftovers. We were eating pizza for the next two days and nights. They also have concoct your own pizza and some really interesting specialty pizzas, I would love to try the Mexican, The Italian Stallion(lettuce and Italian dressing on a pizza) and the Chicken Bacon Ranch. Not sure if I can brave the smokey bar again to get them, although… maybe sitting on the sidewalk out front would work? Ten stars for the pizza, minus stars for most everything else.

The best pizza! We ordered a crab cake and a gyro pizza. Both were heaping with toppings on a light but not too thin crust. The place is small so I fear that it will become hard to find a table after tasting the great pizza.

While visiting my hometown over Thanksgiving, two beer-loving boys and I set out for good taps. We landed at Wooley Bullys, imagining what kind of bar this would be with a name like that. Turns out it is a biker, tiki-inspired, brick-oven pizza bar with a mainly male crowd watching sports on large TVs. Did I feel totally out of place in my ballet flats and curls? Not after 2 glasses of freshly-tapped Pumking I didn’t. After asserting how much we were digging the music and the place’s funny quirks(e.g. bathrooms labelled ‘dix’ and ‘nodix’), we ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, banana peppers and spinach to share. The pie was very good with heaping toppings and delicious crust; make sure to try some of the homemade hot sauce too. My only complaints would be the paper plates/plastic utensils and the general smoke in the bar.

Simply sophisticated, original, and delicious… a fat kids best friend!!! Wooley’s offers an array of fresh and original toppings. With pizza’s like«The Big Mac, Gyro(including lettuce, tomato, and cucumber sauce), and Taco Pizza Pie» you can see your flavor palate will only be limited by your imagination. Wooley’s also offers an extensive line of craft, specialty, and seasonal beers on tap and available in six packs.
