Ordered a coconut cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. The raspberry filling was yummy but the cake was so dry and the texture was coarse with no flavor. I was very disappointed as this was a birthday cake for my family. No one enjoyed it unfortunately.

Sweet bites by Lizzie is located in a small building on San Antonio street right across from the Children’s museum. There is ample parking directly behind the building. I just stopped in for a few treats, and was pointed to a very small display case. The bakery definitely seems to focus on larger custom orders. The cupcakes I bought were very thick and dense, more like a muffin with frosting and no filling in the middle. Not really what I normally expect from a specialty shop. A cookie I bought was adorable and had a unique design. I would stop in again to buy my kiddos cookies, but for my calorie bomb I will look elsewhere.

Lizzie is awesome and her sweets are the best in town. Lizzie made a cake for my wife’s birthday and had it done on short notice and it looked and tasted wonderful! Go try her out!

I heard about Sweet Bites at a networking event. Everyone was raving about the chocolate chip cookies. So we stopped by after lunch one day and picked some up as well as some Dulce De Leche cake and a cup cake. OMG! They were all soooo good. But the Dulce was TO DIE FOR! Wow! Impressive. :)

After tasting Lizzie’s cookies at a shower, my mom wanted to have them at a bridesmaid luncheon she was organizing. Lizzie was very accommodating, getting the perfect owl-​shaped cookie cutters for the custom job, and meeting me half-​way to Austin for the pick-​up.
The cookies are great-​tasting and EXTREMELY well crafted — lots of attention to detail. Though I did not attend, my mom says all of Lizzie’s cakes and cookies were met with rave reviews from the luncheon ladies.
This is a fantastic option for fine central Texas desserts!
