Pat’s Place has been a fave and friends for years. I always stuck with my usual: Chips and Queso. By far the best chips in town. By far the best burgers and friends love their Enchiladas. I prefer going here after the tourist Summer season when it’s more of a local crowd. I always make it a point to visit here whether for food or drinks with friends at the bar. Give ‘em a try! Cheers***

This used to be my go to resteraunt for a meal away from home no matter the day of week. Service has gotten so poor I am starting to avoid this place which is a real shame cause the food is still great. Hopefully the current staff moves on or shapes up in the near future.

So I am a fan because of memories of growing up in new braunfels and eating unhealthy food lol … The food is your typical diner food and this place has been around since 1977. so not really anything has changed. They serve everything… Chicken fried chicken, chicken strips, marinated chicken, fried strimp and the other country fare. The customer service has always been good and they hire the young people in new braunfels. So if you need a job, apply there lol … They are always packed and during the summer this is the place to go. Then again they are packed year round. and try to go before 12pm, or after 2pm. and after church they are forever packed. The price point is about $ 8.89+ per plate and they have a few kid options too. mac-n-cheese, grilled cheese, bean & cheese taco and more. I always get the grilled chicken, mashed potatos and broccoli. Now the potatos remind me of the highschool box tators. so they are definitly not the best around. but again memories lol.

Set at bar for 15 min and never even got greeted! Pat and Carole would be upset with the way this place is being ran today! Not even busy and kids just standing around talking instead of working.

Every time I’m in New Braunfels I always have to stop at Pat’s Place. We came here for dinner and ordered a large order of onion rings, which are to die for! They are crispy and they come with a side of ranch. I ordered the cheeseburger with a large order of fries, my mom ordered the no bun burger which looked really good and my father ordered the regular burger. Burger tasted so good, I couldn’t finish it all! Service was good and it was pretty crowded being that it’s tubing season and visitors from Schlitterbahn you may have to wait a few minutes. I love how the drinks come in mason jars and come in refill pitchers. Waitress was super friendly and helpful, she always came to check on our table and refilled our pitchers. Best restaurant to go to in New Braunfels.

In my journey of exploration of new places in New Braunfels, a work buddy brought me to this place for lunch. He has this habit of leaving at 11:30 so we arrived ~11:40. When we got there I was shocked that the parking lot was packed and the restaurant was even more so. It was surreal. EVERY table was full of retirees and we had to wait for a table to be bussed. Unbelievable. There must be a huge discount for AARP. They finally seated us in the corner. The table had that classic wobble to it that made me want to slide a few sugar packs under it. A sign of management not touching furniture for the last decade. It was clean and nicely situated. I ordered the Tuesday special which was meatloaf. I am a sucker for lunch time meatloaf at local spots. I also ordered the ice tea. It came in a cute Ball mug like I was doing some canning, but what I really appreciated was the personal sized pitcher so I could do my own refills. The food came pretty quickly. The meatloaf was good. Nice flavorings and a hint of ketchup on top. I added more of my own. What doesn’t go well with ketchup. The corn on the side was fresh out of the can. Couldn’t even tell if it was heated much above ambient temperature. Also with it was mashed potatoes. They were good and steaming hot. Bread was nothing to write anyone about(ironically, why did I just do it then?). Overall, if you want a cheap solid place to eat, this is your find. I got my money’s worth and could make this a habit if there weren’t a zillion more places to discover.
