Very nice owner who offered valuable information. He offered us a frequent buyer card and asked how we heard about them. Asked us to please come again as well. Attention to detail and good customer service. They had everything we were looking for and more. A little pricey but with service like theirs, why visit anywhere else. Shop local!

Wow, «Paradise» is right. When it comes to landscaping plants, this place has it all, and it doesn’t stop at palms. At Paradise Palms, you’ll find practically everything you’d ever want to stick in the ground in Central Texas… trees, grasses, specimen plants, bamboo, ground covers. We’ve purchased dozens of plants there in the past 18 months, with solid results. The owners are knowledgeable and usually on site, and it’s obvious they appreciate your business. And the prices are among the best we’ve found anywhere, including the big box garden centers like Lowe’s and Home Depot. Walk the grounds here and you’ll see a small forest of trees — palms, oaks, red buds, pears, fruit trees, even willows. Most are potted, but some of the larger trees have been planted in groves, and this appears to have allowed some fast-growing palms to really take off. For those who are willing to pay the upcharge for mature trees, Paradise has them. Though this huge plot along I-35 just north of New Braunfels is sun-drenched, you’ll find shade-loving plants under the protection of a tarp. Oh, and you’ll also find beautiful peacocks roaming the grounds. That’s a nice and unexpected touch. It’s fun to hear them call out, too. To call this selection extensive is an understatement — by a long shot. Along with all the usual drought-tolerant Central Texas favorites, you’ll find plans you’ve never seen, never heard of. We found a pair of beautiful Jamaican Sago Palms(sometimes called Cardboard Palms) last summer, and we’re excited to see them come back after the winter. A quick phone call to Paradise a couple of weeks ago gave us the guidance we needed to properly prune the plants for optimal spring growth. For those in the area, a trip to Paradise is great fun just to look around and see what’s in stock. But be sure to have some room in your vehicle… you never know what you’ll come home with. ;-)
