Lisa on Location

Oh, what can I POSSIBLY say about this woman?! Friendly, patient, skilled, tolerant, creative, artistic… MAGIC.
Lisa did our engagement and wedding photos. I tried going with another photographer initially, and was referred to Lisa. Once I looked at her portfolio, I knew SHE was the ONE.
Our engagement session in Gruene was sort of odd… when we got to Gruene, our car broke down, so all we were thinking about during the session was «omg, how are we getting home, how do we get the car towed, what the HELL?!» Through all of this, she managed to get some amazing photos of us… she definitely brought out the inner feelings we have and captured it in some amazing fall evening light that just took my breath away. I didn’t even know where to tell her I wanted to have the photos taken — just sort of what I was looking for, and it was her idea to head to Gruene. She even got a couple shots inside the dance hall!
Our wedding photos… and I’ve only gotten a sneak peek at those — they aren’t even all ready yet! — unbelievable. She moved around like a ninja… one shot she took she clearly had to be behind the judge, who was obviously in front of us — and no one remembered her being there! Skills of a true professional. Being there, being everywhere, and yet, being nowhere!
I am an amateur photographer (and FAR more amateur after seeing what she does!!), and I just can’t wrap my head around how she does what she does. The lighting is crazy-​artistic, and that’s so, SO key. I can’t even imagine how someone sees what she sees and makes it into something so moving.

I am a professional model and actress, and have worked with hundreds of amazing photographers over the length of my career. However, when it came to finding a photographer to capture the most intimate beautiful moments of me with my family, I chose to hire Lisa. I heard about her through a friend of mine who had just done some nursing photography with her, and the pictures were so sweet, so natural and deeply moving. I wanted to make sure that I too, captured this brief moment in the span of my life and my child’s.
I tell you, I was not disappointed. In fact, I felt like it was money well spent. I actually chose two portraits, me nursing my child and another gorgeous one of my husband and me embracing our little boy, to hang prominently in our home. The largest portraits that I have ever put on our walls. Every time I look at those heartwarming pictures, I thank myself for choosing Lisa on Location, and also for capturing this most important time of our lives. When we have people over to our home, they always comment on how special and unique our portraits are.
My advice is for people in the Austin, San Marcos and New Braunfels area to hurry up and book Lisa while her rates are still reasonable. I’ve already made sure to get her for our all-​important holiday card. Thanks Lisa! You’re incredible!
