Always good pizza! We come her every so often and also have my husbands favorite shredded onion strings. This visit Kathy was our server and made sure our service was above standard. Even though we did not feel we had to wait any longer than usual for our order, Kathy felt it was taking longer than it should. She included a complimentary order of garlic bread AND two complimentary custard desserts. My complimentary refills on soda kept coming as well and The bar offers complimentary popcorn with your drinks. Even though the décor is a little dated, the dining room is always clean and we enjoy sitting by the circular fireplace in the center of the room.

Classic Milwaukee dining — old school! I’ve been going to Armeli’s for years with my husband and in-laws. The interior reminds me of an Italian restaurant you might see in The Sopranos. My husband, FIL, and MIL love the Sicilian steak sandwich. I usually order a pasta dish. My favorite is the chicken cacciatore. I’ve also ordered the baked pasta dishes; not my favorite, but still good. The service is always good and it’s fun to order ‘classic’ drinks like a Brandy Old Fashioned. The only time I haven’t had a good meal at Armeli’s was a Friday Fish Fry this past year. The fish just didn’t seem very fresh. But considering the number of years we’ve been going to Armeli’s, and the number of great meals, they’re entitled to one off day in 20+ years.

The owner of this Armeli’s is a big loud bully! I had a gift certificate that I won at an auction. To me it should be used like cash. I also had a coupon from the Entertainment book. One coupon and one gift certificate. The waitress went to ask him if both could be used, he come out to the dining room yelling that«YOUKNOWYOUCANTUSEBOTHOFTHESE, I DIDNTPAYFORTHECERTIFICATE!» What does that mean? Anyway, totally rude and obnoxious! Will never return!

I can’t imagine why anyone would choose to eat here. I’m not from the area and family members picked this spot. I have to believe there are some better restaurants in New Berlin; it’s not exactly the middle of nowhere. It took a long time to get drinks set out and our orders taken — I picked the buffet solely because I had a suspicion that ordering food would take a long while. I looked at the buffet before ordering and it looked not great, but I wasn’t convinced that ordering off the menu would be any better. The people at the table who ordered dinners off the menu did not get their food until everyone else was done eating. The buffet food was worse than it looked. Iceberg lettuce and a slightly better-than-usual vegetable add-on section constituted the salad bar. The salad was probably the more edible part of the buffet. Two kinds of soup(tortellini and minestrone) were acceptable but mostly without flavor; the pizza was sparingly put out and tasted like frozen pizza. The ravioli was cold. The fried chicken was okay. This was just a disaster — food for people who are used to frozen dinners or processed food only and don’t know any different. I felt sad that we paid money for this. It’s also dark and dingy inside. Sad, sad experience. If I could give it no stars, I would, but that seems not to be an option.

I discovered this place about a month ago and have really enjoyed the food and hospitality. The pizza is absolutely amazing. The last time I’ve gone was on a Friday and they had a fish fry. A lot of people talk about the fish fry is being really one of the best. I have not tried it but it’s on my list. Tonight I’m going with their amazing thin crust pizza.

Ok so it is a typical Wisconsin pizza style restaurant… if that is not your thing then you won’t appreciate. I like this place for it’s simplicity. It isn’t trying to be something it’s not… inside is dark and stacked with memorabilia close to the owner and locals. I always sit at the bar and have a great conversation with whomever is working. Service is always exceptional and I enjoy that they cater to their regulars. Food is decent(try the app trio sampler) and it is in a good location. I’ll admit I keep coming back more for the service then the food but sometimes that makes all the difference

I’ve been eating here for 21 years and have had excellent experiences the whole time. Great salads, pizza & pasta selections. Staff have always been friendly and as noted from others, always strive to serve your needs. It’s an old fashioned Italian supper club atmosphere, in a suburban setting. The prices are very reasonable, on the less-expensive side of the scale.

My daughter graduated in June and family came to Shorewood from all over America to celebrate with us. My son, from LA, who is Vegan, and 6 vegetarians were all in the mix to go out for dinner, but where to go? My sister who was with us, from Vegas, went to school with Tony Armeli, who owns Armeli’s. Thus the name! She got in touch with him and he said he would gladly take on the challenge of the varied diners needing a big table! Soooo happy we went out there, they did a fabulous job with the food, vegan meatballs, are you kidding me? I was scared for sure but what a great call. We had the best time, it’s like eating at your mom’s house there, only you don’t have to help with the dishes afterward.(I guess unless you don’t pay)

I absolutely have to take a minute to give a huge shout out to Armeli’s for going above and beyond for my family and I. You see, I’m vegan, and New Berlin WI isn’t exactly overrun with vegan options. We called ahead and do you know what they did? Whipped up some AMAZING vegan meatballs, just for us! With how delicious and perfect they worked with our pasta you’d think they’ve been making vegan meatballs for decades. A little rice, mushrooms, and garlic, rolled up, seasoned and baked. Truly the sign of a good chef; thinking outside the box to put a smile on the customer’s face. A table of eight, with one vegan and five vegetarians the«meat“balls were a smash hit. They let us know they’d be happy to make them again for anyone who’d like to give them a try, they just need a little heads up phone call ahead of time to prep. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the cocktails were delicious, the staff were beyond friendly and restaurant itself was warm and inviting. What more could you ask for? I tell you what, I’ve been cooking vegan for quite a long time and I don’t think my first attempt at a vegan substitute for a meatball could have ever been that tasty. Kudos to Armeli’s, they aim to please and that’s exactly what they do.

I eat here sometimes twice a week for lunch. I like the buffet and the friendly waitresses. The food is not awesome but still very good. Better than typical fast food. The place as a whole is nice. They have regular coupons and/or frequent diner programs. You can get a free meal after dinning 10 times. This restaurant does not ban legally carried firearms.

Hm… I don’t think there are enough words to adequately sum up my disappointment with my past experiences at this restaurant. I’ve really only had to go here when family or in-laws are in town, but every single experience I’ve had has left me wondering why we bother. Every time has been a disappointment. Usually we get the pizza when we go and it’s ok.(pizza is kind of hard to mess up). The last time we went to Armeli’s, we ordered the dinner entrees and I quickly found out that was a mistake. I wasn’t in the mood to have a big heavy dish that took forever to make(like ravioli), so I ordered the angel hair pasta with plain sauce. The way the menu presented it made it sound like it was a dish. I asked if I could get some chicken added to it, just to fill it out a little more. Unfortunately there wasn’t an option on the menu to add chicken to one of the plain pasta dishes so the waitress had to have the kitchen make it on the side. This was the weirdest part — you had the option to add onions or mushrooms to the sauce, but not chicken or meat(??). Regardless, the waitress forgot to have the kitchen make my chicken. She brought out angel hair pasta with plain red sauce — a very disappointing surprise to say the least. I was expecting something completely different. The way it was presented certainly made it seem like I would be getting a dinner, not something I could have made myself at home. The sauce was not that good, to put it bluntly. It had absolutely no flavor at all, and the pasta was overcooked and squishy. By the time the waitress set my dish down and realized she forgot the chicken, it was too late. She was nice about it and certainly very apologetic, but at that point I just wanted my food. She finally brought the chicken out but I was pretty much done at that point. I still added it to my pasta — the chicken at least added some flavor the rest of the dish was lacking. My husband had the baked mostaccioli, and he said it was OK, but very bland. He also mentioned the sauce just wasn’t that good. Maybe it was an off day, but no one in our party seemed overly impressed with their dinners that night. All in all, it sums up yet another disappointing experience here. I’ve tried to be open minded and give them a few more chances before I wrote them off. I don’t think I would come here again, unless someone in our party is insisting. And if that happens, I’m sticking with the pizza next time.

Went here for a family birthday party yesterday at 4pm. We had a party of ten. This was not my pick of restaurants. It is an old building without windows. The interior was mediocre and looked cheap. The service was not that great. Everyone got their drinks right away, but I had to wait an extra 10 minutes. Their menu options are limited. They offer not much in the way of gluten free or other allergies. This forced me to order a salad(not many options to choose from). Everyone(except me) had hit the salad bar as part of their meal. I just sat there with my drink. When the meals came out, they were brought out in three waves. Again, I sat there while everyone else was served. I found this to be rude on the server’s part. I would think a person that has not had any food and ordered a simple salad would be served first. Others in the party chimed in on the almost mediocre food — the marinara sauce was just watery, tasteless tomato juice. They said ragu would have been a huge improvement. For the price the portion sizes were way too small. One of the party members ordered a beer. It came in a cracked glass and the crack was covered purposely with a lime wedge. How awful! That is dangerous and sloppy as hell to cover that up instead of using a new glass. The buffet was nothing special. The food from the buffet tasted bland. Overall, not a really good experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially those with food allergies. Go somewhere better for an italian meal.

Went here for lunch with two others and had the buffet. There was a large selection of food and one item didn’t taste like the other. They were all hot enough. Pizza area always had a nice selection because they made each pizza in four different ways. So ¼ would be pepperoni, the other sausage, another cheese and the last with the works. They had garlic bread and cheese bread. I thought the fried chicken was very good altho I guess other customers did too because soon after they brought out an order, all the white meat was gone. But I left there full to the brim and topped off by a cute dessert served in a small narrow glass. It was a light version of chocolate pudding topped with cream. Just a few tablespoons but perfect for that little space left in the bottom of my stomach. My brother really got his money worth by eating more than i was able to do. I’m sure he’d give it 4 or 5 stars.
