My three year old daughter and I have lunch here at least once every couple of weeks. The food is always great, the portions generous and the view of the runway is spectacular. That’s what got us here in the first place, to be honest. My daughter has a huge love of airplanes, so she loves to munch on her grilled cheese and watch for planes while Mommy enjoys a glass of wine. Their menu features lots of local fare and seafood. The only meat I eat is the occasional bit of seafood, and everything I’ve had here has been fresh and prepared well. They have a kids menu too. If you bring the family, the airport also has a great playground. After lunch, we usually head there. It’s such a nice way to spend an afternoon. I wouldn’t say this is the sort of place you’d want to bring a bunch of kids or anything, as it’s a pretty nice upscale restaurant. But as long as they’re well behaved, I say go for it.

Beautiful Décor, great views of the runway, great waitstaff, but mediocre food. Cannot say anything was bad, but nothing that our party of five ordered would compel us to return. Had the calamari and the artichoke dip appetizers. The Calamari was overcooked. Artichoke dip with garlic bread was fine. My roasted sole was good, but the risotto was undercooked and crunchy. Steak au Poivre, chicken marsala, baked scrod and salmon were ok, but nothing to write home about.

Airport Grille doesn’t even deserve one star but Unilocal makes you have at least one to post. I am typing this from my bathroom where I have been stuck since 4am last night with horrible food poisoning from their less than mediocre food. Service yesterday was sub-par, often having to call after our waitress for essential items she kept forgetting. Indeed, the food ordered was bland and lacked flavor for the ridiculous prices. The atmosphere is nice, but that is the only decent thing about the place. Will Never ever go back. Take your money elsewhere

First time customer for dinner. Very positive vibe. Very clean, modern feel and servers also knowledgable about the evening specials. The manager was on hand connecting with customers and staff. Chowder was heavy with potatoes and light with clams. Good calamari and crab cakes. Fish and chips were flawed with undercooked batter but the fish was cooked. I will go back and try other dishes I think this place has more to offer for to get a better assessment.

The food is average, something you can cook at home, nothing special. Very small food choice. I asked for French vanilla coffee, she added me a tea spoon of French vanilla vodka in it, cuz the do not have French vanilla coffee n overcharged me 6 $ for the cup of coffee. Awful n heart beaten. 6 $ for coffee. Expect downfalls, underwater rocks n bad attitude. Its right inside the airport. High prices, not going back ever.:’(:’(:’(

No Service Walked out after waiting 20 minutes and no one approached us. 2 parties came in after us and were waited on in 5 minutes. We mentioned this to the hostess and she looked and said«sorry» Pathetic service have no clue about the drinks or food!

Disappointing– food not as good as last visit and service left much to be desired. Salmon over cooked, calamari so so, pulled pork flatbread didn’t taste very fresh. Waitress was also tending bar and didn’t seem happy to have us– not best way to celebrate a birthday. Now I know why I always try to go to Margaret’s.

Came here for girls night. Everything was delicious. The mussels were amazing and you got a ton of them for the price. Spinach artichoke dip was on point. I couldn’t finish all i ordered even though I wanted to because I’m not as much of a fat kid as I think I am.

The broccoli was amazing. Our waitress, Julie, was pretty awesome.

I had never been to the Airport Grille even though I live 10 minutes away. I was a little nervous with a couple of 1 and 2 star reviews but willing to give it ago. I was in the mood for a steak so I didn’t even browse the rest of the menu and decided on the New York strip, while the wife chose the filet. Both were ordered cooked medium and that’s exactly how they were prepared. Both steaks, especially the filet were extremely tender and were prepared perfectly. I wasn’t super excited about the sweet potato hash as it was kind of bland but the green beans were fresh and cooked perfectly. We split the crab cake appetizer which was a little bland but very enjoyable. I have to give it 3 stars for 2 reasons and 2 reasons only. First off, SEASONING! I shouldn’t have to add salt and pepper to a steak in the amount that I did. I had to with the sides as well. Second, PRICES! For New Bedford, no way should drink prices, app prices and entrees resemble prices of Providence or Boston. All in all, I would defiantly go back for dinner or lunch, but never to grab a beer with friends. I have to pay my mortgage, not theirs.

I certainly didn’t expect what I found when I was told we are going to a restaurant in a small end airport. The ambiance was that of a 4-star restaurant with lots of glass etched designs and blue light that made the glass glow. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu item. They offer you rolls with a honey infused butter which was to die for. I never had a butter that tasted that sweet and I just wanted to eat it with no bread!!! The food overall was very good. I had a filet of sole with a creamy risotto and roasted green beans. My only complain about the food is they don’t season much so you have to add some salt and pepper. If you want a nice dining experience with some great food take a trip to the New Bedford Airport and enjoy a night at the Airport Grille.

Its changed over the years. Not nearly as good as it used to be years ago. Chef needs to season the food while cooking.

Used to love this place. Unfortunately, food quality has gone down-hill in the past year. Very pricey for the area. Great Sangria. Small Martinis for the price. Service during last 2 visits has been extremely slow /inattentive. Even when they were at ~15% capacity, 1st round of drinks took 10+ minutes once ordered. Servers seemed more interested in chatting with each other & complaining about things(loudly enough that we could hear) than providing good service. Took 10 minutes to get check once requested & had to physically get up and find Server to finally get check. Won’t be going back unless things improve. Wish I could give them a better review.

This is the best airport restaurant I’ve been to since they closed Señor Peppers in Farmington, NM. I came on half-price burger Monday. I had a blue cheeseburger and a bowl of chowdah. That had to be the best chowder, possibly ever — seriously! As for the burger, it was smothered in grilled onions, and very tasty blue cheese. Great, friendly service by Morgan! Highly recommend.

Good food, great atmosphere, good service I have been here at least 10 times over the last few years and have had consistently good food! While I normally order their fish entrees(today’s tuna special was phenomenal) my brother-in law said his filet mignon was the best he had ever had! This gem is at the airport with plenty of parking. I have never had to wait to get in! As an aside, I went to Pasta House in Fair Haven first(because it is close to my home) and there was an hour and a half wait at 6:30 on a Saturday night, It is great to have a quality restaurant with no wait at prime time on a Saturday night!

So there I was finishing up some business in Whaling Town, eager to head to the Vineyard for this weekend. While waiting for the flight at New Bedford Airport, I stumbled across the Airport Grille restaurant inside the terminal building. Let me tell you, this place is GREAT! Modern sleek look, friendly service, cool views of the airport /airplanes taking off and landing(though you can’t really hear them due to thick glass windows), and the food was terrific. I am a risotto fan, and the stuff they make here is outstanding. If you somehow find yourself in the New Bedford airport, plan for lunch or dinner here. Solid choice.

My brother and I were looking for a place to crash and have dinner for the day and we were lucky enough to see a small sign that said Airport Grille as we were driving. We both agree that every time we venture off we find an awesome new place to eat, Airport Grille was probably the best find thus far. Once you get past how beautiful the place is on the inside, and how amazing the window views of the planes taking off are; you realize there’s an even better aesthetic feel to it. It almost feels as if you found a speck of gold no one has found yet in the area. We had gotten a steak and mac and cheese with a side of fries. The steak was the most tender steak I have ever had, the fries had a lot fresher taste that I’m used to and the mac and cheese was an unusual but delightful mix of bleu cheese and many other cheese in a very well blended way(and I call myself a Mac and Cheese extraordinaire) All in all, Airport Grille has a beautiful aesthetic, awesome service and most importantly some really great food!(especially for the area) The only thing I’ll mention is the entrance of the restaurant is harder to find than most.

We’ve been a few times now and I’ve always liked the food. Atmosphere is good. I like watching the planes and passengers come and go. I enjoy the big picture on the wall of the children watching the airshow. I remember when they used to have this every year at the New Bedford airport.

Quick update. Went this past Tuesday with my ma-in-law. They have a fish and chips special on Tuesdays. Amazing! Maybe best we’ve ever had(and that’s saying something) I truly hope this place makes it. Its ironic because I’m sure its the location that holds them back… yet the unique location is one of the reasons to love this place. They really need to market this place. Maybe contact the New Bedford Guide’s Facebook page and see what they can do!!!

This is a great secret gem off the beaten path. Tuesday night special for two: 2 apps Calamari) 2 entrees(Roasted Fish) 2 desserts Carrot Cake, Brownie a la mode and a bottle of Chiraz. Great prices, great service, and an unusually nice view! It will not disappoint.
