The Noble Baron

My husband has been here many times, and although I’ve accompanied him, I’ve never had a service here as I have a regular stylist at Kenneth’s in New Albany. My stylist is on a short leave, and having had a couple of sub-​par cut at Square One, I figured I should try Noble Baron. Everything was GREAT! Josh was my barber, and even remembered me from when accompanied my husband days before our wedding last year. My cut looks great, he took his time, and clearly knows what he’s doing, and given the fact that the waiting room was full, I’d venture to say MANY other guys agree with me. What really shocked me… the price. Only _​$ 20_​! Seriously? Guys, you’re not going to find this level of professionalism and service for $ 20 anywhere else. Definitely a jewel for New Albany.

Jake was great. Highly recommend the entire experience. Well worth the wait. From the look to the ambience with the time that was taken to focus on me… i’d highly recommend.

PROFESSIONAL! I took my 18 month son for his first «big boy» haircut. I didn’t want to go to the overpriced kiddie cutters where you pay for flashy lights. I’d rather pay for a quality haircut. We arrived and were treated the same as any grown man walking in. When it was our turn the barber didn’t seem annoyed or flustered that he got stuck with the baby. Instead a stuffed animal appeared along with a booster and a small cape. A few minutes later my sons long saggy baby hair was out of his eyes even around his ears was perfectly trimmed (which is amazing considering my son never stopped moving). These guys are professional and relaxed and made me feel welcomed. This won’t be our last visit!!! Thank you!!!

Top notch place. My husband loved this place and I didnt mind the higher price since it made him so happy to go here. Too bad we’ve moved really, he misses the guys here.

TNB is an amazing men’s barber. They practice in an old school style of customer service, the art of cutting hair and everything else. Hands down my kids have had the BEST and most CREATIVE cuts here. gReat folks, great cuts, great experience!

The best haircut ever, period. I read the past reviews and I needed a haircut. I went and it did not disappoint. Jake cut my hair exactly to the way I wanted, good conversation and excellent neck shave. The place had the feel of an old school barber with the nuances of today. Reasonably priced and although I waited a ½ hour, very much worth the wait, which the wait is to be expected if you want a haircut done right. Will definitely be back.

Completely on point, these guys know what a gentlemans cut should be. Best cut experience i have ever had, this will be my regular barber shop now.

So, I have finally decided to try a barber after years of poorly run franchise businesses and barber shops. This is the BEST barber shop I have ever been to by far, and I will continue to support their local business! 3 barbers were working at the time, and they were all extremely professional. The business is very clean and the atmosphere is of the highest caliber. You don’t feel like you’re in just some regular quick cut barber shop. The quality and care were absolutely fantastic. Everything was tailored to meet my needs. The steamed towels and straight razor neck shave added a nice touch. I highly recommend the Noble Baron, even if you are non local. It is definitely worth the drive. The price alone is more than reasonable.
George was the first barber to cut my hair here. He took his time, and I didn’t feel like I was being rushed out the door. He kept it very punctual and made sure that I was 100% satisfied before he was finished cutting my hair.

I happened to be on this side of town when my son reminded me he needed a haircut. I did some searches and found the Noble Baron, a proper yet laid back barber shop with great reviews. We stopped in on a Thursday evening around 5:40ish and had no wait, got right in. The place is clean and friendly and Josh was great with both of my boys, ages 14 and 7.
As for the haircuts, they were perfection. You don’t realize just how bad a terrible haircut looks until you get a great one. The only downside? Their new little men haircuts make them look so grown up, which Mom never likes. ;).
Great place, worth the drive across town. I will definitely be bringing my boys back.

Got my hair cut here the past two times. They do a great straight edge and fade. Jake Bame did my trim the first time and was just point on. Old school barber shop with a twist. Better than the cheap great clips and local hair cut places. $ 18 bucks is $ 18 bucks. Wanna look good then go here! It’s worth a short wait. Some people like a haircut like they like fast food venues and if that’s the case don’t go here cause these people take the time and make you look good.

Jeff is incredible — best haircut I’ve ever had. As long as he’s cutting hair, I don’t want want mine done by anyone else.
I’ve been when it’s crowded and when it’s empty, but when crowded I only had to wait around 20 min.

If you want to go somewhere that contains the manhood of all barbershops this is your place!!!

Not sure if I caught these guys on an off day, but everything about my experience was average. The wait was about 40 minutes, which I expected after reading the reviews on here. They have 1 TV and a nice selection of magazines, so not a big deal to wait if you aren’t in a hurry. The barber was not overly personable. He really only responded to questions I asked him and seemed disinterested in engaging in conversation. The haircut was the worst part. I keep a simple buzz cut with one length all the way around. The edges and sides were fine, but the top of my head resembles a wave. Would not recommend this place and will not return. They also raised prices to $ 18, so they are on the high end for an inferior experience to Red Bank of Jerry’s.

Really like this place. Has a great vibe and the service was excellent. No complaints. I’m going back.

Affordable and most of all quality haircuts! First time to a barber shop in years, But after my experience there Im def saying goodbye to your average salon! The staff was really friendly and accommodating. You leave the Baron feeling like a new man… Thanks George!

These dudes are nothing but the best. I always go see my dude Jeff. He is so chill and always cuts my hair the exact way I want it. The prices are so reasonable too for what they do. This is a old fashion classic barber shop. Refreshments are there for you while you wait along with ESPN. I found this place by looking online and I’m so happy I quit going to places like Great Clips. Go there, ask for Jeff. You won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely recommend! Jake & staff are first-​rate and a bargain at twice the price!

I’ve been here a handful of times now and each time I’ve waited at least an hour every time but got a good haircut. So I feel torn… The business owner in me wants to fix the problem of the wait. On the other hand, they do a good job once ur in the chair and they’re always super nice and welcoming … Just clear your schedule for a few hours in advance to play it safe.

Those are just the first three words I would use to describe Jake. I sat in his chair for about 90 minutes for a Presidential shave and the experience was like nothing else I’ve ever had. Jake took the time to explain everything that was going on, why he was doing it and if you listen, can teach you a thing or two about your mug. Pay attention to this man. He knows what he’s doing and he will be going places — very big places. I’m glad I can say, «Hey. I got a shave from that guy back when…»
Educated. Precise. Personable.
Just three more ways to describe Jake. Seriously, when you sit in his chair, you will quickly feel like YOU are his reason for being; the only client; the only reason that chair is sitting there. He never once rushed. He paid very close attention to my ‘trouble spots’ and did everything possible to make sure they go away — including giving me lots of options and suggestions to improve my own habits to make sure they never come back.
I will be back. And I’ll make sure I need a cut and a shave next time.
The Noble Baron is a hidden gem in New Albany. But with service like this, it’s not going to remain hidden for much longer. Everyone needs to know about the Baron.
