I have been coming here for ice cream creations for many years. It is my favorite ice cream store. They have unique offerings that fit anyone’s taste. My favorite is the fuzzy navel. It has peaches, pecans and vanilla wafer crumbles. I always have them make it with pineapple dole whip to cut the fat out and because it is awesome.

I absolutely love mom and pops. their chilli dog is the best. All the ice cream concoctions are crazy and I couldn’t get just one when I visited. Razz ma tazz was so cold and creamy. The flavors where great also. If I lived closer I’d probably ‘ve there daily for a new treat. The employees where really nice and polite and helped me with my choices

We were here Saturday evening Read the great reviews Wanted to give 5 stars but couldn’t. Burgers and fries were very very good! Will definitely give another chance Here are reasons not a 5…, first they are very slow. Took a while to get food. Next it seemed the slowness was related to lack of adequate staffing. Then a local place like this one would think staff would be very friendly but staff seemed indifferent. While not rude, I would expect a little more upbeat. Wanted to order ice cream to but it was hot out and didn’t want it to melt. There are an abundance of choices. Anyway give it a try but expect to wait in line and on food.

Louisville dwellers… drop everything and head to Mom and Pop’s Cone Corner ASAP. Yes, it’s outside the city. Yes, it’s in New Albany. BUT, I promise this hidden gem knocks Graeters, Comfy Cow, Dairy Kastle and Pie Kitchen out of the water and is worth the 15-minute drive. I know that’s a big statement, but it’s true. And we eat a lot of ice cream. It’s a few blocks away from downtown New Albany where there’s plenty of parking space, gazebos and picnic tables in the shade. You’ll certainly be overwhelmed by the massive menu, but you can tell they are all thoughtfully crafted and made with the best ingredients. I enjoyed a junior«Your Father’s Mustache» parfait with super crispy fries. AMAZING. Unlike traditional sundaes, everything was layered so you could craft the perfect bite until the bottom. Since my treat had 4 toppings, I appreciated that they didn’t drown the ice cream and instead let everything work together in perfect chocolate harmony.

***They take CC’s now*** Damn good creations! The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because they use only soft serve as a base… still excellent!

what!!! are you serious this place makes me so happy. better than dairy del, dairy kastle, etc the owner who lives on the adjacent property opened up for us when we showed up early on a sunday. he rolled out the red carpet and we had a blast. incredible old school eatery. think floats, hotdogs, burgers, sundaes, etc

When you visit Mom & Pop’s you should plan to order a sundae. The owners have taken the time to come up with dozens of bizarre, creative, and delicious ice cream concoctions, each with a unique name. If you stand in front of the giant wall of options that include items like«Toss Your Cookies»(two mounds of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, marshmallow, Oreo, cookie dough, rainbow sprinkles, and Twinkie bits) and instead order a plain vanilla cone then you’ve missed the entire point of visiting Mom & Pop’s. With that said, Mom & Pop’s is great. It’s a Southern Indiana summer destination that is not to be missed. Just bring cash, it’s the only accepted payment method.

Amazing local ice cream shop. Went there as a kid and loved it … as so thrilled to come back as an adult. It’s cash only and takes a few minutes to get your order but is 100% worth it. They have a nice outdoor sitting area too! Super cute date night place!

I LOVEMOMANDPOPS! It was definitely my favorite place during those humid summer nights growing up in New Albany, IN. The owner is really friendly and is frequently working. The workers still use old fashioned math with a tax look up sheet to add up your order. They will create anything your heart desires. A chocolate derby(vanilla ice cream dipped into chocolate on a cone) is one of my favorites. I also recommend some of their creatively named parfaits. «Since Hector was a Pup» and«Your Father’s Mustash» are my absolute favorites! There is plenty of outdoor seating. The place is covered in benches and gazebos with picnic tables. I’m planning on going there tonight!!!

Love this little place. So many creative choices. Good/bad place for kids. Kids love it because they can pick a unique ice-cream creation with almost an candy in it that they could imagine. On the down side, there are so many choices it might be a while before they can decide. I know I loved this place a kid.

Bring cash. They don’t take plastic, so have some genuine, US Minted, currency with you. What that currency buys you, however, is some of the best ice cream around. The menu of parfaits, sundaes and other treats is extensive and features names like«Your Father’s Mustache» and«When Hector was a Pup.» These titles don’t describe the food at all, but they certainly are a bit more fun than just ordering a peanut butter cup sundae. Also, for some reason, the whipped cream here is like Ambrosia. I’ve never been a huge whipped cream fan, but this is as though it was blessed by the gods from on Mt. Olympus, destined to please all mankind on this dusty, mortal world. And it has sprinkles. They have food as well. It is pretty standard fare with hot dogs, chips, hamburgers, etc. Personally, I prefer to get my meal elsewhere and stop by for dessert. There are several seating areas, most with shade, that allow you to talk with your group of just enjoy a warm summer night with a cold cup of ice cream. Parking is never a problem and the staff is friendly and expedient.

This small red and white building hides something akin to a great national monument of ice cream. An old fashioned ice-cream shop this place embodies the American summer, with funny sundae names like«when hector was a pup», «icky gooey» and sundaes the size ranging from just right for a little kid to ones that feed the whole family. It will take you ten minutes to read the menu at least the first time. I’m still slowly working my way thru it. Mom and pops has combinations for everyone, with dishes ranging from great for a hot day to items you would dare your friends to eat just for fun. The People behind the counter are always nice and will go the extra mile. My step mom got the velvet Sunday once, its red velvet cake and ice cream, they didn’t blink when asked to blend it together creating a milk shake out of the sundae and just joked that they may want to put in on the menu. The on Catch 22 to all this great American ice cream bliss is cash. That’s right kiddies cash only, I make it a point to hit an ATM if I’m in the area, you should too.

Can’t beat old fashion ice cream fun. Reminds me of times growing up going to Polly Freeze. Great people working in a small box — delivering ice cream creations that make you smile. Great fun… Great outside places to sit… Great ice cream and I like their brats too!

This has to be one of the best ice cream places anywhere. Most of the menu is specialty concoctions that you will never see anywhere else. Practically everything has 7 or 8 toppings and some even have a dozen. Be prepared to make some tough choices. Only draw back is that they do not take credit cards, so bring cash.
