The MooShoo pork is absolutely outstanding here! We drive from Johnstown sometimes just to order Chinese food from here. Have not had a bad experience yet!

I have a three strikes rule when it comes to restaurants. This place is on strike two. I ordered the fried rice and soup the first time. The rice was hard and greasy, the soup was watery and WAY too salty… The second time, I ordered the General Tso. The«chicken«was a mystery meat that was stringy and tasteless. The sauce was okay but not very spicy. The fried rice was greasy again. I’d say if you like your average Chinese food experience, this place is okay. But if you like high quality Chinese then skip it! They have one strike left so I’ll try them again before long and maybe I’ll update this review…

As a resident of nearby Johnstown and not having too many dinnertime options out our way, sometimes we have to venture out to the nearby cities to find something new and hope for something good. It just so happens that my wife was in the mood for Chinese and we had already tried our local Chinese place, so we gave Lucky Yee of New Albany a try. I was pleased to see on their online menu(a good user-friendly website: not every indie Chinese place can say so) that they had lots of vegetarian options. In fact, it seems like they might make most everything on their menu into a vegetarian option if prompted to do so. As a vegetarian, I get a hankering for something from the olden days, without the guilt of eating an animal. So I told the person who took my phone order that I wanted sweet and sour«chicken» but with fried tofu to replace the chicken. She seemed to know exactly what I meant and needed no further clarification, which can sometimes be scary as a veg, but was much appreciated in this case. We ordered the crispy noodles, which was a bit of a mistake on my part, because I didn’t understand exactly what they were. Ignorant in knowledge of Chinese food, I thought it would be like lo mein, which I did not see on the menu. It was like noodle chips, which were very tasty, just not what I had in mind! My wife ordered the siam tofu and I liked her meal a lot– I may get THAT next time. My sweet and sour –tofu– was pretty good. The sauce was great, but the tofu was a little bit thicker than I expected and not fried like I had hoped. So it had a decent taste, but the We would try this place again next time we want Chinese and we’re in New Albany. I appreciate the customer service I had on the phone(my wife picked up the food) and the food was pretty good and I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the vegetarian-friendly menu options!

I would’ve given this place a better rating if it hadn’t been for one thing. I really enjoy their food and their staff is always very nice and pleasant. However, I went to place a delivery order today and found out that they keep your credit card information on file, the way i found out was my previous card had expired. I do NOT think it is alright to store customers credit card information without their consent. Especially since I do not know who has access to that information or even how they keep it. I will probably go back and get food but I will NOT be paying by credit card.

My husband and I order from here about once a week. We live in the apartments nearby so it’s a very quick delivery. The prices are pretty reasonable and the food is delicious! The potstickers are the BEST I’ve had! I’m not a huge fan of the hot and sour soup but the potstickers make up for it. And they have a few vegan options, which is rare for most Chinese restaurants.

Singapore noodles, seafood fried rice, curry fried rice… oh my! All yummy. I can usually get two filling meals out of each dish. Service is quick and food is reliably good.

nothing special but a solid choice for quality takeout. Quick service and clean establishment, ladies working there are very nice.

Meh. The food is your basic, quick Americanized Chinese. Nothing exciting or authentic about it. The food is ready quickly, but is a bit pricy for the quality. While this would do in a pinch to satisfy a craving, I would recommend rounding the corner and trying some of the more authentic options at Asian Taste.

The food is pretty good and they have good vegan options. What I do not like is the abrasive manner in which they conduct business in person or over the phone. Not everyone who orders is always familiar with the offerings. Not everyone who orders is willing to put God knows what in their bodies before ASKING simple questions about a dish. Perhaps that is a cultural disconnect but I honestly don’t care. To be such an established business and still speaking to people like they are ants… No bueno. The only time I’ll eat from this business is if it’s a co workers treat. Bad food with good service gets more stars than this. Update: still no change in service. FYI

They putted too much MSG on food, it’s little pricey for a take out place and no service on dine in. Only few table to sit, Not a good choice to dine in here, not coming back! Staff talking too loud in the kitchen

Tried it, loved it. Huge selection of food! I love that they have traditional Chinese food but also serve Thai and curry dishes too. You gets tons of food for the dinner portions. I tried the orange beef, it was amazing. Service was fast and friendly. I don’t suggest eating there on a cold day though. The dining area is small and it gets REALLY cold from the door opening and closing; just get take out! :) Can’t wait to try some Thai dishes!

It has been nearly impossible to find a decent(overcooked noodles, generic sauces, nondescript vegetables) Chinese restaurant here but I love Lucky Yee and only discovered it because I took a job in New Albany. To put it this way, I will make the 20−25min commute from my home to get here when I’m craving mu shu. I always order take out, the seating area is small inside, and the woman at the register always seems happy to see me. Probably one of the only places I’ve ordered from consistently that has never gotten the order wrong.

Damn it, made this mistake again out of a desire for delivery Chinese. Beef satay, drier than jerky but good flavored jerky. Before this next one, when I order something off the«spicy» menu, I expect some heat. By heat, I mean that it should burn somewhat, but retain the flavor of the regular item. That being said, the spicy seafood lo mein was so, insanely, hot it was inedible. I dry habenaros and make my own crushed pepper flakes. I REALLY tried to enjoy this, but 3 mouthfuls in, I ended up eating 2 yogurts in an attempt to end the pain. Not everybody deserves a 2nd chance.

I never complain about portion sizes but these are SMALL and not appropriate for the pricing. The steamed rice tasted like minute rice and the chicken entrée was mostly sauce and vegetables. But the delivery was fast? I’d recommend panda express before this place.

Used to be awesome when they first opened… but over the years the portions have gotten tiny. I ordered a large dinner portion of General Tso Chicken and it was only enough for one person. Still tastes great, but waaaaay too pricey for the portion size. Won’t go back… Asian Taste is the same price & quality, but gives the right amount of food. UPDATE March 2015: Not sure about lunch portions, but the dinner I ordered was back up to previous size & quality! Stars also back up from 2 to 4+

We just had Lucky Yee for the first time, and man, it was good. I called in our order and my husband picked it up. We had the appetizer Sesame Noodles, and two entrees– the Sesame Chicken and the Beef & Broccoli. Everything was spectacular. The portions were definitely smaller than Great Wall, but the taste was light years better. We will be getting our Chinese take out here from now on :)

Have been getting takeout here since they opened. Love that it only takes 10 min from the time you order. The portions are slightly smaller than Great Wall, but it is much tastier. Besides, I can’t eat Chinese takeout for 3 meals… just 2. Completely addicted to their sesame noodles(appetizer); generous portion and the right amount of kick, peanut and sesame. I wish I could make them this good! They offer brown rice for an extra 1.50. Other good menu items: –wonton soup –lettuce wraps –crab rangoon –sesame chicken

TIny seating area, but great food. I just order by phone and pick it up. A variety of Chinese and Thai dishes, made well and with fresh ingredients. I’ve tried about half the menu and have not been disappointed once. There are coupons on their website for 10% off, etc.
