This place is real nice. I’ve had a lot of Mexican food since its my favorite. I got the veggie fajitas and table side guacamole. Everything was great, and the salsa was on point too. Server was very friendly and the place is clean and has a cool ambience.

It was just ok. Service was ok, food was ok and the margarita pitcher was a little under par for $ 38. Not interested in returning

We went last night and it was ok. I had the Carne Azada, ordered it medium and of course it was served over well done. My fiancé ordered fajitas and he didn’t even take 3 bites. He said the chicken was not tender. They are fast and the service is friendly. So if you are looking for mediocre, overpriced Mexican with a friendly staff that’s your place . First and last visit.

I thought long and hard before deciding how many stars to give this place but the difference between 2 and 3 was just too wide in my mind. 3 salsas to start was OK, nothing earth shattering and DH and I agree that 2 of them were the same. Tableside quac is hit or miss depending on your server and his heavy hand(or not) on the spices. Ours was WAY too salty and with salty chips… YIKES! I also elected to delete the tomatoes in our guac so that in itself might have soaked up some of the salt he dropped in. Chile rellenos stuffed with potatoes? what an option! and no thanks, went with the cheese, YES thank you! and it was breaded not the traditional separated then joined egg coating… not that bad. Then the beef burrito came… here again heavy on the salt… too heavy in my opinion, I could not eat it. DH didn’t think it was too salty so I took it home. I really wanted to like this place since it’s practically in my back yard, but I’m not going back… there are too many good/great places to get good/great Mexican food… Life is too short to compromise… in my VHO

We come here pretty often for dinner. Wife loves the table side guacamole. The chips are salsa are good. Wife usually gets chicken and I usually get fajita nachos. Staff is very friendly. If the steak fajitas were a little better I would give it 4 stars.

Good food but poor service. They didn’t seem understaffed, but unorganized. Our table had two waiters and both seemed to shun our table. We didn’t have chips and salsa more often than we did, they forgot about a beer order, happy hour discounts were not applied to check, and service was slow in general. Overall it’s a higher end Mexican restaurant that meets expectations with the food, but falls way short on service.

I love the trio of salsas delivered table side the moment you are down to your seat! There is a wide variety of chicken, beef and veggie options. A plethora of servers keep the customers happy. I’m anxious to return with my family but the drive would be far. Thankfully, I have a client nearby I’ve been visiting monthly lately.

Fresh chips and cold beer that’s all the good news. Queso con chorizo was epically disgusting. No it can’t be that bad… oh yes it can!!! The small 8−10oz serving took 27 bar napkins to dabble off the GREASECOVERING the top; after that much work I was hungry so I tried it. B L A N D! I am like 2 miles from Bob Evans international HQ; call him get some sausage that’s tasty an made from something other than fatty gristle. 3 time I’ve true this place; DONEBITAGAIN!

The only thing that saved it was the decent food — — the second time around. Our waiter was rude and overcharged us. My fish tacos were nasty and when they replaced it with a less expensive dish they charged me for the tacos and lied about the price. There are lot of other good local Mexican restaurants around with courteous service. Going forward I am avoiding this place!

7WORDS: Classy and Upscale /Traditional Yet Bland Mexican LUNCHTIME, EARLYNOVEMBER. . We approached Blue Agave with a some expectations. After all, it had a great name and a really good feel when we first entered the restaurant. However, the food itself was average and lacked any true style or panache. . Although we arrived at noon, we were seated promptly and our server was quick to our table for the drink order. When he returned, we placed our order. I ordered the Beef Quesadilla Relleno and my friend ordered the steak tacos. . While we waited, the atmosphere was pleasant. The lighting was subtle and the whole room was reminiscent of Rocky mountain architecture with earth tones.. If you were drinking margaritas late on a weeknight, this would definitely be a good place to stop. . Our food arrived within 15 minutes and was well cooked. However… my serving came with side orders of beans and rice — just what you’d expect — but the quesadilla itself was a simple fold over(omelet-style) flour tortilla wrapped around the normal layers of cheese and steak. While the taste was good, it was simply a single fold over — and for 8.99, that’s pretty skimpy on the portions. After the meal, I finished off the last of the chips and salsa and was still quite hungry. My friend had steak tacos and she found them good, but leaned a little more towards average after I had talked about my food and how utterly bland it was. It wasn’t bad like Mi Mexico over in Whitehall, but it certainly wasn’t as good as Poblano’s in Reynoldsburg, the old Talita’s, or even the brand-simplicity of Chi-Chi’s restaurants back in the 90s. . When the server brought our bill, it came to $ 21, which is neither low or high priced for a lunch portion of any reasonable size. Since we weren’t socializing, we promptly paid the bill and left.

Not sure why this place has such a crappy rating. I mean it’s no Cuco’s(yep, I’m totes biased), but the food is standard(even good) and the drinks are strong enough. On a recent visit, I partook of a California burrito sub shrimp instead of meat. It was delicious and I seriously had 14 shrimps in this puppy. That’s practically unheard of and I love me a good deal. I also had a few cervezas that were appropriately cold and refreshing. So if you’ve decided to move out to the suburbs and can no longer go to Cuco’s, this should satisfy your cravings until you can get yourself to Henderson Rd.

I’ve taken my family here a handful of times and every time, we’ve enjoyed our meals. I’ll admit, it’s nothing spectacular, but as far as family Mexican food restaurants go, this place is a winner. The chips and salsa are a great start and there are plenty of options to choose from. They have a full bar with happy hour specials on weeknights that are worth checking out. The staff is friendly, which is a plus. The food items we’ve had here have all been satisfying and the experience has been enjoyable. I’d say take your family here and enjoy a meal at reasonable prices. I’d like to give them 4 stars, but I haven’t been WOWED yet. We’ll go back there again and I hope it happens!

This place has great food and really fast service. They are wonderful with kids and have a really friendly staff. Great rice and salsas. I love the chimichanga suprema. Big portions and reasonably priced. Note– it is not where Apple maps shows it. It’s in the plaza with Tim Hortons and Subway on the north side of 161 not the south.

My gf and I came here by accident on a Thursday night after a Women’s Conference at Faith Life Church in Johnstown. We took the wrong exit looking for a local Italian spot we’ve been to before, but decided to go Mexican since we were hungry — best mistake we could’ve made. The service is spot on. The food is served quick. The ingredients are super fresh. The ambience is fun. The bathrooms are clean. I had the ceviche appetizer and the table side guac — both superb. My gf had a cup of sopa de pollo and the vegetarian enchiladas. She was raving. When the bill came it was super friendly on the pocket. Good stuff. New local fave.

The table side quacamole is the only reason they didn’t get 1 star… Went with a group of 7. It took 15 minutes to ask for a refill and receive it. Took another 15 minutes from the time they picked up our cash to return the change. While we were trying to enjoy ourselves, it took 2 hours to eat and get two rounds of drinks from the bar. The food was super overpriced and even more bland. $ 10 for a chicken and bean burrito. The rice had no flavor. The chicken was mildly seasoned. No flavor to the beans. I’ve had better burritos from Taco Bell.

Love the guacamole that they made at the tab le side! And I liked the 3 different salsas that were served with the chips, but I think they should have offered more of it. Their lime margaritas are not great. Not even good. I changed to a Texas margaritas and it was much better. That’s why 4 stars. Mexican restaurants should have GREAT margaritas.
