I had a very poor customer service experience the first time I tried this place after moving to the area. I couldn’t care less about their food at this point. I will never go here again. Too many other good Italian places in the area to bother with them.

Know what? I have had enough. I have been ordering from here for years literally in since my last review I noticed every time we order its either great or it isn’t. Its like food Russian roulette. Today I gave up for good and I hate to do this because my husband really likes their minestrone soup but jeez… calling and telling them is useless because I tried a few time and like today, its a teenage girl saying«Im so sorry about that» and then nothing. So…My husbands basics were fine– chicken parm. hero and soup. I don’t think he would say a thing anyway he is a human garbage disposal when he is hungry. Now…I ordered chicken francese with grilled instead of fried chicken cutlets and gluten free pasta with garlic and oil. The pasta was good but there was nothing in the dish. It was a small container filled half way. The chicken francese was really kind of disgusting. It was what seemed to be a thick light brown gravy with lemon squirted into it. It was like thanksgiving gravy texture with a strange lemony Chinese food taste. I thought I ordered Italian food!!! The three TINY cutlets that were dry and charred to a crisp were floating in it. The portion was ridiculous. I found that if I eat the pasta together with the chicken to balance the dry weird tasting chicken entrée it was doable. The pasta was gone by the end of the first cutlet. The price for this wonderful meal I choked down in my state of starve? 17.99 plus tax plus delivery charge. yeah. I am finished here sorry guys. Let me know when you get a new cook staff, for now I will just make it myself or go elsewhere.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Because the food is sometimes on point but not consistently. Every time i havent gone after a while… im like i gotta go to this place more often. Then I go more often and I receive something thats not as good as it could be and get disappointed. But dont get it wrong… this is not a negative review. It is not my favorite place ever… but I will go to eat here without hesitation. I prefer the sicilian slice or pie when I go usually.

Went to Gino’s for pasta night, and had an all around great experience. Staff behind the counter was very friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. Waitress was also very sweet and helpful when choosing our entrees. I definitely recommend taking advantage of the pasta night special, it’s a great deal for both the high quality of the food, and service. I can’t understand the any poor reviews of this restaurant, as I have never witnessed rude employees or bad service here… I highly recommend it!

Workers are extremely rude when I pick up an order. Every single time. Won’t be returning

Three strikes I will leave two stars just because when the food is good it’s pretty decent but we have had three negative experiences here now and will no longer be going back. I will be brief but will say more than once we have received attitude or arrogant demeanor from workers while picking up food like they are doing us a favor so I will consider all those times«one» Then two times I called more than an hour in advance to have pizza ready for my wife to pick up when she got home from work. The first time it was not ready and when we got it was burnt to a crisp. The second time it was the same thing except it was an hour and a half in advance and my wife saw the guy putting the pie in the oven as she walked in. She asked if that was her pie and he said no, and was uppity with her. It was the only Sicilian pie in the oven so she know she had lied. It was only cooked about 6 – 9 mins total but looked like maybe it was done when she brought it home. But when we tried to eat it it was raw. We called and after much ado they did deliver a new one but we had to wait. Very long time to eat. He could have just apologized and not have lied and we could have avoided all that. Poor customer service on his part and all around. A shame because it’s so close and I really wanted to like it there. It’s. It just one employee though and I don’t seem to be the only one to be complaining about the attitude. Someone ought to check that because there are plenty of pizzerias in the area.

The review from Julian A is off base. Once you said pizza was horrible the rest of your review lost credibility. The pizza is very good. I can see the rest of your review making sense. Regarding, the rudeness. But let’s not take that out on the food. Because the food is very good. The attitudes in there, another story. For Suffolk County, it’s very good. Not comparable to the top pizza places in NYC, Brooklyn and queens. For Long Island the pizza/food is very good

Thought we give Gino’s of nesconset another try. My friend and I decided to have dinner there one evening. Were we disappointed. The chicken parm was sliced so thin that the breading was burnt and tough to eat. I have to admit that the dinner salad was great. My friend had the eggplant parm. The eggplant was sliced thick and not breaded. We both left most of it on our plates. When we told our server she said she was sorry and went to talk to someone. She came back with the check and she said the check had been Adjusted. When I saw the check it had been adjusted $ 2.00 per dinner. We left the food there, paid our bill, never to return. Besides the people aren’t the friendliest and the service is lacking. Try Gino’s of Ronkonkoma better. The food is Great !!!

Food is okay, nothing special. just your average pizza place. The service is horrible though. Orders are always wrong or missing something, no apologies given. They should advertise that if you order a chicken Caesar wrap, that is not on a wrap but wrapped up in a pizza slice. I only order from here because my office is given gift cards every now and then. Ginos of Ronkonkoma is much better all around!

Horrible, the server at the counter was rude, the pizza was horrible, the sauce was bland and I’ve tasted better pizza delivery boxes than the pizza at this place and on top of that EXPENSIVE, and the guy gives you an attitude like he’s the only pizzeria on the block and you owe him, keep away

Best pizza place around the area. Little Vincent’s is a joke. I work in Ronkonkoma and this is the only pizza place I go to for lunch. Gave 4 stars only because sometimes the staff seems a little snotty and doesn’t pay attention to your orders as you wait. More than once my food was sitting waiting to be bagged and guy was using his phone. The food makes it tolerable tho.

Fantastic pizza here. Come here whenever I come back to long Island to visit and have to satisfy my longing for ny pizza. Tried the chicken marsala pizza this time and it was awesome. Rice balls were great, white pizza is great, and the meat stuffed pizza is delightful! The grandma pizza is good, but wasn’t as crisp as other places and not as bubbly on top. this is my only reason for not giving 5 stars, and is most likely just a matter of preference for me.

Hands down the worst chicken parm hero I’ve ever had or seen before. The bread wasn’t toasted ATALL and was extremely chewy. There was less than a table spoon of sauce and literally zero cheese. Flavorless. I was expecting a delicious hero delivered to my home and it ended up being a HUGE let down. I’ll stick to Mama Mia’s.

Not a bad place. Seemed to be better early on but it almost seems like it had a management change? The employees are great! You see the same people when you go there and they recognize you instantly which makes anyone feel good. The food is good but sometimes takes a while to come out. Short staffed in the kitchen? Check it out

Did we catch this place on an off night, or is all of their food aimed at people with no taste buds whatsoever? Let’s clarify: I placed a takeout order at 3:30/arrived at 4:15. Was told that it wasn’t ready… waited 5 minutes… was asked by the manager(?) if he could help me… turns out the food was ready and waiting. Got home: minestrone watery, no pasta. Garlic knots anemic. Chicken Parm BURNT. Other chicken dish flavorless. Salads OK. Got to see pizza in showcase… small slices, nothing enticing. Guess we’ll try the place a block or two down.

I just want to start by saying that I very rarely write reviews. I generally only will write a review for a place that is excellent and am giving it a 5 star rating… That said… I am not at all a fan of this place. I’ve never«eaten in» here, my experiences are all from the take out counter. Let me start by saying that the guys at the counter are rude and not very friendly. One of the guys is straight up disinterested. I get the impression that they feel like they’re doing you a favor by taking your order. The pizza is mediocre at best, but priced like it’s the greatest pizza you will ever have. Way too much for a single sicilian slice. There is significantly better pizza in the area: Little Vincents(2 mins east) has much better regular slices, and Giorgio’s(¼ mile west) has much better sicilian slices, specialty slices, and chicken rolls. The chicken rolls at Gino’s are pretty decent, but this has to be the only place on the island that charges extra for a little cup of sauce. Are you kidding me?

I am not in this neck of the woods often, but I wish I was! Wow. This place has a GREAT lunch special menu. My dad lived in Nassau practically his whole life. Moving out to the sticks was a shock for his taste buds, among other things… When I’d talk to him, he’d tell me all about the awful pizza he discovered and how much he missed our local place. Then he discovered Gino’s of Nesconset. Our favorite place together was the Elmont Gino’s, so him finding another Gino’s was like, kismet. It was my dad’s birthday and I wanted to take a ride out to see him and take him out to lunch. He suggested Gino’s and I kinda chuckled. Old habits die hard. I figured, this place can not be as good as our favorite. Al’be’damned. It was. The place is close to his home in Ronkonkoma, and located in a little mini shopping mall. There was plenty of parking around lunchtime, and we were happily greeted by the staff. There is a cozy area in back to enjoy a meal or a slice. I scanned the lunch menu, and instantly fell in love. For a mere $ 9.99 you get a choice of a drink, soup/salad AND half a hero, of your choice. Meatball, sausage and many more. That ain’t lunch, it is a MEAL! Flip the lunch menu, and there are more great combos. Salad and a soup for $ 7.99. I love a good hearty salad. Not just the soggy greens and a few carrots. Gino’s has the motherload of salads. My dad decided on side one of the menu, me side two. He ordered the«Gino’s Salad» which is loaded with greens, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers and olives. Not your run-of-the-mill salad. The half hero, meatball parm. After polishing off that salad, he took two bites out of the hero and was stuffed. It looked delicious. He had lunch for the next day. I got the salad and soup combo(and not because I was paying! he he) I was just so mesmerized by all my all time favorite, soups and salads. I got the Insalata Buenavista. Even the name made me excited! Apples, candied walnuts, fresh mozzarella with a great dressing(I believe honey mustard.) I truly savored every bite. My soup was Stracciatella. REALLY? Am I really dreaming? No other Italian restaurant(I have found,) at least of the South Shore, serves this soup. It was piping hot but lacked the ditalini pasta I am used to. It was still delish. Who knew I could fall in love with two Gino’s. Oh, and, my dad snatched that bill up before I could treat him. Déjà vu in a Gino’s. Suffolk style!
