Really enjoyed lunch at SAMs. Very nice people and wait staff. We enjoyed the wood fired wraps and they were delicious. Highly recommend a stop here to enjoy the food as well as the folks who run it.

I didn’t eat here this time(have before and food is very good!) but just stopped in for a couple of beers with a co-worker /buddy. Great staff here at the Cellar. I love coming here during a business trip visit. Good decent prices on tap beer, very cold, and wonderful environment.

An amazing place to have a «fancy» sit down dinner in Neosho. Definitely one of the nicest restaurants/bars and with the occasional live music on the side this is easily one of my top 5’s. Unique blend of retro, classy, and modern with some real good Pizza.

Took well over 30 minutes to get our pizzas. When they arrived, one that had been ordered without onions had onions. The waiter took it back and the staff proceeded to pick off the onions. When asked(10 minutes later) if it was acceptable, we said«no». 15 minutes later(an hour after arriving), we finally got our second pizza. There were no apologies and no offer to comp any of the pizza. Full price plus a 12% tip was paid(the waiter didn’t make the mistake, but didn’t check the pizza either). In their defense, the pizza was good and mistakes happen, but when they happen it should be an opportunity for a restaurant to see how they can make a customer happy. Sam’s cellar didn’t make an attempt. How they handled this was unprofessional.

I must say, I was left scratchy my head. All the great reviews have left me wondering, «did I eat at the same place?» I am being generous with 2 stars. 1.5 would be more accurate. We ate in the late evening on a Sunday. The place was crowded, which doesn’t take a crowd as the place is fairly small. The décor is pretty cool with an eclectic blend of modern and vintage touches. Think LED lighting, rough hewn timbers and diamond plate metal. We had to wait a bit for a table but our waitress was helpful and courteous. We started with a couple of draft beers. I had a Sam Adams seasonal that was well poured with a proper head. My date’s Bud Light had no head, which was most likely the fault of the beer… assuming you consider Bud Light beer. Now on to the puzzlement. Reviewers have lauded the pizza here. But simply having a wood-fired oven does not a good pie make. We ordered a half meat lovers, half spinach artichoke. I can best describe this as «pizza from a bag.» The crust came from a bag, the cheese came from a bag and the toppings came from a bag. Honestly, I think PIzza Hut would have been ashamed of this crust. You could even see the machine marks on the edge where it had been stamped out. It wasn’t really thin crust but couldn’t be considered thick either. Maybe, by mistake, they used the card board circle normally packed in pizza boxes. The sauce was decent enough, but the toppings were typical of a midrange chain. I didn’t detect any artichokes on the one half. What’s even more surprising is that the crust was white on the bottom. A wood-fired oven should be somewhere north of 700 degrees and would most certainly brown the bottom of the crust. But maybe that pre-made crust just doesn’t brown. Seriously, pizza dough is not hard to make and it is the all important foundation for a delicious pie. None of this was the fault of the staff. They were doing their job as directed.

Great atmosphere — great food — great staff! I’ve only recently discovered this little treasure, but I now go out of my way to eat there. One-of-a-kind!

I’ve stopped in here a number of times visiting family. Sam’s is a basement pizza place with several large TVs, a decent beer and spirits selection and TVs at the table if you like. The atmosphere is better than you’d expect on an otherwise decaying city square and frankly, befits an area far more vibrant than this one. The pizza is quite good. Nothing fancy, but good.

I think I offended a local when I said I can’t believe an amazing restaurant like this exists in Neosho. The drinks were good, the Tues nite blues band playing was fun, the pizza was wonderful, and the BBQ brisket pizza– well if it really was just KC masterpiece I don’t care– it was amaZZing!

If you ever get a chance you have to stop by this place!!! The atmosphere is awesome! The beers are cold and the Pizza is hot!!! The only downfall is it is so small! I wish they had a bigger place.

Consistently good food and good service. I take many business associates from out of town here. They all talk about how cool the place is and I have never had anyone complain about their meal. I haven’t ordered everything on the menu but I have to be getting close. Everything is good and the price is right as well.

Very clean! Nice atmosphere. The no smoking is great! Pizza was really good, as service was awesome. If you normally have salads as part of your meal I would stay away from their salads. It wasn’t very good and it didn’t have any actual lettuce.

Love this place! Me and my Army buddies hit up this place every time were here. The food is great although I think the price for the pizza is a little high but well worth it. PIZZAPIZZAPIZZA

Awesome underground bar /pizza joint. Has a very urban feel to it like an upscale pizza place I’d find in St. Loius but tucked away in this little town. Definetely worth the hunt to find this place in the downtown area.

I have eaten there a couple of times and the food has always been pretty good. Gotta love the atmosphere and all the old pictures of Neosho hanging round on the walls. It’s just a great place to go and eat lunch and have a couple of drinks. Will be going back and thanks for cutting out the smoking.

Pizza toppings are good but for a thin crust it wasn’t very crispy. Bartenders are very attentive. Great underground pub atmosphere.

The food here is always fresh, and made to order. with an interesting bunch of flavors of Wood fire pizza to choose from you will find something that will poke your curiosity. The Staff are very friendly with a fun attitude. and you can enjoy some drinks and a pizza for less than $ 30 a couple. You will need to get here before 6pm, as the name suggests it is an old cellar and isn’t a very big restaurant. Wednesday night is smoke free, and they have live music on the weekends.
