All I want is an iced coffee. No flavor shots, no fancy requests. Just cold coffee poured over ice. Every time I go into this Starbucks, they take my order and then make me wait 6, 7, sometimes 10 minutes– because they put my order in the queue, making me wait behind all the more complicated drinks. Yet with hot coffee, these customers get their drinks right away. It’s not like this at every other Starbucks I have ever been to– a simple hot or iced coffee gets to you as you order and pay for it. If I order a scone, they would not make me wait while they write my name on a bag and then take the next person in line. I don’t get it. I don’t understand this trend of making customers wait while moving on to the next customer. What about me? You just took my money, please get me my product. That’s how it works at every other café, every other retail store. I forgot to mention, I waited almost 9 minutes for my medium black iced coffee while 3 other Starbucks employees stood around doing NOTHING.(2 additional ones were working– the one talking people’s money, and the one making the fancy drinks.) Why couldn’t one of the 3 others hopped on the production line?

I’m tired of the slow service before 7:30 on the weekend. Today for example, there were only two customers in front of me. They only ordered a couple of things and I waited about 10 min before I could place my order. I received my latte and clover beverage in about 4 min.

I’ve been a customer at the Starbucks for years by virtue of living four blocks away. Neither service nor product have ever been consistently good. Occasionally the experience is unacceptable. Lines are long and slow. I have found myself coming back less and less often and finally this morning after spending over three dollars for a decaf«Venti» Americano«with room» that tasted watered down and was 2⁄3 filled(four shots, huh?) I decided this would be my last visit. Maybe also because when I politely commented on the flavor given the number of shots the«barista» looked down and went about her business. I have been transformed to a vocal detractor of this store. Needham Heights is a cool area and even though it’s small, I think there’s room for a Petes!

They have great product, but the service was a little bit slow. I will go there again only because I have a gift card. I suggest they have 2 baristas on at a time.

I didn’t experience any customer service issues as others reported but it’s not a good starbucks to work at. There are only 4 small tables, 2 lazy boys and a laptop counter that is not deep enough to get your laptop on comfortably. You will look like an excited chipmunk typing away at the high counter. You could easily tip your laptop off the back of the counter and have it go smashing down to the floor as well. Also the windows weren’t very well insulated and it’s kind of cold on your legs. I had to move to one of the few tables and felt bad taking up space. Lots of parking in the back lot. Nothing wrong with the typical Starbucks products if you’re just stopping in to grab a coffee but they were backed up and only had 1 cashier available(typical at any Starbucks). The staff seemed nice enough to me, but according to others, apparently not.

Absolute worst customer service ever. Last 2 trips there were comedic. It seems like they are doing you a favor serving you. 2nd to last trip, no drip available, after waiting as next person in line for 5– 10 minutes while server tried unsuccesdfully to grind a pound of coffee on 2 separate machines. Meanwhile the«Barrister» is standing there not looking at any one in line and re-stocking things and trying to look busy. Last trip, 4 people in line; server has back to customers focusing on something behind him for what seemed like an eternity; then after about 5 minutes turns around and says«Can I help?» you to the person at the head of the line. Meanwhile the«Barrister» is looking around, not making any drinks, and decides to pick up a spray bottle to wipe dwon her counter. Never again!

Very slow service: one cashier with about 10 people in line…2 girls and 1 guy making drinks and still couldn’t keep up. Also, double check your drink before you leave, mine’s been wrong twice. If you’re grabbing a quick bite as well, forget about it — you’ll be in there for a half hour at least. Head further up on Needham St and grab Starbucks near the Soup Factory instead.

I ordered a black iced coffee without sweetener. Seems pretty easy, right? Wrong. They sweetened it and I didn’t realize it until I got back to my office. It was undrinkable. I had to dump it out. What a waste of time, money, and gas.

This is an amazing Starbucks! The staff is very friendly, the shop is always clean, and they have a Clover machine. What more can you want? If you are looking for a quiet place to read or study however, be sure to be there during off-perk(or peak) hours. :) This is simply because they are so popular and the shop can be fairly noisy/crowded.

Although it’s always busy the staff do a very good job at getting you in and out in under 5 minutes. Clean, organized, cozy. Could it be bigger with more seats? Sure, but it is what it is. Nice benches out front — good spot to people watch with your coffee.

The worst Starbucks in the area this place is by far. You should drive a little more down the street to Needham Street in Newton instead. Needham Starbucks is so slow it may take you at least 15 – 20 minutes to get a iced green tea. No kidding! It is busy like the other Starbucks. Well they seem to always have 2 – 3 cashiers and one person making the drinks and 3 managers around doing nothing while the lines are huge. I’ve been there at least 10x and nothing changes. Now I refuse to get my drinks there. So be prepared. Or do it like me. drive another 2 minutes and go down the street where they will considerate your valuable time.

Slower service and louder patrons than Wellesley starbucks. Staff were over-friendly. No good place to moor a bike.

It’s so small in there– everyone’s on top of each other and the customers stay forever so you can’t ever get a seat. I was there for almost and hour and no one moved, plus there was a LINE just for the seating area!

I second Sarah B.‘s review. On a busy busy Sat. AM, they were prepared. Took my order fast, made my drinks fast, and all with a pleasant smile.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Starbucks, but this location, WORST location ever. I went twice because it is close to work, however that was the last time I will go there. They are the slowest Starbucks ever. There were barely any people inside and it still took 10 minutes to make a latte. I asked the girl what was taking so long and she gave me a blank stare and said… oh, it’s right here. She had set my drink down and forgot about it. I will not be returning to this location

The Needham Starbucks is quite small, but the service is very friendly, they offer a private parking lot, the crowd is upscale, and the coffee drinks are always mixed well. A great location!

This isn’t the kind of Starbucks where you’d want to hang out for a few hours, but it’s super efficient, very pleasant, and has parking in the back. The staff are very friendly and smart — no space cadets as far as I’ve seen so far. It’s a sheer wonder how they get through the long morning line so quickly. The first time I went in here at 8:15am, the size of the line made me think it would be a disaster, but before I knew it I was ordering my usual(grande iced americano in a venti cup with extra ice and water), a drink that very few Starbucks employees across the country have ever gotten right. Normally, I either get a blank stare, a quad-shot americano(I’m not looking for a heart attack, but thanks), or a grande americano at the price of a venti. This has become of a pet peeve of mine, to the point where I now judge a Starbucks by how well they handle this drink. Sometimes you have to wait a little bit to get your drink after ordering here, but the staff members go as fast as they can without messing up your drink, so I give them credit. Not only are the people here extremely organized and«with it,» but they also go out of their way to give you what you ordered and be nice about it. Today, my drink somehow got lost in the shuffle for a few minutes(not even that long), and they presented me with a certificate for a free drink next time. They even said they were sorry. Normally, when my order gets lost at a Starbucks, I get an annoyed glare for daring to ask where it might have gone.

I’m not one of those people that needs to stop for a coffee every day on my drive into work. I tend to drink no more than one cup of caffeine each day and, when I do drink coffee, it’s more as a treat — the occasional latte or cappuccino when I’m bored with the coffee or tea at work. I’m also a Dunkin Donuts fan, so it takes my coworker coercing me or a free-coffee promotion to get me into Starbucks. This morning was one of those occasions. Starbucks had its first ever«Coffee Break,» and they handed out free tall coffees from 10 – 12. I must say, Starbucks is great with its promotions and I love their creative coffee and tea drinks. This particular Starbucks is really the only one I visit anymore, seeing as it’s close to my office. The people who work there are nice for the most part, but the shop isn’t my favorite. I like Starbucks with LOTS of little nooks to park yourself in. This one is limited in the table space department and the seating it does offer is too close to the order line, so don’t plan on doing a lot of reading. In any case, it’s quick and convenient and gets the job done — especially when they offer free coffee!
