1 Gold Always Available Locksmith

Stay far away from this locksmith! I’m a new homeowner and got locked out of an auto locking door to my second floor. I was in a hurry and had people coming over that needed to get in upstairs, so instead of trying to remedy the problem myself I called 1 Gold. They woman on the phone indicated that the service call would be $ 35 and on site services would start at $ 30. I figured the locksmith could pick the lock quickly and charge me $ 100-​$ 200. This is where things went horribly wrong. The guy showed up, didn’t speak very good english and told me he had to drill the lock without really even looking at it first. He proceeds to destroy my lock with his power drill which takes about 5 minutes. Then when he has destroyed the lock and opened the door he tells me this will be $ 335!!! When I questioned the price with him he got agressive and said «What’s the problem, I opened the door for you, right?» So then he tells me that to replace the lock it will be $ 165. I told him forget about it, went to Home Depot and bought the lock for $ 15 and replaced it myself in about 15 minutes. 1 Gold is a huge rip off, steer clear!
