I ordered the turkey Reuben from this place and was happy with that choice. The portobello sandwich was also good. The setting is really nice with great views. it’s out of town a bit so it’s quieter.

Food is nice, good mountain view, can dine outside. The waitress though is rude and aggressive. Overall vibe is pretty now. Now I understand why they have a sign at the entrance: «be nice or leave».

Amazing views of Eldora and mountains mountains mountains! Down home feel. No non-sense atmosphere. Made from scratch yumminess. Would come every weekend if it wasn’t such a hint from home.

We came up from Boulder and had breakfast at the Sundance on Mother’s Day. This restaurant was absolutely slammed with parties ranging from couples to a party of 30. Total chaos! I watched the bartender making 10 or 15 Bloody Marys at a time! This was the part I loved– the waitstaff was having a good time. They worked symbiotically and kindly together. Those girls work so hard– they were smiling, laughing, polite and timely despite the craziness in that tiny building. Having worked in food service, I’m so impressed. The food was correctly cooked, piping hot and took a very reasonable amount of time to receive considering the volume of meals being served. Good job, Sundance! We’ll see you again this summer.

I had a horrible lunch here. The burger patties were still cold in the middle, and were from frozen meat. The buns were horrible, the worst you could get at a grocery store. My girlfriend burger was bad enough they took it off the bill. For the potato chips, we saw them flip half a little bag of Lays on the plate. The service was slow, neglectful, and really bad. The décor was depressing decades ago when it was put in, let alone now. About the only thing this place has going for it is the view.

The French Toast is good(french baguette,) and the artichoke dip at night has good flavor as well. The deck provides great views when the weather permits. One of my favorites is the Cobb salad.

We had visited the Sundance in May for a late breakfast and had a good experience. It was a fun place to take family that was visiting from out of state. Fast forward to September and we decided to stop at Sundance for dinner on the way to Estes. The experience was the worst ever! We walk in… one of the guys that was busing tables offered us a seat inside or outside. We chose inside. We sat for a LONG time before even having menus & water brought to us. and this was by some random woman who said our server would be right with us. Well, it was another LONG wait before the server came by. She walked by us numerous times but never even acknowledged our presence. It felt like we were invisible! Seriously! I felt like walking out, but we knew our dinner options were slim in this area. When she finally came by to take our order she had NO personality and was very indifferent. The burgers were really good. The«fries» were chunks of potato… and were cold… not even warm. We finished eating and when the server brought the bill she had turned up the warmth just a tad… of course when it’s time to tip. We heard the waitress telling the table next to us how busy they were — and it seemed like the wait staff all felt that the customers were a burden. Sure there were a lot of people out for the weekend — but they don’t have that many tables and they were not that busy! There is an obvious problem with efficiency. The servers kept disappearing into the back room… and then when they’d come out they’d look all busy. Even if you are busy, you can still treat customers like they matter… you are in the customer service business after all. The view at the Sundance is the only thing it has going for it! There are plenty of great reviews online, but after the experience we had — we won’t eat there again. We’ll spend our money at a restaurant that wants us there.

I don’t really do 3 stars, but this place was 3 stars. I had huevos rancheros. Seemed like a lot of happy locals there. Looked like it might be a fun place to go for happy hour

Great location, the service was okay, my Buffalo burger was delicious props to the chef since most places screw up Medium Rare. All in all, a decent place.

We stopped at the Sundance Café after hiking to Lost Lake. I’m gluten free and I tried the Chicken Marsala(sauce was GF). Our server was accommodating and very nice. My salad came with GF garlic bread. The bread was a pleasant surprise and it was great. My husband got the nachos. All of the food was good. This is a charming place with indoor and outdoor seating. We will stop again when we are in the area.

Big mountain brekkie served here. Lots of good choices of egg dishes. I had the huevos rancheros and a single pancake. The meals here are big enough that it’s hard to finish a whole plate. Friendly servers in a mountain diner setting. Indoor and outdoor seating.

This weekend we hiked. We entered realms not known to us(but apparently well known to others). We ate dehydrated meals for 3 days. Mid-way someone mentioned breakfast, and it was mentally downhill from there. It became apparent that the common theme we held was breakfast at Sundance post hike. There was talk of crispy bacon, AM margaritas, breakfast burritos, omelets, green chili, and coffee. On Sun AM we woke early, donned our packs and set a course for the café. As we crested the hill heading into the café our hopes were temporarily dashed as the lot was overflowing. However, after sneaking into a parking spot and chatting with the hostess, we found a table immediately. While amazingly crowded, this place was a model of efficiency. Our food(see exact order above add one porcini mushroom grape tomato scramble), came out fast, hot, and delicious. The food is a basic breakfast fare offering, however, you’re hard pressed to find a better one in the area.

This is my go-to spot before or after hitting the hills in Nederland. I’ve been here several times now either before or after mountain biking/hiking…and all I can say is, «Yes, Please!» The Ned omelet is delicious, but the breakfast burrito that’s the size of my face, has stolen my heart! I’ve also had the Turkey Rueben… I just don’t think you can go wrong with any choice here! It has been packed every time I have come in, but the staff are friendly and move quickly! You’ll also usually find some hilarious locals to chat with and the views alone are worth the stop.

I had the steak and eggs breakfast. It was fantastic. Usually you order this at other places and the steak is paper thin and tuff not this one the steak was perfect. Great views and friendly wait staff.

Love this place! The restaurant is an adorable cabin situated in the Rockies with lovely year-round mountain views. Depending on the weather, you can sit out on the patio or inside by the fire. The staff are friendly and the food is delish! Perfect destination breakfast/brunch.

I got the robbie burger with roasted red pepper last weekend from Sundance. The beef patty was very tasty and juicy! The view from inside the café was quite good too.

On a Saturday afternoon, I can’t think of a more perfect place to stop into. If it’s nice out you could sit on the patio; if it’s cold, you could sit by the fireplace. The views are amazing. The service is outstanding. The food is great! What else could you ask for? I love that they have breakfast until 2:30! This is how it should be everywhere! We had the Ned, which was made well and had a nice kick to it with great flavor. We also tried the turkey reuben because many people on here wrote about it. I liked it although normally it wouldn’t be my top choice. Also, they had Hungarian Mushroom soup, which in itself was worth the stop here! And did I mention homemade jam for the toast? How many other ways could you say ‘perfect’?

Wife and I were driving from black hack to Nederland and we decided to stop for a late lunch when we realized how bad traffic was. The margarita and the turkey Steuben were from out of this world. The burger was correct, hard to tell if it frozen patty or actually home made. The scenery is absolutely pretty. We will be back

Great prices, service, food & views. Good for kids, groups, or just bring yourself! I liked the Sundance Bagel, and my daughter enjoyed a fruit plate.

So. This place is awesome! Literally everything about it is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. View — amazing. Food — fantastic. Service — great. Even the drive from Boulder to this place was so pretty(especially because the leaves have started to change)! I already told myself I am coming back when it’s full blown fall. I got the turkey reuben because I have this obsession with them. I’d never had a turkey one before but it defied anything I’ve ever known about turkey reubens. Try your hardest to sit outside because the temperature is perfect and you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere and it’s a really nice feeling. Just promise me that before you die. you will go here!
