After running errands through the mall my husband and I got hungry and decided to eat there. I wanted to try something different and saw this place that I had never been to. The guy wasn’t rude but he didn’t seem happy either. It was like he was just there. Oh well didn’t bug me since he wasn’t rude. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and added the combo meal. I am so glad I could order it without the onion or mushroom since I am allergic. I thought the food was good. My cheese steak was delicious. It wasn’t anything like crazy spectacular but it satisfied my taste buds and hunger. I really did love the fries though. I got the combo that adds cheese and bacon to the fries and I really enjoyed that.

Best cheese steaks I’ve ever had! The fries are also the bomb! I could eat this everyday!

This place is great for a chicken cheesesteak! Very flavorful and cooked very well. We added lettuce, tomato, mayo, and pickles to make the perfect chicken cheese! The staff however, could care less. I get that’s it’s fast food but the moral sucks! There was not one think in particular that makes me say that but simply our experience from ordering to receiving. Careful if you ask for mayo on the side… apparently that’s a no no.

My favorite place to get a Philly sub. I love that when you’re waiting in line they offer you free samples, and they offer frequent buyers a stamp card. Only wish they had coupons! Great food! I recommend the buffalo chicken or the chicken philly

I would have given Charleys zero stars if possible but I guess their fries aren’t too awful. The most horrendous thing about this place is their customer service. This place has let me down with my orders twice in a row with the second one being the last straw– I am never coming back. The man who took my order was full of attitude and gave no enthusiasm to be working or serving whatsoever. He overcharged me and didn’t say a word until he noticed I was checking my receipt. Rather than apologizing or quickly fixing his mistake, he tried to loosely patch up his faults by claiming, «It’s only two dollars more.» Throughout the entire time, he was uninterested and rude. By the time I could finally leave and eat, I took a sip of the coke and it tasted like water. Horrible. I do not recommend ATALL.

The best chicken teriyaki and fries ever! The male staff just needs to smile more and be more friendly.

Just found my new Philly Steak place. Service wasn’t the best, but the food made up for it.

They have been here for some time now and i only tried them twice. For being inside a mall the food is quite tasty. They do sample often so dont forget to try before you buy. Check for specials and cheese up those fries.

The subs are delicious! The bread baked fresh and lightly toasted. Perfect ratio of meat, cheese and vegetables. Don’t care too mich about their customer service since its a food court at a mall but they keep the su s hot and fresh and that’s all that matters. It was a bit pricey tho so minus a star.

Good food for a mall but terrible customer service but that’s basically the entire mall. I order a peach lemonade and I said it twice and I still got a regular a lemonade. The workers acted like I did something to them just out of their way to be an asshole. I’ll take my money elsewhere.

Went there with a friend recently and ordered chicken philly sub. I have never had such a outstanding Philly sub before. As I was hungry so I ordered another one. Staff at the counter was friendly and order was fulfilled in a very speedy manner.

I love this place! Their Philly cheesesteaks are so good. I order meat well done & without the veggies. Lol I’m picky. Fries are good only if they’re well done like I always ask. Asked for a couple sides of ranch for my fries & a male employee told me he could only give me one & any after he’s gonna have to charge me. Okay… lol so I just grabbed extra ketchup. Haha

I tried it once and said it could be better next time. I added extra mayo, jalapeños even threw on some ranch but still comes out dry. This meat is like the meat from gyros, although I have tasted some pretty good gyros before. It’s no wonder why they have a for hire sign out, damn kids can’t cook. The chef looks like some bum from the street and everyone else looks like they got hired solely based on close they are to the manager. Cheap labor at its best and the best is food for those who don’t know better.

WHERE’S THEMEAT? We came here only because I was waiting for some embroidery to get done on a ballcap I purchased and since it was lunch time and there were so many food court places to try out, we decided to give CHARLEY’S a try. I ordered the Philly Chicken Cheese Steak sandwich and was highly disappointed. There was hardly any meat in this sandwich… mostly grilled veggies and cheese over loaded with shredded lettuce and half a slice of tomato. Sorry, but this is pretty LAME. I’ve had subs at other establishments(and I’m not talking about SUBWAY) that cost about the same, that have a lot more meat in their sandwiches than the Semi-Veggie(Yes…I called it that) Chicken Philly Cheese Steak sandwich I was serve. Nice try…1 Star

Great food but Poor service only because they are kids and act like they are working at a cafeteria. Very unprofessional… Get past all that and it’s pretty good.

I go to Plaza Bonita Mall every once in a while since its the biggest shopping mall(sorta). After parking and walking around for a couple of hours, and of course shopping around, I was so hungry. I decided to go to their food court to see what they have, since I pass it on the way out the mall. I ordered Chicken Teriyaki, and I felt like I was eating PLASTIC! I was so upset at them! Before I placed my order, they had this girl who was handing out free chicken teryaki, sample bits, as you might call. So I tried it and since the sample was good I placed an order. After going around the corner, the girl asked me what I wanted on the sub(lettuce, tomato, jalapeño, pepper, onion, and more) and I said everything please. She was in such a rush I think she put 2 pieces of small lettuce, no tomatoes, and no jalapeño at all, and rolled it over, bagged it and gave it to me. I WASSODISSAPOINTED!!! NEVER buying anything from them again. Such a rip off too. Their regular size is about half of your palm.

For food served at any ol’ mall, it’s okay. I was not satisfied with those fries. They’re too .dry. And that«teriyaki» chicken was NOT teriyaki at all. Filling, though!

I refuse to buy food at malls, unless, I am starving and can’t bare to walk another foot. The only reason why I decided to try Charley’s Grilles Subs was because my friend who I was with, brother works there and he was going to give us a discount. I am a sucker for Philly Cheesesteak subs and I figured, hey… why not… never had this food, discount and I can write a review when I get home. The actual sub was OK, straight up. The bread didn’t have any taste and it wasn’t crispy. The meat was weird looking and it resembles the same meat as the one from«The New York Deli Style» from Costco. Actually, Costco Philly subs are way better in every aspect. They did ad lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, bell peppers and mushrooms but it wasn’t that good. I wouldn’t go there again. Sorry Charley!

OKAY. I mos def. knew I was gonna Unilocal when I got home. This place is a NO-GO-FO-SHO-YO ! I shouldve went next door and got me a «HAWTDAWG.» cuz you know hot dogs always fill me up. «know what im sayiiiiinnn, know im sayin, know what im sayiin.» hah k joke over. so i walk up undecided about what to eat after circling the food court about 3 times. i mustve yawned every milli-second since the food court is so ehh now. for a regular sized sub i thiiiiink it was 5.99 and for a large was 7.99. oh well whatever. I chose the buffalo chicken, I mean you cant go wrong. So when I get my food I was thinking my buns were gonna be grilled or atleast warm, hence the name«charley’s grilled subs,» but sadly they were not. There was nothing special about it, it did not what so ever meet my expectations. I was hoping for major mouthGASm since I love chicken n buffalo sauce. BUTNO none of that happened either. Damn you Charley, I could barely even taste the buffalo sauce!!! Their special upgrade to «GOURMET fries» was nothing close to even gourmet. They gave me enough cheese for like 5 fries. And to make things worse when i kindly asked and explained why I wanted more cheese, the lady gave me a snotty look. Like seriously can you be that shady for another pump of cheese, its not like it comes out of your paycheck! Even after the extra pump I just threw them away along with my buns and ate the chicken n lettuce with a fork. So disappointed I thought this place was gonna fill the place in my stomach where Great Steak used to be. But sadly Great Steak closed down along with my other fave food place Genghis Khan, over here at plaza bonita. tears* The new food court may look fancier and nicer than the ghetto monster they had in the middle of the mall but these new food places are a waste of space. I will not be eating here ever again. If anybody has access to the military base, hit up Dominic’s at Balboa Hospital! Best place for subs without a doubt!
