For some reason a young girl working here decided to be accusatory instead of trying to figure out what the store messed up. Yes, blame the customer three different ways before realizing that your store is causing the problem. Some people just aren’t ready people facing jobs.

Im always searching for this and that cooking related. Im obsessed with food… reading about food, cooking food, searching food… Not too high, not too low — SLT really has a great selection ranging from mid to almost high cooking gear. So much fun! Looking forward to a class or two… After all, this old dog can definitely learn some new tricks!

The store is a little overwhelming when you walk through the door. There is stuff everywhere and it is very crowded. I wouldn’t have purchased anything except that I liked a couple of items used in the class. I couldn’t find the items on my own so I had to get staff members to help me find them. I say«members» because it took three of them to find the item I was looking for. It is so crowded that their own staff can’t find things. Also, they demonstrated tools in the class that the store no longer carries. We enjoyed the cooking class. The technique was nice to learn, but the cakes themselves were not that tasty. I will try the techniques with better recipes at home. The chefs were very knowledgable and helpful during class. They offered a lot of cooking advice along the way. It was fun to do once. I like that there is a separate class area and that we get to make it ourselves unlike classes I have done at Williams Sonoma where it is in the middle of the store and we just watch.

I love these types of stores. Sur La Table has cool gadgets, high quality tools, and the staff is really friendly and open to answering questions. I like the fact that this store has different merchandise from Williams-Sonoma and the atmosphere is more down to earth. That being said, I do find that this store is hard to navigate and the shelves are disorganized. If I were in a rush and trying to find a particular product, it would be quite difficult if I didn’t ask for help.

I’ll be honest with you. The stuff here is probably high quality and expensive, but the layout of this store makes it seem like an expensive dollar store. The walls are loaded with small little things, all kinda of packed together. Same thing with all the shelves they have in the store. They didn’t do a good job of highlighting the kitchen tools, which is what you wanna do so that I as a customer can see why I am spending all that money. It’s a very big messy store. The staff was helpful, but I wouldn’t wanna shop in there. Just go down stairs to Williams-Sonoma.

Ok, I have to start with the fact that kitchen stuff is my weak point — I can browse a store like this for different knick knacks for months(most of this knick knacks are unnecessary for my day-to-day cooking though)! That being said, I do believe that certain items in this store are overpriced — thank God for the phone’s Barcode reader and search function :) But other than that, the selection, the beauty of all the items is unbelievable. It’s my new guilty pleasure/window shopping store — and then i go buy small pâté knives, and coffee spoons, etc. You get the point — check it out!

Great store. Lots of high-end merchandise at reasonable prices. What sets this store apart from every other kitchen store is the In-Store Cooking Classes. I can’t wait to give them a try.

Navigating thru this store isn’t the best, there’s stuff everywhere and the shelves are too close together. A woman in a wheelchair was barely able to get down the aisle, they seriously need to work on their floor plan. That being said, they have a huge selection of kitchen stuff but some of its overpriced.
