Uptown Grocery

If I could give a lower rating I would. This was a horrible experience. There was some blonde chick who came outa the back yelling across the room to another dark haired girl. These people completely ignored my sister and I. We were not greeted at all, even after saying hello. There was a white haired man behind the counter who said nothing either… just stared at us like we had green skin… the only person who was very sweet was another green person behind the counter who actually fixed our food! The two persons who came in that did not have green skin, were promptly served by the two rude girls that worked there. I work for a multimillion dollar healthcare cooperation in Los Angeles, and I always pride myself on my southern upbringing… but this is a complete and total embarrassment. Come on guys. This is 2014… and the world is so much bigger than my hometown. But you, Uptown Grocery, are on your way to making national news if you don’t serve ALL customers with dignity and respect. And btw, the food wasn’t that good anyway.

Gross. No choices, old pizza, and a lunch for four cost $ 42, and we all felt badly afterward. Go to Fat Mama’s.

Excellent chicken salad and potato soup. Their homemade bread just tops off an excellent sandwich.

This is based purely on the chicken salad, the only thing I’ve had from here. Delish!
