Showed up for my 2pm appt that I received 3 reminders about and waited for about 10 minutes after my appt time. I finally went up to the rinky dinky reception desk and was told that it was the esthetician’s first day and she wasn’t there yet. I was also told that she wasn’t answering her phone. I decided to walk out and will be getting a facial elsewhere. This place was a little scary upon first sight and I almost turned around as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. Thought I’d give it a try but that was obviously a mistake. Update: please check out the photo I posted of the communication I recently had with the business owner, Angel.

The hair stylist Angel Nim is top notch and very precision oriented in doing hair color and really is an expert in hair styles. I highly recommend Angel at this salon and one of the best in Nashville!

I’d purchased a groupon for a mani/pedi at this place and found it incredibly difficult to initially get in touch with this salon. For a long time, even before I had visited the place, I had this place mentally marked as a 0 star or 1 star place for this reason. They were apparently without a nail technician for sometime and said they would get back, but did not. Eventually, I had Groupon intervene on my behalf and then I got an appointment after my groupon expiry date. But, my feelings about this place changed drastically once I went for the appointment. It’s actually a really nice, clean and spacious salon with nice, friendly, and efficient people working there. They left no room for complaints during the visit, well almost. I’m used to a hand and foot massage with my mani/pedi and I missed it, but other than that, everything was great. Angel took a lot of time and great care to do my manicure and pedicure, and most importantly, I got that relaxed vibe which you expect from a good salon. I’m willing to forget my initial frustrating experience with contacting this business and I’d love to come back here for other services.

This could have been an awesome spa with an upbeat vibe, cool loft style spread on the top floor with big windows that over look the city and an array of spa & salon services. But it’s not. At. All. As a business owner and entrepreneur, I began taking notes the second I walked in. It was awkward and off putting from the get go– a few moments passed before anyone greeted me… even though I was standing at the front desk and there were 3 women working/puttering around with ZERO customers in the place. One woman in particular made me feel very unwelcome. She was sitting in the back filing her nails and looking me up & down. She saw me standing at the front desk but said absolutely nothing to me. Not a good vibe. I later found out this woman ISTHEOWNER. Yeeeeeesh. Finally, a peppy brunette girl said«Hi, How can I help you?» I told her I had an appointment for a mani/pedi and she led me over to the nail table where the rude woman was sitting. I was confused… was this woman doing my nails? I even said out loud, «should I sit here… or???» The brunette girl said nothing, and I continued to stand by the nail station looking very confused. The owner finally spoke to say, «oh, I’m doing my own nails here.» I still did not know where to sit. Wtf? I’ve never had this issue at a salon– what’s the big deal? Finally a third woman came out and put me in a different chair to start my pedicure. Still not so much as a «hi» came out of the owners mouth. Did she not like me for some reason? I can’t fathom how someone could be so rude. Why on earth would she choose a field in customer service? Honestly, the whole experience was pretty much ruined for me at that point. I definitely considered leaving and would have if I didn’t desperately need a pedi after Bonnaroo. So, here’s my unsolicited advice: Smile. Maybe even say, «Hi! Thanks for coming.» Open your windows and let some light in– your spa feels like a cave. Organize your space– things are a mess. Were there random dining tables on one side of the room– I don’t know. And, dear god, if you have a 1 o’clock appt. for someone to get their nails done maybe not sit at the only nail station doing your own nails when she arrives. Lastly, the girl who did my nails was sweet and did an ok job, but it wasn’t enough to outweigh the negatives or make me come back.

i had a mani/pedi here today(my friend bought me a groupon as a gift), and it was pretty much the worst manicure i’ve ever had. first, i called multiple times to try to schedule an appointment, and no one ever answered the phone. i decided to just drop by, since they take walk ins, but they said they couldn’t accommodate me, so i made an appt for the next day. i arrived on time, but had to wait 30 minutes to be seen(w/no apologies for the inconvenience). the manicure was literally just getting my nails filed and the paint applied. no cuticle oil or lotion or hand massage or anything. i feel like i could have done a better job by myself at home. =(

I was a little hesitant about this place given the location and other reviews I’ve seen. I bought a groupon for 3 facials. I was so surprised at how amazing they were! Stephanie is awesome! She asks about what problems you have with your skin and works through solutions. She always tells you what she’s going to do before she does it and makes sure you don’t have any questions or concerns. I’ve been to several of the high end spas in Nashville and Stephanie’s facials definitely compete with them. This is my new favorite facial spot. I haven’t had any of their other services so I can’t vouch for them.

I visited to redeem a Groupon for a 90 minute deep tissue massage. Like many, I have had numerous massages. Jamie was amazing and a borderline physical therapist. I am eager to make this more than an every six month occurrence.

Going for my 4th cut tomorrow. I have had two stylists there and both were awesome. They seem to understand male hair.

I got a deal on a haircut & color here through a living social deal, but the stylist gave me a great tip on coming in for a dry haircut. That is the way to go for quality and affordability, which is something we can all use these days.

I bought a living social deal for main/pedi a few months ago and decided to redeem this nice little certificate. Brittany, who is the wonderful nail tech that did my nails did an amazing job! I think this has to be one of the best mani’s/pedi’s I’ve ever received! I also paid extra to have her use the gel/shellac polish for my manicure so it stays a little longer! I think I could become addicted! Can’t wait to go back!
