Got the recommendation to come to this shop from a local who avoids the overpriced and overcrowded downtown shops. That was a great recommendation that saved me hundreds and tons of time. The whole buying experience wasn’t pushy at all and I ended up buying a great pair of boots for myself and girlfriend. I’m forgetting his name now, but the gentleman who helped me was so nice and friendly that I found myself accidentally staying and talking for over an hour. Seriously, just a wonderfully kind man and great welcoming shop.

I first visited Trail West in 2007 – 2008 with my dad. He bought me a beautiful pair of boots that I still wear to this day, and always get compliments on them. I have been back to Nashville several times since then, and always stay in the Opryland area. I went in to Trail West this weekend and showed them the boots my dad bought for me. Ken and his co-workers were super nice and friendly. I ended up buying another pair of boots(I figure after 8 years, I’m due for a second pair) and Ken gave me an excellent deal. Although there are boot stores downtown that have«buy1 pair, get 2 free» I would go to Trail West again anytime I visit Nashville and am looking for boots or Western wear because of their friendly hospitality and great prices. I prefer to support the merchants in the Music Valley area. While downtown Nashville is where all the«action» is, Opryland/Music Valley is more my speed.

NEVER, EVERGOTOTHISHORRIBLESTOREUNLESSYOUWANTJOE, THEMANAGERTOINSULTYOUANDTREATYOUWITHCOMPLETEDISRESPECT! My family and I spent more than $ 650 on boots, hats and shirts. When we had a problem with one of the boots we had purchased, we returned to the store to talk to the manager. He insulted me so much that I wanted to return my entire purchase but they have a no return policy. He asked me where I was from and when I replied, «Chicago», he very rudely replied, «no comment». I asked him who his boss was at which point he got in my face and shouted, «I am the the boss, got it»?! When I return to Nashville, I will stay clear of this abusive store and buy my boots from BOOTCOUNTRY where customers are valued and treated with respect. BOOTCOUNTRY also has buy 1 get 2 pairs of boots free which is much less expensive than Trail West!!!

This store is in a tucked away plaza, in the opry land area … Not as brightly lit, and swanky & glitzy as the downtown broadway shop… rustic . But the extremely friendly service… lots of chatter & humor… That kind of customer service goes a long way. :-) I’m a new englander, so I know squat about western wear… So in Nashville, I needed a hat to wear… These gentlemen explained in great detail as to different types, styles of hats… I wound up with IMO a very nice black Stetson wool hat, that fit perfectly And as the guys said ‘fits’ my physique and manner… I walked away more than happy… This is a very nice place, Even at the downtown store they treated the family nicely and ‘hooked us up’ I recommend

In town for a trade show at the convention center, I’ve been staying in the Opryland area. I arrived in Nashville with a new reversible belt i had bought at a Los Angeles department store. It was apparently really poorly made as the buckle had broken within 3 days of use. «Damn it!, The show is tomorrow, I need a belt!» Fortunately, this is Nashville, I’m certain I can find a boot store or something and get a belt there… …and there she was, Trail West. A local chain, Trail West offers a broad selection of boots, belts, hats and other western wear. Lots of Jack Daniel’s licensed goods, and items with confederate flags everywhere, if that’s you’re lifestyle… Very service oriented, Trail West will even shape your cowboy hat for as little as $ 5. What a bargain! It seemed like everything was on sale… for example, all belts were 30% off, all hats, 25% off, etc… Woohoo!
