OMG!!! So delicious. If I lived in Nashville, I would so stalk this food truck.

Possibly best food truck in Nashvegas! Give this place a brick and mortar space. Really the best! Spending the equivalent on a food truck as compared to a sit down is something that I can’t get past. This place brings it AND is cheaper than a full-service establishment. Let’s discuss the add-ons. Instead of spending half the price of an entrée, they are really cheap! So you get to customize your amazing sandwich again, quite affordable, like crazy affordable with most add-ons for a dollar or two. I am not a master sandwich maker so the prepared versions are my first go to order. B&B Tennessee made of Buttermilk cheddar, bacon, and peach jam. Interesting but it works. I am not a fan of Pimento Cheese, but others LOVE it. Also the Buffalo South… omgosh, chicken with buffalo sauce with pickled celery, weird I know, blue cheese aioli on sourdough. I had to ask about that. It is amazing. I love that you can add bacon for 1 dollar, grilled onions are 50 cents and avocado is 1 dollar. Can you beat that anywhere? NO! Sandwiches start at 5 dollars and you add the extras. Tomato soup is 2.50. Really good on a cold day. They pull up on West End often on the weekends and you find them on the usual places on the web. They have been on the Food Network. Have to add, if you get on Guy’s Diners Dives and Drives, it is not an easy gig. The establishment has to be recommended by a number of people, then the show comes to interview them and then they discuss when and if they are going to come and tape. This can be up to 1 whole year or a little more. This place really rocks and the price point is amazing for the quality you receive for a wonderful sandwich.

Fall weather + grilled cheese = perfection. I was in the mood for something extra carb-y that day, and the pimento mac and cheese sandwich definitely satisfied that craving. The sandwich itself is fairly simple: just pimento mac and cheese in between two slices of buttered toast. So easy, yet so delicious. My husband ordered the special of the day, the name of which escapes me, but it was meaty and cheese and also very delicious. We happened to stop by the truck on their 5th anniversary, so they were giving away a free dessert with every special sandwich. We opted for both the hot chocolate and the sweet potato brulee. Both were very rich in flavor but very modest portions(but free, so can’t complain!). The sweet potato brulee tasted like a mixture of crème brûlée and sweet potato pie. Yummy!

Oh my yum. Gourmet grilled cheese heaven. Create your own, or try one of their specialties, or both. I loved the food, the homemade pickles, and the happy workers were refreshing. The food and service speak for themselves, go enjoy… now.

Fricken’ LOVE this food truck. How could you go wrong with variations of grilled cheese?! Answer: you can’t. I used to order from The Grilled Cheeserie whenever it would come by my workplace. I love the fact that you can customize your grilled cheese and make it to your liking — the tomato soup is also really good as well. When it comes to the specialty melts, the Pimento Mac&Cheese is my favorite. If you see this food truck around town, go to it and order. Immediately. You won’t regret it.

This place was awesome!!! Loved the pimento Mac and cheese sandwich! The textures, flavors, the bacon and mac, the crispness of the toast… Everything was awesome! Just melted in my mouth. I savory each and every bite! The cheesy buffalo tots were also amazing. Who would have thought about buffalo sauce and blue cheese on tots? So awesome! Definitely looking for this place again!

My girlfriend had been urging me for months to try The Grilled Cheeserie and I finally obliged when the food truck was at the park down the street from my house. I will say although it’s «just a grilled cheese» it’s pretty damn good grilled cheese! I had the Pimento Mac N Cheese and it was absolutely delicious. The bacon, Mac N Cheese and tomato slices all complimented each other and just melted in your mouth when you took the first bite! I also got the cantaloupe juice they were offering that day and it was really good especially if you like cantaloupes. If you are out with your friends or family and this Food Truck is in your area you have to grab some food!

This is one my favorites in Nashville. I thought I was just in for a grilled cheese, maybe with extra cheese, but I ended up getting the buffalo chicken one — and I instantly wanted more afterwards(which, for the price, was the only disappointing thing about this truck).

I cannot believe that I have been in Nashville for so long and have just tried The Grilled Cheeserie on Saturday. After hearing so much about it, I decided to give it a try. I went to the Nashville Farmers market while it was there and waited in line for about 20 minutes. Then you wait a little longer for your food, not too bad of a wait though considering all the people. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the Pimento Mac(a delicious grilled cheese with pimento cheese macaroni and cheese, Benton’s bacon bits, and tomato) with a coke. It came to around 10 dollars. The mac and cheese was definitely the best that I have had. I love pimento cheese, so I was sold on this one. It was delicious. I think I may try the Buffalo chicken next time, it sounded really good too! This definitely will not be my last trip to the Grilled Cheeserie.

This food truck had the longest line out of all the others parked in the park that day. I think they are having a food truck event every weekend until fall. From this truck, I ordered the«Lady and the ramp» grilled cheese sandwich, vanilla pudding and strawberry mint limeade. Lady and the Ramp — buttercup cheese, ramp and sunflower seed pesto, roasted artichokes and leeks and ramp tops, pickled red onion and ramp, rosemary garlic ramp. «Ramp is an amazingly wild leek». This was the first exotic grilled cheese sandwich I’ve had and it was a great choice! I love pesto on bread so that was a plus. There weren’t any pieces that lacked cheese and the amount of cheese in it was good; you could never overdose on cheese. The bread was still crispy and I can’t really describe how ramp with cheese is because it wasn’t strong. I was distracted by the cheese strings as I bit and pulled the sandwich away — googy goodness! BTW Vegans, they have vegan cheese!

Sorry, Grilled Cheeserie. After all the hype, I really wanted to like you, but sadly your food greatly let me down. Last week, I had the Pimento Mac & Cheese Sandwich with the Roasted Red Pepper + Tomato Soup. It was a rainy cold day, so I was really looking forward to this comforting combo. The flavor of the soup was quite yummy, but a bit oily. I am guessing that was mainly from the basil finishing oil? The sandwich, however, was almost inedible. The mayonnaise from the house-made pimento cheese basically was the only thing I could taste. Globs of mayo filled my mouth. It was disgusting. I am not sure if the cheese broke or if their recipe is off, but it was quite repulsive. I couldn’t taste the bacon or the cheddar. There was no balance of flavors, and it missed the mark on texture too. I may venture back to try a different sandwich, sans the mayo, but it’s doubtful.

To quote a fellow Unilocaler before me, I would also follow the Grilled Cheeserie to the ends of the earth if it meant having one of their sandwiches as my last meal. Believe the hype. It’s real. Clear out your schedule and find this truck. You’ll thank me later.

Excellent. Fantastic melt, great bread… worth the find and the drive… not a huge fan of tater tots but these were pretty good!

The quick version: find this food truck and order a grilled cheese. You will not regret it. The slightly longer version: Really really good grilled cheese. Love the options. Maybe not the best choice for a vegetarian, though you can always customize your own. Mine could have used another minute of cooking to evenly melt the cheese inside(hence the 4 stars instead off 5), but it was still SOGOOD. Good enough to make this normally gluten-free/dairy-free girl break all of her rules. And I’d do it again in a heartbeat. The line can get long, depending on where you find it and what time of day it is. But that’s to be expected when they make each grilled cheese to order.

It’s hard for me to believe I’ve been in Nashville for two years and hadn’t tried a sandwich from The Grilled Cheeserie. Grilled cheese and tomato soup is one of my favorite combos of all time. My team from work decided to track down the truck when it was nearby us on a Friday. Since it was prime family vacation time, the line wasn’t that long at all. Score! Like my favorite local trucks do, they source from local vendors.(Don’t let the Guy Fieri tag on the truck fool you, this is a legitimately awesome truck. Sorry, not sorry Guy.) You can choose from their menu(including specials) or make your own melt. I had to go with a classic, the Pimento Mac & Chee, featuring housemade pimento, local cheddar mac, and bacon on country white bread.(I skipped the sliced tomato.) I was going to get some Kettle Chips, but when I saw the famed tater tots were only 75 cents more, I went for it. You can get some of their Tot Sauce, which is a spicy ketchup, to go with the meal. I would love to hit up the truck in cooler months to combo the sandwich with some soup. I loved the PImento Mac & Chee, but I also loved the custom ideas my coworkers chose for their sandwiches. It’s no wonder this truck is so popular, and that is has won a bunch of awards to boot!

We found The Grilled Cheeserie food truck at Green Door Gourmet’s annual Fall Fest, and I’m really glad we did! In a few short years, the Cheeserie has climbed to the top of the Nashville food truck scene. They’ve been featured on Food Network’s «Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,» and they’ve been voted best food truck three years running by both The Tennessean and Nashville Scene. With those credentials, I knew it would be delicious. We went all out and ordered the Why I Autumn Melt(their special«Melt of the Moment»), the B&B Melt, and a Cookie Melt for dessert. The Why I Autumn Melt is the perfect grilled cheese for fall: smoked gouda, Benton’s country ham, caramelized apple and fig mustard, crispy kale, and buttered leeks on pumpkin-seeded multigrain bread. Needless to say, this sammich has quite a lot going on. The pumpkin bread was crusty and grilled just right. I found a nice tartness from the apple/fig mustard, and the ham added some much-needed savory notes. The creamy gouda tied the whole thing together quite well. My wife didn’t care for the greens, which were admittedly a little bitter. All in all, I was really happy we gave this melt a try. Next up was the B&B, which is one of The Grilled Cheeserie’s normal menu items. It doesn’t have near as many ingredients as the first one we tried, but it still sounded amazing: buttermilk cheddar, Benton’s bacon, and peach jam on multigrain bread. The salty and delicious Benton’s bacon(if you haven’t had it, you definitely need to) paired nicely with the sweet peach jam. I like specialty breads, but the buttery multigrain was perfect in its simplicity. My only regret was that I had to share half of this sandwich with my wife. We were both pretty full by this point, but the Cookie Melt sounded too good not to devour: a Mexican chocolate cookie, dulce de leche, and pumpkin marshmallow. It was certainly messy to eat, but delicious nonetheless. The abundant cinnamon in the Mexican chocolate cookie had a nice bite to it, and the dulce de leche was almost like caramel. The marshmallow had only minimal pumpkin flavor to it, or perhaps it was simply masked by the other stronger flavors. Regardless, this was a great note to end on. The Grilled Cheeserie is definitely worth checking out!

After all the hype, we decided to give it a go when I saw the GC truck parked at the St. Paddy’s Day Fest in East Nashville. After over an hour wait, we ordered, we ate, we thought«welp, that was a grilled cheese sandwich.» It wasn’t bad by any means — no complaints about the taste! But, I don’t think it’s something we’ll be seeking out(much less waiting for) anytime soon.

LOVE! fresh, local ingredients. Gourmet grilled cheese at it’s finest. The pimento mac n chee is one of my faves. Perfect texture, juicy tomato, bits of Benton’s bacon and ooey gooey cheesiness on a perfectly grilled piece of fresh Silke’s bread. Tater tots are absolutely delish, can’t quite figure out what seasoning they put on it, but it’s like crack. Tot sauce, homemade garlicky mustard– even the ketchup is divine. Boylan soda and mexican coke in bottles make for a perfect lunch treat. While the line usually is super long, it is worth the wait. LOVE the grilled cheeserie!

Nothing’s better than a grilled cheese sandwich and hot tomato soup on a cold day! I had the short rib melt the other day and it was great, it had grilled onions and jalapenos, and lots of cheesy goodness! The only thing is, my bread was a little burnt, and had a bitter taste to it around the corners… The tomato soup was excellent as always! I always enjoy that everything is homemade here, even the sauces and ketchup!
