I got excited at the grand opening of The Adore Girls Pinups and booked my session right away… then thought, «oh crap, what did I just do? That’s non-refundable, I don’t enjoy my picture being taken, and I’m at my heaviest weight… damnitt.» Up to my session I was a bit of a wreck-wondering what I was going to wear and if I could pull it off. I looked around prior to my appointment for some items without really knowing what I wanted. For this reason, I arrived to my appointment early to try on clothes at Tatyana’s Boutique. This was immensely helpful because I was able to see what looked good on my body. I headed upstairs to hair and makeup where Lydia turned my hair into a 1950’s masterpiece. The time spent in hair and makeup, clothing selection, and photography never felt rushed which helped calm my nerves. Truth be told, by the time we were ready for photography I was hardly nervous at all, I was comfortable and more confident than I have been in a while. I loved the photos and surprisingly my favorites were the ones of me in a bathing suit.
