When my firstborn daughter was about 16 months old she had a smile that would melt a glacier and hair that was somewhat reminiscent of a chicken that just lost a fight. Nothing was particularly wrong with her hair, it had just started growing at different times and the patchiness of it would cause her occasionally to look like a balding middle age man. So it was decided since we just happened to be in the area due to Costco that what could it hurt to have our baby girl’s first experience be «Sports Clips». We went there and it was absolutely fine. The person who worked on her saw exactly what was going on, trimmed the hairs that were causing her to look like Bob Odenkirk on a coke bender, clipped no more than was needed, and returned her head to normalcy. Cut to nine months later and this time the hair is fine but the ends are just like velcro. They snarl, tangle, and basically it’s just time for a trim. Maggie comes in with some trepidation but there’s a fridge there with mini water that for some reason is the most fun thing in the world to open and close and she can watch the other people getting hair cuts and sees that it doesn’t hurt. Up in the chair I worried a bit about her, but the cutter had her in expert hands. A promise of a sucker if she was good seemed to work perfectly, or perhaps the mirror where she was watching. Whatever the case it was a good clip, no complaints, all worked out in the end.

Rita is excellent at the sports clips at Nashville West. In fact, the entire staff is always helpful and courteous!

Took son to this location. Have been to the one on White Bridge road. It was Sunday right after church. Waited only a few minutes and felt really comfortable. Son fights me a lot on haircuts but was very comfortable chatting with stylist. They do a massage too. It is more expensive than the rest of the chain hair places, but it is always clean and easy and son likes to talk sports. Mom’s can’t argue when the child gets a hair cut and does not complain. I am sorry to not remember my person’s name but she is there on Sundays.

Very, very bad haircut! If you like military-style or buzz cuts, this might be the place for you. Woman who helped me was very rude. I asked for a 4 on side and 7 on top and my hair looked like she had taken a razor and shaved my head. Told her to leave it textured and all she said was«looks textured to me». I don’t think that’s how you treat customers, but that’s me. Some people might like it, but I will have my 2-year old nephew cut my hair before these«specialists» cut it.

I’ve been going to Sports Clips in Smyrna for several years now, but this was my first time going to the one on Charlotte Pike. I was very happy with the results. I get a simple buzz cut, but have found that must be the most difficult cut for barbers. Typically, I have a head full of fly-aways after a cut that I have to take care of once I get home. Not so with my most recent experience with Sports Clips. There isn’t a hair on my head that wasn’t clipped into submission, and I like it… as does my wife! If you haven’t tried out this place, give it a shot. Since it was my first visit, they gave me a free MVP upgrade– which meant I payed for a cut and shampoo, but they tacked on a back and neck massage for free. SWEET! The only reason this isn’t a full five stars is because the lady who cut my hair wasn’t as personable as others I’ve had elsewhere. Granted, she gave me a better cut than elsewhere too, so maybe I should just get over it!

We live nearby and my boyfriend gets his hair cut here. The ladies here are always friendly. They have sports for the boys to watch while they get their haircut. They even offer a complimentary head massage(something I have not been getting AT&T fancy hair salons without a price!). Personally, I love that they have been able to get my boyfriend to condition his hair and even add some treatments to it from time to time– something I have not been as to do, so yay for them!

Frustrating. I’ve been coming here for a few years and used to get in and out quick. The last few times I’ve waited anywhere from 30 – 60 minutes. It’s first come, first serve so you could walk in & sit down or wait an hour. They pride themselves on a 10-minute haircut, but they’ve gotten very slow lately. You also don’t know who will cut your hair, so that can affect the outcome. If you’re dying to watch ESPN on your lunch break and have plenty of time, this may be your place. As for me, I’m done.

Sports Clips is great! I have been going for haircuts for several years, since they opened the first store in the Nashville area. For a guy, what’s not to love? 1. They have several TVs showing only ESPN or some other sports program. 2. They are quick and know how to cut men’s hair. 3. They offer the MVP haircut which includes a cut, wash, hot towel for your face and a shoulder massage for only $ 23. 95% of the time you are going to get a consistent cut from all of the friendly employees who work there. Every now and then, someone will not cut it to your instructions which is really annoying. I like my hair cut very short, and you would think that would be easy for most in this business. However, I have had the most difficult time over the years getting a consistent cut. I also like the convenience of dropping in at any of their area locations without a reservation and getting a cut within 15 — 30 minutes. Sports clips is a great concept with great service. They are almost 5 stars, more like 4.5 in my book!
