Smoothie King

I love smoothie king but everyone here is rude and not very inviting. Skip this location in your search for healthy food, trust me

Here’s my first hand experience. This place won’t stray an inch from their corporate menu.

Smoothie King is a great place for your smoothie fix. There are plenty of flavors and smoothie mixtures to choose from, however I didn’t enjoy the taste.
Coming from Chicago, I couldn’t help but compare this place to Jamba Juice, and Jamba Juice tastes much better than this place. Also, I found that Smoothie King can be slightly more expensive than Jamba Juice. The most I’ve ever spent on a smoothie at Jamba Juice was $ 5. However at Smoothie King I paid $ 7 for a smoothie.
You might say it’s a small difference, but mathematically speaking that’s a 40% price increase for the same amount in Chicago for the same sized drink.
I gave this 3 stars because it’s one of the only smoothie places in the South that’s decent to drink once in a while. Though, Jamba Juice will always hit the spot for me.

I like Smoothie King, in general, and I like this location. The Acai Adventure is one of my favorite flavors. I don’t like the fact that they pass of «turbinado» as some sort of useful additive, when all it is is just refined sugar. I mean, that is it. It’s just a big ol’ scoop of sugar. I read it on wikipedia, so it must be true, right?
Anyway, the fruit in the smoothies give you enough sugar, so if you don’t want your teeth to rot, stay away from the turbinado.
