Silver Dollar Saloon

Great bar in Nashville to listen to some great music. I noticed on the board outside the bar that a really good musician I had heard the day before elsewhere was playing that afternoon so I stopped in.
The saloon is a nice size. Plenty of tables and a very large bar. While they didn’t have a formal drink menu, they have a full bar and I am sure they could probably make anything your heart desired. I ended up ordering a couple of whiskey and ginger ale’s and they were great.
They had a large room near the restrooms that would be great for a party/​banquets and had a great view from some beautiful large windows.
I didn’t see a food menu, but a party next to me ordered several appetizers which looked fantastic.
Overall, it’s a great place with close proximity to restaurants and other bars to enjoy. I will be sure to come back next time I am in town!

The cheap drinks make it easy to holler ‘n’ swaller all night long. The bands are always fun which makes for a great crowd and vibe. You can arrive dolled up or dressed down, you’ll still be able to get in and have a good time. There was even a gal in fuzzy slippers on the dancefloor. Like most bars here, they also sell shirts and stuff with catchy phrases like «Whiskey Makes Me Frisky». And… they have a photobooth!

Music was great good prices but they ran out of bbq sauce. «This stuff happens» a server said to me. Yeah it does, it’s like saying a bar ran out of booze. Sad.

This is we on the celebration of marriage ceremony for first time. We came here when we are not spouse and now I can’t but praise to the place for their well and beautiful décor as well.
Highly recommendation of this place.

Had a great time, tried another local Bourbon call «Bella Meade». Not bad, It had a little bite. Not to much flavor.

Nice place, good music, and they have Miller Lite. Someone just told me I didn’t need to drive this far south from Chicago for a miller lite… Who knew?!

Live music and a kickin’ band for a Sunday night! We heard the music from outside and decided to stop in. Lively crowd, room to dance, and cheap beer. The band decided to stay on for an extra hour which was awesome. Highly recommend stopping by!

We came here on our last night in Nashville, its a pretty old crowd compared to the rest of Nashvegas but they have a live band and cheap beer, what more can you ask for?

I can tell this place can be a lot of fun. Unfortunately we were there in mid afternoon and place was slow. It would likely make a good one-​two punch with wild horse saloon just a few doors down the street.

This place is huge. The bar must be 75 – 100 feet long and they have lots of good draft options and live entertainment. Walk all the way to the back and look out the window for a good view of LP Field. My only gripe with this place is that it’s just so damn dark. Very depressing, unless the toothless lady is there to cheer you up with her dance moves.

On a long, all girls weekend in Nashville… the Silver Dollar Saloon is where we had the most fun! If its a Friday or Saturday night you can really only deal with the Broadway crowds, lines, and prices for so long so we found ourselves stumbling down 2^nd street this way. There was an awesome band, LOTS of dancing, and the crowd was just right — not body to body but pleasantly busy. I didn’t have a hard time getting to the bathrooms or ordering a drink, we even got to stay after hours and chat it up with the band because they weren’t hustling us out of there rudely. I had a great time and recommend it if you want to try something besides the main 5[ish] on Broadway. Enjoy :)

Walking through the busy downtown at night, we took a break from boot shopping (for me!) and found a place with live music and some fun.
Downtown is lively at night, so many people out celebrating, shopping, eating and drinking. We found ourselves a tiny little bit of the bar at the end. I ordered a Jack and Diet Coke and my guy ordered a beer.
The music was great, but we didn’t stay long as we had to get some dinner. All in all, it was a fun place with a great band.

One of my favorite bars in Nashville! The bartenders are so friendly and really know their drinks! Not to mention they have some of the best live music downtown! I ALWAYS stop by Silver Dollar whenever I’m downtown!

Great bar with plenty of drunks to make fun of. The band was one of the best we have seen. Beers are a little pricey but they are all over the area. No food though.

We were in Nashville from 12÷28÷12−1÷1÷13. My Husband and I stopped in the Silver Dollar for a cocktail on Sat ¹²⁄₂₉ while we were checkin out downtown Nashville. It was pretty quiet. The bartender was friendly and the band was pretty good. So we come back to town on New Years Eve with my whole dance team and I cannot say enough about the service that we got from the bartenders (all we had to do to get a drink is raise our glass) and the band that was in there was fantastic. Keep up the good work!!! We loved the place.

Bouncer wouldn’t let me in because I handed him my room card instead of ID but quickly fixed the error; I’m not sloppy or falling over drunk It was dark and my ID and room card look alike from the back still they refused — please go somewhere less snobby than this place

When the hotel shuttle dropped us off on 2^nd ave, we heard the music coming from inside and decided to drop in. The place was dead, however, it was only 6PM on a Sunday evening.
We sat at the bar and were given an extensive menu of bourbon and whiskey YAY!!!
After perusing the menu I decided on a pour of Four Roses small batch bourbon. It was spectacular. smooth and clean with vanilla and smoke flavors. Next I went with Dickels and it was equally as delicious. With the live band playing cover songs in the background, and the southern wall décor, this was a great place to start my evening. The prices are reasonable and the bar staff was very polite and helpful.

We stopped at Silver Dollar Saloon while on the Pedal Pub tour. It was a great spot. Good band, authentic vibe, easy to find a spot to get a drink. All in all, worth a stop.

Best live music on 2^nd Ave!!!

RUDE employees. I visited Nashville with a friend from out of town, and we liked the song playing in the Silver Dollar so we decided to go in despite it being completely empty of customers. I don’t know if the man checking IDs was bored or he had never seen an Illinois license before, but he wouldn’t accept them despite us both being of age. They took our IDs away from us and told us to leave or call the police ourselves to come verify the IDs. The bouncer was extremely rude and spoke down to us like delinquents. It wasn’t until 30 wasted minutes later a Nashville cop finally showed up and ran our licenses and informed the bar that they were legitimate.
