Best place to get a haircut. I needed help finding the best hair style for me and Kerri was extremely helpful. I couldn’t be happier and will definitely go back.

I can’t stand how AWESOME Kerri is. Seriously. We chatted and I instantly felt I had a sister. Go get em people. Not only did she listen but she had killer suggestions and answered honestly when I asked her what I should do. She knows current hair trends and is sensitive to those of us in the acting/​music industry. ;) I’ll be back, ladies.

I’m a bald dude. I shave my head. I proudly hadn’t paid for a hair cut in at least two years, when I decided to impulsively «treat myself» to a shave by a professional. Hey, they gave me a free beer with the cut, so that’s legit!
Anyway, she used clippers (I prefer it that way, anyway. Razors can hurt!) and paid attention to every little detail — making sure not to miss any spots. Then, she went above and beyond — gave me the full shampoo treatment and a bit of a scalp massage — and once dried, gave me a nice lotion+oil layer that smelled nice and gave my noggin a pleasant sheen.
Both gals are really nice, too. I’m glad I went to them for my first haircut in years — it’ll likely be the only one I have for quite awhile. If/​when I do again, I’ll be sure to stop at Scissor Sisters.

First of all I am the pickiest person you will EVER meet about my hair. I am so unbelievably impressed that someone perfected my request! I’ve never been more satisfied. I just moved to Nashville and was terrified of visiting a new salon. At first I couldn’t get in touch with any local hairstylist and started to get nervous just about that. When Kerri called me back she made me feel a ton better just over the phone by number one being the only salon to return my call and number two being so sweet to help me schedule an appointment at a convenient time. From the time I walked in to walking out the door, I felt so welcome, like I’d been going there for years. Kerri was so attentive and careful with every section of hair that even the foils looked fabulous
Normally when I get highlights I leave with dry, damaged looking hair, but it’s softer now than before the highlights! She showed a genuine concern for not only the appearance of my hair, but also the texture and health. It looks amazing!!! Thank you again!!!

The least fear-​inducing hair cut I’ve ever had. These ladies are total pros, charming conversationalists (though I’m sure they’d let you just sit and nap, if that’s more your speed), and keep a fully stocked mini-​fridge. I was in and out in 30 minutes, and they saved me a trip to the bar later that evening.

Reluctant to give a review and have Kathryn be unavailable but here goes. Used to go to Trim and a place in Atlanta. While I received great cuts, scheduling was a bear and the prices were expensive. I received a better cut from Kathryn. She took the time to listen to what I wanted, made suggestions, and executed the cut perfectly! The reviews here are real and she is the real deal. There is parking BEHIND the 2-​story home AND her shop entrance is in the back.

I travel into Nashville frequently for work, and needed a cut bad. I decided I would try a place close to where I typically stay and Unilocal had some good reviews. First, the place is hard to find, not a big sign and essentially looks like walking into a house, but this should no deter you from visiting. Both sisters were extremely funny, outgoing, entertaining and made me feel really comfortable. Oh, and there first question as soon as I walked in was, «Do you want a beer.» Now that is never bad. The haircut was fantastic and so was the company.

I’m working in Nashville this summer, and my hair grows like a weed. After being here for two months, I found myself in dire need of a good hair cut. Unfortunately, Asian hair is unlike other hair textures, and requires a significant amount of care and attention to detail, or else it doesn’t turn out well.
Thankfully, Kathryn is great at cutting Asian hair! After scheduling an appointment with her a week ago, I was able to meet up with her today for a haircut. Reasonably priced at $ 20, Kathryn provides a great hair cut AND great conversation. She is so polite and friendly, and makes getting a haircut a completely stress-​free process. It was a pleasant experience for me to get my hair cut and meet someone new at the same time.
If I lived in Nashville or returned again for an extended period of time, I would for sure come back to SS to get another hair cut! I would highly recommend trying them out!

Just got my hair cut by Kerri. Not only is she an expert stylist, but a good listener who took the time to find out what I wanted. The atmosphere is low key, comfortable, unhurried, friendly and inviting. Very pleased with the experience and the result. Scissor Sisters is a hidden gem.

I am very picky when it comes to my hair-​cut and have tried many many places (from super expensive salons to cheap barber shops) before i found Kathryn two years ago. I am confident in saying that my search for the «best hair-​cut in Nashville» is complete. Kathryn has always been on time and definitely knows what she is doing. The prices here are very reasonable and both sisters keep the place very clean all the time. The parking is very convenient too. I have recommended Kathryn to many of my friends who are now regulars and all agree that this is the best place to get a haircut. Both Kathryn and Kerri are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to any guy looking for a great haircut.

Kerri has been cutting my hair since before the sisters opened their salon. I’m hard to please when it comes to hair-​cuts. Generally, If I walk into a barber or salon and the first question is «What number?», I get up and leave! Kerri is one of the few stylists I have ever met that really gets how to cut guys hair with scissors! Once my wife noticed that I kept going back to same place, she decided to give them a try as well. She is now a regular customer, and we sometimes go get haircuts together. =)
Aside from all that, the sisters are always prompt and friendly.

My hubby and I moved from Los Angeles 2 years ago and have been searching for a good salon that knows how to cut and dye Asian hair well. When we moved to Nashville, my hubby went from going to the known barbershop, Floyds 99, to Sports Clips… and for myself I would wait for my next trip back to LA to get my hair cut. It wasn’t till a new co-​worker started at my previous job, who also recently moved back to Nashville from being away for 10−15+ years, recommended SS. I highly trusted his recommendation because he lived in NYC & SF and knew what we were looking for.
THANK GOD. Kerri even colored my hair for my wedding and it was gorgeous! She made it look sun-​kissed with natural shades of browns and lighter brown so when I had my hair up you were able to see every curl and direction it was going. LOVED IT. I received so many compliments and even had other ladies feel confident to go and get their hair cut and highlights by her.
My hubby and I only recommend SS, but at the same time are picky who we tell because we like SS so much that we don’t want EVERYONE to go… yes, how selfish of us — whatevs.

I. like many of their customers, have been going for years. It’s a two seat shop with two sisters, and a great low key laid back atmosphere. The prices are way beyond reasonable, and after 8 mos of nagging :) I even got my wife to go, and she is always thrilled. That alone makes them priceless! So, for men or women this is a great salon!

Great haircuts at a great price. I’ve been going there for years. Kerri and Kathryn are terrific stylists. A good selection of vinyl records and a free beer also help enhance the experience. Support your local business people! Much better than the chain salons
