I had to have a mammogram recently and Saint Thomas Center for Breast Health came highly recommended by several health care professionals. The techs who took care of me have been doing this for years. They were friendly, knowledgeable and they tried to keep things laid back and as comfortable as possible. As awesome as they were, I was most impressed when the doctor came in to see me personally after all the tests were run to give me the results and to see if I had any questions. Yes, they give you the results before you walk out the door and they do their best to make sure you have all of your questions answered.
The only reason I don’t give five stars is a snafu with the appointment. Tip: there is a difference between a screening mammogram and a diagnostic mammogram. Make sure your doctor writes the order for the one you need and make sure Saint Thomas schedules you for the one you need! Wait times can also be long due to the personalized care they try and give everyone but I personally consider the wait time well worth it to get that personalized care when it is my turn.
