This Ryans is turning into a Hispanic Day Care, where the employees are allowed to bring their kids during their work hours and let them annoy customers and run around the restaurant yelling and un supervised. Management takes part in this. The Hispanics have private conversations unrelated to work, in Mexican, while standing around not doing their jobs. Management sees this going on and sometimes participates. I saw an elderly gentlemen wait patiently, to be served, while these workers were 10 feet away ignoring him. Finally, he had to help himself to the ribs, because no one would wait on him. I pointed this out to management, but didn’t see them do anything to change the situation. I see the American employees working. I see the Hispanics standing around, often and not manning their stations. There are other problems like the torn up seats, often dirty tables, dirty dishes, closed down sections, machines out of service, reduced fare, special food advertised and not available on a regular basis, no more pies, no chocolate milk, dried up food left out too long, etc. Just going downhill, in general.

Words can not express. I would stop typing there but I have to have so many words in a review before it will let me post.

Went there with coupons for dinner on 7÷29÷15 for $ 8.99(normally $ 11.79). Had been there years ago and it was decent. Today, it was horrible. Some of the food looked like it had been in the trays for days. Fried chicken was gross and dry. The rotisserie chicken was dried out. The food on the taco bar was acceptable as was the salad bar. The food on the carving station looked yuck. This was the worst dinner experience we have had in many years. Not surprised other locations have closed. This one is soon to follow. Not many diners at 6:00PM. Your shoes stick to the floor in the restrooms. Simply bad experience. And I have another coupon at home for Buy One Dinner, Get One Dinner Free… won’t be using that any time soon. Choose to go elsewhere.

I arrived an hour before the door said that they closed. Apparently, that is after they stop restocking the items on the Buffett. Salad bar features a few poorly sliced/chopped topping served half frozen. The mixed greens were starting to turn. The shredded carrot had a good deal of hard boiled egg debris on it. Romaine was browning and almost empty. They started to empty the few choices remaining on the hot side 12 minutes after I sat down. And soon after that they began to vacuum the dining room floor. Mash potato could not melt butter. I was hoping for at least a few vegetable offerings, and they were offering green beans, corn, baby carrots, streamed cabbage, all appeared to be straight out of the can. They had some beans of some sort that looked too dry to try. The only seafood offering available was what appears to be hours old fried fish sticks or a formally baked now dehydrated filet of tilapia, of which only a few fragments remain. Mac and cheese tastes like the #10 can of «nacho cheese food». It ought to be served with a soup spoon. The taco bar, also had been left to dry out and cook down. I write this review in the hopes that neither I nor anyone else forget, and give this place the benefit of the doubt. This is two for two, I wouldn’t eat here again for half the price. My deep sympathy goes to those stuck working here. I still tipped almost 20% for the effort.

Still a great place to eat after all these years. Many of the Ryan’s locations, i. e, Clarksville, Hopkinsville, etc. have closed, but this one hangs on and keeps serving great food with great service.

Just nasty. Dirty. Don’t waste your money. Dirty around food buffet, food was over cooked, but the waitress was delightful and the customers provided quite a show!

I’m sorry to say that I was extremely disappointed. It started with the filthy restroom(extremely dirty seats with tissues and towels everywhere on the floor). Some of the plates and silverware were dirty(we found out the dishwasher was broken). Most of the hot items looked like they were there since lunch. I probably won’t be giving this restaurant another try.

I have been to Ryan’s several times before, but only in Murfreesboro and Lebanon. My husband and I were out running errands in Madison and discovered that there was a Ryan’s location there, so we decided to eat there for dinner. I enjoyed the food as always, but the environment there seemed to be off. Some of the tables seemed to be left really messy, and no one really bothered to clean around the buffets either, as they were left messy as well. I would probably return to Ryan’s, but probably not to this location.

Since we started dating, my wife has told me about Ryan’s and how great the food is. Well, after doing some shopping with gift cards one evening, we stopped at this Ryan’s for dinner. Low and behold the food was good! That being said, according to her, this location is much smaller than the ones she went to growing up, but still had a nice selection. Yes, it is a cheap family restaurant, but it was a far nicer experience then one of their primary competitors that shall remain unnamed. In the end, I won’t go out of my way to return, but I will gladly return if I am in the area.

Save yourself the embarrassment and go to Sunset just down the road. I was on a business trip and ate at Sunset(closed on Wednesdays), which forced me to go to Ryan’s because of time. The service was subpar, the food was even worse. Some examples of this were over-fried chicken, soggy fried okra, and instant mashed potatoes. The only saving grace of this place was the dinner rolls. If you’re looking for just rolls for lunch/dinner, you’ll feel right at home at Ryan’s. The best part of the meal was walking out the exit.

I long for the day when things are as good as you remembered them. This place used to be Old Country Buffet and it was good. Since it became Ryans it went down hill. I went there the other day for it’s big re-grand opening and it was bad. I mean, bad. Just not good at all. The food was all frozen stuff they just added water to and heated. Nothing had any flavor or spice. I was hoping since it had shut down and tried to start over it would have been good. I was let down badly. The only thing I can say good is that they have Milk on tap. Everything else is bad. Did I mention I thought this place was bad?

The breakfast buffet is a poor excuse for food. The link sausage is awful. The waffles are frozen. The gravy is water. The hash browns were frozen and less tasteful than McDonald’s. They have small cups to force you to refill more often. Avoid this place and go down the road to IHOP.

I had not been to a Ryan’s since i left the Midwest 6 yrs ago. I was very pleased with the food & the service. The rolls are still soft & hot as I remember. I can’t wait to go back!
