«Coldest Beer in Town»… I pretty much love every place I’ve ever gone to that claims they have the coldest beer in town. You know why? Because even if it isn’t true, they still have beer… I’ve been frequenting Rick’s for 3 years now and they always have everything I need (well, minus the pickled cucumbers but that’s never been my style)… I just love this little joint and everyone who works there. If I ever have a hankering for a kit kat bar or need a cold 6 pack this is where I go.

Little markets like this are as American as a John Cougar Mellancamp song. Places like these are becoming harder and harder to find as the Tiger Markets, Targets, and Walgreens take over the world. As their sign says (I’ll post pictures later) — Picnic items, Cold Beer, Cigarettes — pretty much sums it up. Located in my dear «transitional» neighborhood, this IS the place for a Snickers and a 6 pack… or the emergency can of dog food. You won’t find much more here (beer selection nice however) but like my roommate and I say «If they don’t have it, you don’t need it.»
