Picked this place over the summer because of its conveniently low prices. Well, you get what you pay for. The first room we entered was appalling. I tried to see if I could suck it up but it was just… awful. It was so humid the walls were literally dripping with moisture. I tried blasting the air conditioner but it wasn’t helping. The carpets and bedding all felt moist and the room smelled moldy, the carpet was actually torn and coming up in spots, the bathroom was rusted in areas and there was hair in the toilet and bath tub. Oh, and our«non-smoking» room had cigarette holes in the comforter of the bed. Thinking it was just the room, we asked for a switch(and got attitude from the front help for it). The next room was the same, if not worse. Moisture still dripping from the walls, and someone had left a glass on the notepad in the room as that had a ring soaked through it. Fearing for what could be lurking under the sheets, we left, and were refused a refund even though we had only been there for a little over an hour. Absolutely nothing is worth staying here; I spent much more that stay on a nicer one and my only regret is that I tried to deal with this one.

Horrible. I have a higher expectation but this was disgusting. For 100.00, which is affordable, I still expected a lot cleaner place to stay. The breakfast was nice but after not sleeping for fear of bugs it was the only reason I didn’t ask for a refund. Spend 50 more and stay at a hotel closer to the city.

Driving through on our way cross country we arrived late. Got a deal on the room since I was able to find a lower price on Orbitz that they would match. The sheets were clean and the room was tidy enough for a motel. That’s why it gets two stars. The minute we entered the room our supposedly smoke free room reeked of cigarettes. It was 1 am so I turned on the ac and sprayed as much perfume as possible. Check out was at 11, but after calling the front desk at 10 they extended the check out time til noon. However they didn’t inform housekeeping, who harassed us not once but twice, informing us we needed to check out because it was past 11. When we were checking out we politely pointed out what had occurred and didn’t even get an apology, just a shrug. No bueno.

This location is open and newly renovated. Very clean and nice and wonderfully friendly staff! Great experience after our unpleasant experience in Knoxville.

Don’t know why it’s marked«closed» since I’m here now…1 star for service which was great. 1 star for a decent continental breakfast with waffles. 1 star for easy location(though about 10 min from downtown). The bed was clean. Bathroom has issues– broken tub which leaks and must leak outside our room as they knocked as we were showering this morning to ask to fix it and mold on curtain. I’m just glad we’re not in out room hardly at all.

Came in at 8am. They said rooms were full and to come back at 12. Came back at 1130 and they said they just gave a room away and to come back at 3. The online site said check in at noon. Why should I have to leave and come back 4 times especially after I already paid and reserved. And the parking lot is not even half full. Maybe it’s just how they treat certain people down south. No hi no hello or how you doing. No greet no nothing. Stay away if you are not their type.

Front desk personnel were attentive and very helpful. Had two rooms for 3 days. Price was reasonable. One room was remodeled and nice. The other was in need of refresh. Got locked out daily — key system doesn’t work. Not real secure because any housekeeper will let you into any room with no check. The interior is a bit run down and the smoking floor reeks. Elevators are slow, noisy and bumpy. Beds were lumpy and broken down. Bleached white polka dots on bedspreads and carpet indicate the use of bleach to clean certain frequent stains. This seems to be a no tell hotel. Bathrooms dirty. I will never stay at Red Roof again.

Stayed here in November for the Monumental Marathon. The rooms were fine– you get what you pay for. The lobby is very nice, clearly recently renovated. There is a Subway attached for an easy food option. Downsides: 1) This is definitely away from things. You will need to drive 10 – 15 minutes into town if you have a car or expect a $ 20 – 30 cab ride. 2) Our electronic lock on our room didn’t work well. At one point we had to go down 3 times to get replacement keys until it worked. Upsides: 1) Fairly nice continental breakfast 2) Manager was super nice and even let us into his office to print out our parking voucher 3) Indoor pool looked small but nice, though I didn’t get the chance to use it

Stayed here for about 4 – 5 days. Clean hotel, undergoing Red Roof’s Next Gen upgrades so there was a bit of renovations/construction occurring, but room was clean, all new carpeting and room accouterments, and friendly staff. In my room, I had a very slow draining sink but that fixable, and breakfast was not as advertised when I stayed but otherwise a sold choice. This location is not in the best of areas and is surrounded by shady motel options… stay here. Its new(er), upgraded, and rooms are comfortable. Slight issues aside from the sink from that the manager was out of town for half of my trip and he is the one who cooks eggs/sausage for breakfast, the staff is not allowed. So when I stayed, only toast, cereal, fruit, and Kellogs bars were available. Also, the HDTV in my room had static on all channels, no HD service, and on my first night had a few HD coax channels available. When I re-scanned for new channels, those digital channels disappeared and every other available channel was snowy… that unacceptable. On the plus, WiFi was 10 Mbps down and Netflix was able to connect and streamed like a dream. Many hotels have Netflix blocked but it worked nice here. I would stay here again if in the Brick Church Pike area… but be warned, its in a shady low income area.

Stayed at this property twice. This visit it’s now a Red Roof inn. Nothing really changed from our last visit. Basic hotel — room was clean and beds ok. Everything worked and staff was friendly. Breakfast was somewhat lacking and area is a little shady(I would not venture out walking at night). Cab ride DT was $ 16. Stayed here before and will probably stay here again. Good place to stay if you want a decent hotel at a good price that’s close to DT or if you’re just passing through.
