The ordering process is weird. The food is good. It kind of reminded me of a lunch counter, but I had no idea what the hell I had ordered by the time I was paying for it. What I thought was a barbecue gyro sandwich was actually a platter. Wasn’t put off, it was still pretty legit. The meat /rice combo was good, the hummus was good, the tabbouleh was freaking excellent. I’m stuffed and I would eat more of it in a heartbeat. I still might.

I have friends who come here almost every single day of the work week. I have only been once. The service was fast and the people behind the counter were very helpful. I had the Gyro plate. Gyro I think was a little salty for me, but STILL very good. The cucumber sauce tzatziki sauce was so disappointed. Very watery and very tasteless. The fries are seasoned with season salt. Very good fries. They have chicken and beef/lamb combo plates. The bread was soft and great for the plate or sandwich. The food is prepared in front of the patrons so you know your food is not waiting on someone to order. Good lunch for a quick lunch break at the mall or before a movie or while shopping.

Great find in the mall! Food was delicious. As someone who has numerous iterations on the halal plate and gyro, this was definitely up there. Rice was a tad over-cooked, but the gyro meat, sauce, and condiments were great. The tabouli was incredibly fresh.

Absolutely delicious! I despise malls but when I do come to Opry Mills this is the only place I’ll eat. Fresh food, nice people, and they are really accommodating on whatever you want. No rice? Ok great, how about more salad? Yes, please. Definitely recommend.

The service was fast and friendly, the hot food was hot and tasty, the cold salad was fresh, the hummus was delicious as was everything on my plate! Very clean facility. I recommend ordering the food to take out because the servings are too large to eat at one sitting.

What are you supposed to do when you have tickets to the Grand Olé Opry but have only half an hour to eat? Such was the plight of me and Jamie W. as we were readying for our first-time show there. We spent the day downtown and couldn’t quite figure out whether we could eat there and brave the traffic. Alas, we decided to play it safe and quickly minimized our dining options to the food court at Opry Mills, the chaotic shopping mall across the way from the theater. I have to say this was one of the largest food courts I’ve ever seen in a mall as it came complete with a carousel(photo: ). We were hoping to find a hot chicken stand but no such luck, so we were swayed by the loud-mouthed girl who was acting like a carnival barker getting people to come to her kiosk of Middle Eastern fast food. The minute we got up to order, we were treated like prisoners at a cafeteria as they kept motioning us to keep moving along even though there was nobody behind us. All the toppings were in front of us Chipotle-style(photo: ), and the staff was ready to make mountains on plates. I ordered their premium item, the $ 8.29 Pyramid Club Plate. It was a combination of gyros and chicken with grilled onions, green peppers, mushrooms and melted cheese with a cup of tzatziki sauce(photo: ). I have to admit it wasn’t terrible. It was actually quite a bit of food even for Nashville, although I frankly don’t understand this Deep South habit of adding a pile of shredded cheddar cheese as a topping. There was quite a pile of fresh hummus on the side to go with the warmed pita wedges. I just wish they didn’t feel a need to be so abrasive to passing customers like they were aspiring to be the Don Rickles of gyros stands. FOOD — 3 stars… big plates of gyros, chicken and hummus but cut the cheese if you know what I mean AMBIANCE — 3 stars… it’s a big food court… take a seat, any seat SERVICE — 1.5 stars… rude, just rude TOTAL — 3 stars… I’ll focus on the food which is middling and filling and filling to your middling

Great food. And always great service. They are very friendly and make sure you get exactly what you want. Even if you don’t know how to pronounce it!

The gyro I bought was authentic! The taste was awesome! I ordered a Greek salad as a side and you could tell all the veggies had been cut fresh! The place was really clean! I’m definitely coming back!

Hands down, me and my wife’s favorite place to eat anywhere! Since we began dating in high school and they were located at Hickory Hollow Mall this was our after church stop. I get a gyro with seasoned fries and my wife gets a chicken Greek with mushroom. I am emotionally unstable when I see their sign. My nose can detect this culinary masterpiece 30 miles away. Would trade my first born if they would open a restaurant in Chattanooga.

I’m always pleased with the food here. I feel like this is a step above what you would expect from a mall food court. I usually get the gyro plate or the Greek salad. Definitely worth a try if you like Mediterranean food and need to stop in the mall.

Surprisingly good Greek food at a mall food court! Generous portions and great flavor. The gyro plate is awesome and more than I can eat. Some of the best tabbouleh I have ever had. Don’t let the short line fool you… people don’t know what they are missing!

My mom got the Gyro sandwich with salad and I got the grilled chicken gyro with fries. Gyro: The pita was piled high with meat, but they were really skimpy on the gyro toppings. My mom thought the lamb was overseasoned, but not much you can do about a pre-seasoned leg of frozen meat. Chicken Gyro: Unlike other gyro places I’ve tried in malls where the chicken is cooked fresh, the chicken here is already precooked. All they are doing is cutting it up and reheating it up on the grill which I didn’t like. When asked if I wanted cheese on my gyro I said yes, but they didn’t actually mean my gyro. They meant did I want melted cheese on my chicken as the reheated it on the grill. My toppings were also skimpy even when I asked for extra lettuce and ranch, The chicken was not seasoned well and the addition of melted(American??) cheese did not appeal to me. Fries and salad: The fries were hot and crispy with a nice amount of seasoned salt on them. The salad consisted of a dressing over cucumbers, tomatoes, and some lettuce. Both of us enjoyed our side items. Definitely would not eat here again because the food concept is definitely more of «fast food» then of fresh food. I can go to a local gyro place and get the exact same grilled chicken gyro but actually have it cooked fresh for me.

I gave 3 stars just out of fairness because we did not actually eat there, so we may have really loved it. But as someone below already mentioned, the employees obnoxiously yell and scream at potential customers and this put us off from wanting to try the food. We were standing way back, simply trying to read the menu and regardless of the fact they were already busy with people right at the counter, 2 or 3 of the gals working there endlessly –screamed– at us… «try our fries», «here is a sample», «here is a menu», «blah, blah, blah…» yeesh, this was too much. I don’t like being yelled at, and figured that if they are that desperate, there must be something wrong with the food. Give it a try if you don’t mind obnoxious behavior, sounds like most people here like the food, but if you prefer to be treated decently, you will be better off somewhere else.

As far as mall food court options go I was pretty impressed with Pyramids. There weren’t very many options to pick from that I didn’t feel guilty or disgusted by in the Opry food court but there are a heck of a lot of options for sure. I had heard someone tell me if you have to eat at the mall, eat at Pyramids so we sped right up to their counter. All the employees were shouting at passersby, try our chicken, try out hummus! Very pushy in an endearing middle eastern sort of way that actually I’m quite used to. I could see this being off putting for a lot of other folks but oh well if you’re scared away you’re missing out! I knew I wanted the Gyro sandwich with fries and let them know, my boyfriend got a gyro plate, we both got lamb and to my surprise they wanted to know what I wanted on my sandwich. I’ve never been asked a gyro stand what I wanted on my sandwich, Tzatziki, tomatoes, onions and lettuce, duh. Seasoned fries? Yes of course, duh! They don’t mess around with servings at this place… gigantic, which sort of offsets the obscene mall food prices. We both got sodas and our tab I think was like $ 22! I thought the gyro meat itself was the best part of my meal. The Tzatziki was probably from a jar but sufficed, and the lettuce and tomatoes were pretty useless but again compared to other mall food I’ve had this was okay. Let me put it this way, I would definitely eat here again. PS Here’s how you pronounce Gyro — it’s not JYY– ROW ALSO, always ask for more sauce on the side, you’ll want it!

Really good gyros and fries. You get a lot for your money. The baklava was so good too. I recommend it if you are at Opry Mills.

I know it’s a mall chain restaurant, but it’s good. The ordering process is a little, odd, though. A lady approached me with a pen and pad and asked for my order. I then walked to the cashier to pay. Then I would go through the cafeteria-style line and show the servers my ticket. They then quickly scooped up all the yummy goodness. I got the gyro platter, which was good. It was cut a little too thick for my taste and perhaps there was a little too much«doughy» stuff(I have no idea what’s in gyro meat except lamb and beef, but this one, had something else). The rice was really buttery. However, it may have been cooked a little too long, or sat in the warming tray for a little too long, since it was getting on the mushy side. The cucumber salad, surprisingly, was excellent. If I was a vegetarian, I would just go for the cucumber salad. Finally, there was the price — pretty good for the area and«mall food.» I would definitely come back if I needed a gyro fix.
