I’ll have to take issue with the «outstanding customer service» claim on the other review. I walked in today with a B800 Alien Bees, which was under warranty. I expected to walk out with a replacement unit but instead got «it’s going to take 2 weeks.» Really? Now I gotta use speedlites on my next shoot. Not cool.

Ive been doing business, buying photographic products, with this company for over 20 years. Flash heads, light stands, battery packs. I am currently using the Alien Bee 800 and 1600 models with mini battery pack. They work perfectly and more importantly — predictably.
So refreshing to have such good old fashion quality customer service. If you have a question, make a phone call and they answer the phone right away.
Made in the USA.

Purchased some electronics and camera accessories through this company website on Feb 29Th 2012, order #2217−5465−5075, the company ignored my order and refused to ship it to my business address, they asked me to wire them money. I refused and they suggested I replace the order and use my home address which I did on March 1^st 2012 order #2217−7075−3660.
When I inquired about this last order, I was told that they will not ship to me and did not provide any info trying to force me to wire them money. Payment was made via American Express but they refused to complete my order for no valid reason beside the fact that they want me to wire them money which I do not feel comfortable doing. This company seems to be questionable and I need your assistance with my purchase and having this company comply with Fair trade act.
These actions are biased and unethical.
On both orders, the company simply accepted my order and they were so much of coward that they did not have the guts to email or call with a reason for refusing to complete my order. I am a legitimate business but was treated as an online criminal because of my business being a shipping center in Lowell MA. Guilty until proven innocent, I even placed the second order with my home address but they refused to ship, no explanations given besides forcing me to wire them the money which I will not do. Thus company could be a scam, buyer be aware.

No matter what anyone says about the owner’s political beliefs, they make good products especially for the money and they have OUTSTANDING customer service. AB’s are the least expensive studio strobe lighting that proves reliable… they are local and take good care of their customers, and workers seem to have good morale. I really don’t care one iota about the political crap, bottom line… good products and great customer care.
