Party City

Well Halloween is suppose to be fun and exciting for the kids, my visit at this location was HORRIBLE! It was very unorganized and the system of passing out the costumes was very frustrating. I wanted to exchange/​return a costume but they didn’t have the size i needed so i was told that I had to take a store credit by JAMES LAWERENCE (he said he’s a manager). I asked JAMES to call Hermitage location and he claims he did but their phone was off the hook. JAMES told me I could take my store credit and go to another Party City. So I left and drove 20+ miles to Hermitage where I found my child’s costume. When i get to the check out counter, the cashier and manager informs me that I can only use the store in the store where it was received. Ok so IF THIS IS TRUE, WHY DID JAMES LAWERENCE (the acting manager at Charlotte location) GIVE ME THIS KNOWING I WAS GOING TO A DIFFERENT PARTY CITY!!! When I call Charlotte location I spoke with ALTAVIS DOUGLAS (another manager) who transferred me to JAMES LAWERENCE. James was VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL! When i asked him about the situation he denied the whole thing. After dealing with this unprofessional staff, I asked to speak back to ALTAVIS bc he had more respect. But check this out… WHILE I WAS TALKING ON THE PHONE TO ALTAVIS, JAMES WAS IN THE BACK GROUND TALKING LOUD ABOUT ME AND THEN TOLD ME HIS NAME AND EVEN SPELLED IT! AIN’T THAT OME MESS!!! AND THAT’S PROFESSIONALISM??? I was given the name CODY KELLY. I was told he’s the manager. Needless to say I still have this stupid store credit that I have to use at this location. This will be my LAST VISIT! The Executive boss needs to reevaluate his managers bc JAMES LAWERENCE… ENOUGH SAID!!! AND I HOPE THE CORPORATE OFFICE READS THIS MSG. I’M KNOW THERE ARE OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS LOCATION BUT PEOPLE KEEP QUIET LIKE I HAVE… UNTIL TODAY!

I love love love this store! Great staff, great product, great service. Halloween brings out the best merchandise and so much fun. They have so many costumes to choose from, and they’re not badly priced.

Shopping here was fun! I didn’t know how much stuff they had… and pretty much everything i was looking for. The lady on staff was very helpful and knew where everything was located. In a store this big, it’s easy to overlook something or get distracted. I highly recommend making this your first stop when party shopping.

Shopping at Party City is fun… there is no other way to explain it. I don’t have this store in WEST VIRGINIA where I am from so when I discovered this store about 2 yrs ago… I was so happy.
I shop here for my daughters’ halloween costumes, she is in high school and they have some really great choices. If I have a party in the works, I run to Party City. It helps me decide on my themes, I get everything I need and the prices are wonderful!
If you haven’t shopped here yet, Go NOW !!! you will be very happy that you did!

While this store was pretty clean and well-​organized, I was shocked at the incredibly tiny section dedicated to «Bachelorette» supplies. The few shelves dedicated to this theme were in desperate need of restocking.
So I decided to get creative by looking for items like feather boas and princess crowns within the other departments in the store.
Unfortunately, the staff’s unwillingness to help was quite a turnoff, and I finally just gave up. I would’ve understood if the store was busy, considering the upcoming holiday — but it was not.

Great place to get your party goods. It’s your typical Party Store but has plenty of options for parties or for Halloween costumes. Much of the staff is dressed up around Halloween and they’re happy to help make costume decisions for you.
I was a bit disappointed that the one item I picked out turned to be mis-​labeled for price, but they quickly changed it for me at the counter so no complaints!

Having a party? Well Party City is waiting to outfit it. Carrying serving ware, decorations, party favors and more for just about anything you could celebrate Party City is a good place to go if you are looking for a way to jazz up birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, or theme parties. However, if your intention is to go there for Halloween costumes, be warned its chaos. The closer it gets to the big day, they more absolutely disastrous it becomes. I went to Party City about a week before Halloween looking for a wig and the place was messy but still navigable. However, upon my return the day of Halloween for another costume prop, Party City was destroyed with everything scattered all over the floor, nothing to be found anywhere, and only one sales person actually doing their job.
