If you can’t make it to the Grand Olé Opry, then you can find all your souvenir needs here. Nothing I wanted though.

I love to shop in here. or just pass the time on my lunch hour at work. I work in the Bat Building behind here and I enjoy stopping in to see whatever is new. Great location, among all the tourist spots. Prices can be pricey but items are really good! A must stop for the tourist visiting Nashville…

Quality stuff. Not kitchy souvenirs but good selection of all kinds of Nashville, country and just fun items. Found a 40% off rack in the back. Bargains! Even better. Not open late.

Opry Originals is on the main strip in downtown Nashville on Broadway in the touristy section known as «Lower Broad». There are lots of gift and souvenir shops in the area but this store is much more than that and is an official store of the Grand Olé Opry. You can find much of the same merchandise inside Opry Originals as you’d find at the Opry Shop at the Grand Olé Opry House or the shop online on Of all the stores we’ve wandered into in downtown Nashville I like Opry Originals the best. It’s a fairly large store and there is lots to chose from not just Opry themed items(but if you are looking for Opry related merchandise then this is the place to go). There’s a good selection and wide variety of both expensive and inexpensive stuff. The tee shirts there are a good quality, not the cheap kind that fall apart and fade after the first wash. And even though I was looking for clothing, Opry Originals has lots of different things inside. I can’t even remember everything I saw in the store but it included fancy jeans and jackets, tee shirts, boots, cowboy hats, a good selection of children’s and baby clothing, aprons, throw pillows, blankets, pancake mix, jams and jelly, dinner plates, CDs, postcards just to mention a few. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’d seen a cowboys and cowgirls baby changing table pad in the fall I wanted but didn’t buy at the time. I was pleased to come back and find it still there almost 6 months later and marked down 25% at that. In fact, you can find some good deals on marked down and clearance items there. There’s a spot inside with a replica of the Opry’s old-time microphone on its stand so you can take a picture of yourself pretending to be singing on stage. Cameras are welcome in the store, that’s what the area is for. There’s also a long bench to sit on and rest under multiple screens showing different Opry performances. And there’s a public bathroom inside as well which is nice. On the store has an official webpage but it’s only one page and doesn’t really show the merchandise they offer. It does give the store hours which are good as it’s open late. The last time we went about 7pm on a Sunday and it was still open while several of the other stores in the area were closed. I think it’s open as late as 11 on some nights(but not Sundays). The only bad thing about Opry Originals is there is no wheelchair access to get into the store from the front main entrance. We didn’t have anyone in a wheelchair with us but we did have a stroller. There were only about 3 or 4 short steps we had to lift the stroller over but with a wheelchair it would be difficult if not impossible. The lack of access could be because the building is an old converted bank from the turn of the century. There may be a side entrance that has access which I didn’t notice though.
