OMG…$ 15k for a painting of the Marathon Music works building??? come on… for real??? I was excited to go in the shop because I had been putting it off. I thought it was like an art gallery where you would browse and buy something. but they were all by the same person… OLGA??? I have never even heard of her and the prices I told my daughter, lets go home and sketch something, paint it and sell it… both us have artistic ability… so we could make a fortune. but again this is just where someone has enough money to afford the rent, and lucked into a great location. her neighbors across the way are the«American Pickers’ so she is going to get volume of stragglers leaving the Pickers store. she is bound to sell something… but $ 30 for a coaster… NOTME !!! I will keep my money thank you !!

Nashville artist Olga Alexeeva shows her colorful and energetic artwork at her O gallery in Marathon Village at 1305 Clinton street. The most colorful and creative gallery in Nashville is a result of Olga’s dedication to having fun with her artwork and exploring many different subject matters. Many personal, many about Nashville and many about matters of the heart. The walls are lined with original paintings be it oil or acrylic and every image is offered in many different reproduction forms. Giclee, ceramic tile, aluminum, fleece, magnets and coasters. Cutting boards and serving trays are also available. Olga also works in Encaustic Wax, one of the oldest art forms to mankind. This is the one gallery in Nashville that should not be missed.

Walking into«O» Gallery was visually striking. Everywhere you look you’ll see all kinds of works that clearly come from the hands of a woman who knows exactly what she wants from life. Olga, the gallery owner and artist, was once a theater actress; and I believe her ability to convey passion, exuberance, love, and loss; did not die once she decided to move from Moscow to Nashville. Although her art makes me wish she was still on the stage, Olga did a lovely job of finding an alternate medium to express herself. Olga comes across as a heavily-guarded woman; and the friends of hers I met were almost the same; if not, very protective of their favorite artist. Don’t we all love mysterious women? Olga likes to have visitors in her gallery. If you have a minute, she’ll offer you Russian tea; and make you rearrange a wall of paintings just to switch things up. There’s also a guest sign-in book where you can simply sign your name, leave your information, write a thank you note or a poem, or possibly leave art of your own. I love Olga’s art, but I don’t think I’ll ever understand her rhyme or reason with which she hangs her works. That said, my friend got sheistered into rearranging one of the walls, and I didn’t understand his vision either. I almost want to go back and rearrange the whole gallery while she isn’t looking. Olga tells me that she has also had local musicians perform in her gallery. I’m betting that would be a treat to see. She’s exactly the personality you want to host this kind of venue. I’m sure she thrives off the distraction and chaos of large rooms of people. The more distractions, the less she needs to reveal of herself. There’s an old Russian train of thought where you just don’t gloat about yourself. Speaking on all of the good things happening in your life can jinx it or something to that effect. When I was talking to Olga, I wanted to know more about her life and what it was like to grow up in Moscow. I guess my past as a reporter makes it part of my M.O. but also her art almost screams out for you to ask. I hope one day she actually finds someone she can really talk to. I don’t know her; but I hope her next step in life is to write a book about living in Moscow. Especially from the perspective of being in the theater industry. Olga, if you need someone to help you, please look me up! That’s worth the trip back to Nashville! Definitely visit this Gallery, you’ll have a good time!

I found that Olga made it easy to find what I needed in her gallery — no pressure, just light-hearted fun and conversation. Plus her parties there are great!

If you are in Nashville and you want to meet a very cool artist named Olga, you must go here! She is an amazing lady with great talent. We are the proud owners of «Nashville in my Mind» Oil Painting after seeing this image all over town in other venues as she has sold the rights to this«print.» But we have the larger than life Oil painting for our home in Wisconsin so we are never far from our home town! She offers weekly painting classes too. She is right across the street from the American Pickers store in Marathon Village. She offers many levels of art work ranging in prices from $ 15 on up!

Nashville art is evolving thanks to trendsetters like the owner and artist Olga Alexeeva. You must see a gallery and meet Olga. She is an inspiration to Nashville business owners and a powerful female entrepreneur who built an incredible reputation in her business circles. I love to give a good publicity to biz owners through stories and her story is truly remarkable. Her art is her life. It is her soul speaking… She is a woman of action, commitment and integrity. Her art is unique and nobody is like her. She stands out in the crowd of other artists because of her views on life. Her wisdom is remarkable and her talent to paint is an example of what we can do. You will love her fine contemporary art and no wonder she was nominated«Best Gallery In Nashville» by Nashville Scene. She offers great art classes and viewings… Must see ! Tatyana
