What a lovely place to shop! The owner is both friendly and helpful. I was looking for something that she did not have, and she looked up on the web for an item I needed, and then send me someplace that would have that. Didn’t tried to sell me something that she has in stock, but helped me find what I needed. Who does that anymore? Highly recommend Nashville trunk and bag for your next shopping need.

We had a great experience purchasing a briefcase. The owner is knowledgeable and many of the bags she carries have a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer’s defects. True, the prices are expensive, but that is because she carries that type of bag. However, her prices are probably similar compared to finding a good quality bag elsewhere. For comparison, she had the same briefcase as one we saw in Johnston and Murphy store, and there were the same price. If you are looking for a suitcase to travel a lot, she had a lot of good ideas about how to pack, and which type of bag might be the right one. We also were not pressured to buy a bag against our will!

Yes, they have nice things to buy. My mom and I bought several of them – in the week before Christmas, and some very obviously for Christmas presents – including a very nice men’s leather bag, which, unfortunately, the man didn’t like. And wanted to exchange. NOT return, «exchange” – as in, for something more expensive. As in, we were going to spend even more money in there.
But no. The saleslady took what seemed to be great delight in telling us that our sale purchase could not be exchanged. Not even to trade in for something costing MORE, such that we would spend more money. And the bonus? We were NEVER told this. And it wasn’t posted in the store. When I said this out loud, the saleslady walked away.
So: nice stuff, sure, but very bad customer service. Will not go back, and you shouldn’t either if you are purchasing for anyone other than yourself.

Need nice luggage? Have a lot of money to spend? You need to shop at Nashville Trunk & Bag. It’s the genre of shopping that I often forget about, but absolutely love. Luggage. And travel stuff – mini alarm clocks, neck pillows, luxury travel slippers and sleeping masks – I could really spend some time – and money – in here!
They carry high-​quality brands of luggage such as Johnston and Murphy, Briggs and Riley, and Hartmann – as well as a few others. All carry heavy warranties – which, these days, the way your suitcase gets manhandled at the airport, is nice to have! The helpful saleslady informed me that there are six styles of Briggs and Riley luggage that, if ANYthing happens to it – short of losing it (that would be me) then they will fix or replace it for free! Which helps explain the $ 300+ price tag for a small carry-​on.
Nashville Trunk & Bag is in a convenient location in the heart of Green Hills, and the salespeople are friendly and knowledgeable of a product that I usually don’t pay an ounce of attention to. So it’s nice having someone else around with this knowledge! Check it out if you are in the market for luggage or any travel items.
