Came here right after Winners(the bar next door). The place was pretty packed, like uncomfortable packed, like sardines. They have live music but its so crowded and hot in there its really hard to get a drink or really enjoy yourself. Good luck getting to the bathroom. We chilled outside on the patio which was alot better. Overall Winners next door is more laid, and you will have room to move and relax.

Last night was both the first and last time I will enter your establishment. A friend of mine was visiting from out of town, and I was showing him Midtown. We hadn’t been there 20 minutes and while we were sitting outside one of your other patrons nearly stuck his lit cigarette into my friend’s eye. This guy had been over-served, and even if that didn’t occur in your establishment you have a responsibility to provide for the safety of your other patrons. What is your security for, exactly? I asked the guy to be careful and maybe take a seat because he nearly burned my friend. He apologized, and since he didn’t actually burn my friend, everything was cool… no harm, no foul, no raised voices, and everyone had a smile on their face. Then some older woman walks up and gets involved for no reason and proceeds to tell me that I need to sit down, and that I «don’t want to piss off Lou.»(I find out later that Lou is one of the owners?) Suddenly this Lou person walks up(nearly as blasted as his customer that could barely stand), and gets in my face. I didn’t know who he was, and quite frankly I didn’t care. Of course when I informed your security guard that people were making a proverbial mountain out of a mole hill… that’s when I find out that this Lou guy is the owner. I can’t believe the owner took the side of the guy that was falling-down-drunk! How irresponsible could you possibly be?! Listen, I don’t care who are, if you’re a business owner you have a duty to ensure the safety of all your customers! If my friend or myself had been injured on your property by one of your other patrons because you guys over served him you would be in for a major lawsuit. I wonder if the other owner acts like this in his bar… or if he knows that his partner behave likes this… Look, I get it, people drink, but if an owner is going to come to their bar and drink(which really shouldn’t happen) they should still keep a watchful eye on their customers — and pay special attention to those who can barely speak, stand, or otherwise. I thought the name«Loser’s» was really supposed to be more of a novelty given their neighbor«Winner’s»(which I assume is owned by the same people); you guys set the bar really low, and then failed to meet even that standard.

My friends and I used to love this bar. But on Halloween night, my friend got kicked out(and by kicked out, I mean lead out of the bar in a choke hold) by the bouncer for hugging his friends… yes you read that right! He was hugging his friends and the bouncers kicked him out. As the sober one in the group, I know that what my friend did was not only okay, but did not constitute getting kicked out of a bar. While I enjoy the atmosphere, I don’t appreciate how they treat their customers!

I went in after a concert knowing that it was a Hotspot in nashville but the security guard was so rude that I will never go back! I was waiting at the bar for 10 minutes to close my tab when the security guard asked if I had closed my tab. I responded that I had been waiting 10 minutes to do so. He responded by telling the bartenders, «can you close her tab, so she stops running her mouth»…that was so rude and uncalled for that I will never go back. I’m also a manager at another bar in nashville and very respectful of anyone in the food/bar industry and I was so shocked by the blatant disrespect of a customer that I felt the need to write a review. I will be calling tomorrow to talk to a manager.

PREGNANTWONENKEEPOUT! I went there today for the Lee Brice concert which was a St. Jude fundraiser. However, this event was oversold by at least 1,000 people. I am pregnant so I could not risk being plowed over or elbowed by any of the thousands of people there. I approached the manager, Barry, to inquire about BUYING a VIP wristband so I could enjoy the show in a less congested area. He told me there were no wristbands left and the only way to get one was«to know someone»(interesting because the group of girls in front of us got one after receiving a kiss from one of Barry’s security guys). We explained my situation to which he replied, «if you don’t like it you can get the F@$& out!» Feeling very disrespected we left, just in time to get a great view of the show from a back alley! Due to Barry’s ignorance we even got pictures with Lee Brice and some other band members! Don’t waste your time with this place or that horrible, horrible man who has no regard for anyone’s safety.

Nice, quaint, local establishment. The food was phenomenal. A friend ordered the Johnny cash burger and I tried a bite, I didn’t want to give the burger back that’s how good it was. It was also a great place to hear all the local artists you’ve never heard of. One of the regulars was picking the music to play and he kept selecting local/never heard of musicians. It was awesome to hear things that aren’t on the radio.

Every time I come to this place I am reminded of why I hate it. The band is good although you can find great all over Nashville. Other than that the bouncers, other staff, mostly dudes working there are totally overloaded with testosterone and on a complete power trip 365 days a year. They are rude a-holes, no other way to put it. And there are NORESTROOMS! Like one guy and one gal toilet for a gazillion people. I’ve lived in Nashville all my life and for years this place has been the same.

I love me a good dive bar, but this place had the characters of a dive bar without the charm of a good dive bar. The place was crawling with creepy dudes. It was hard to navigate to the bathrooms. Even with a band playing, it was hard hear them. Seating was inadequate. Alcohol prices were some of the better ones I’d seen in Nashville which was about it’s only redeeming quality.

Hit them up the night before the CMA’s and Tracy Lawrence was performing on stage in the courtyard, and with NOCOVER. Crowd was made up of people from diverse backgrounds and wide array of ages. Staff was a little robotic but efficient. Carding my 60 year old dad(think TN has some weird laws about IDing people though). Drinks were reasonably priced. More bars in the area make it a great place to bar hop.

I read a review before I came here, it said the bartenders were standing around drinking and they couldn’t get a drink. I always think that’s some high maintenance cry baby but in this case they were absolutely right. I am by myself, sat at the bar and opened a tab. I got my first drink right away but waited for 15 minutes while the staff did shots and chatted with the regulars. Couldn’t get my check fast enough. For the record, there were 5 bartenders and about 12 patrons. Went next door to winners, 2 bartenders and 10 patrons and the service was excellent.

This bar is terrible. Would not recommend at all. I was with a bachelorette party and we went in and headed to the bar to order a bunch of beers and I went over to a table to be friendly and say hello. I was immediately told to «buy my own drinks» and was then told that I obviously went to a community college. We then found out that that was the owner of the establishment. He then kicked us out for no good reason, save that a friend confronted him for his rudeness. The owner is a mysoginist who has no care for business that comes into his bar.

Very horrible service. Music was way to loud and not very friendly people who work there. Location is within plenty of hotels but not worth the crowd. Will check out other nearby places next time I’m in town.

So much fun! Of all the bars we visited on my bachelorette party in Nashville, this was our favorite! Losers is conveniently located near the great hotel we stayed at — The Hutton. We could not resist the funny name and had such a fun night at Losers until last call. We asked locals there how the bar next door named, Winners, compared and everyone told us that Losers is better(which is ironic!). Live music played almost all night and we danced and sang(and maybe sweated a little bit since it was hot indoors and out). We saw guys do funny things like a guy drink a can of beer through the cloth of his shirt and it was all super entertaining and a great first night of our weekend trip!

I have never had a bad time at Losers. This is a ok place to grab a drink and enjoy a band. The service is a problem. They have two bars and it nearly doesn’t accommodate for the crowds it gets. Likes its neighbors Winners, Losers is where you tend is see the younger crowd. It gets uncomfortably crowded on most weekends. The back room has a shuffle board and golden tee machine. Another problem with this establishment is their bathroom situation. I still don’t understand why the younger Nashville crowd flocks here because it isn’t very special. If I were to venture to the Midtown area I would rather frequent to Rebar if anything…

Noisy, cheap… it’s a recipe for a dive… almost a caricature of one. Makes you think it’s all on purpose. The juke box was awful though… just awful. Even the bartender said it was bad… skip it… they will have plenty of other people coming in.

Man, with a name like Losers, how could you possibly go wrong. I’m really unsure why this place is classified as a dive bar… its across from a Chuy’s and packed. Offering cheap PBRs does not define you as a dive bar. Well, at least to me. The place is packed. At one point, you just stop noticing girls wearing veils, sashes and having someone randomly approach you to do the chicken dance around you is just your norm. Crowd is definitely on the younger side. As in… its 10:30 and you’re starting to consider leaving to go out in the next hour. not already comfortably in bed checking the latest on fox/npr/cnn. But, hey, they had a great covered patio, it was fun, and Ill be back. I didn’t actually have to brave the lines for the bar or bathroom but word is. its vicious. Well on a Saturday night at least. Ladies — go to the bathroom next door.

May 18th, Sunday, Tony and I decided to Urban Hike today again in Nashville. So, after we made a couple stops and we ended up here… Loser’s Bar and Grill on the West Side off Broadway near Vanderbilt University. It is a Sunday and about 11am. so its not really crowded… In fact, we were the first people there. Our bartender, Peyton, introduced herself. She is really lovely and so friendly. Tony ordered a PBR and I got a soda… only $ 3 for both with taxes… great bargain!!! We sat at the very nice wooden bar that is shiny gloss poly covering. the bar is really nice. The bar is a little dark but I really like that. The music was 80’s rock, which we loved so very much. we are a fan of that venue of music. This place is larger outside than inside. It has a large patio area that is enclosed but the bar inside is much smaller, but that is okay. The outside is really nice area. I would definitely come here again. Peyton never offered us any food so, I guess they don’t cook here, but again OKAY with me. if I came here it would be to drink only anyway and enjoy some music. I really liked this spot and I would go here again. The prices were right, staff friendly and she is in a band. We asked if she was playing anywhere currently and she said she wasn’t …but she is such a beautiful lady with a great personality and speaking voice. She sings Rock so Tony and I would definitely like to hear her perform. We made a new friend today,…thanks Peyton for making us feel like we were back home… We both highly recommend this little bar to enjoy yourself alone or with some friends.

I did like this place, but there was a lot going on — here is the breakdown: LIVEMUSIC — too small of a place for a five piece band — gets really loud. Uncle Kracker popped in tonight and did a little set impromptu style — why is he famous again? he sucked and he was drunk — no wonder he was at Losers. GETTING A BEER — hard to get passed all of the 20 yr olds protecting their underage drinking spot at the bar from the friend bartenders. BATHROOMS — one word — gross! DRUNKS — they are everywhere — almost saw two fights and several people got kicked out. THEPEOPLE — young crowd with plenty of hot chicks and drunks, be prepared if you are over 35, like me, you will feel old as hell. Have fun!

It’s a common rule of thumb: you get what you pay for. Expect nothing more from Losers.(And feel free to judge this book by its cover) Maybe it has dive-bar-charm, maybe it is the local meet up for 40+ unemployed, divorced men, but once thing is for sure: I’m not positive why my friends and I continue to go back here. We went earlier on a Friday and had no problem finding a place to sit and talk. We’ve been here multiple times and have consistently found the bartenders to be fairly apathetic. If you want them to change the channel to your favorite sporting event, be prepared to wait 20 – 30 minutes and to remind them 4 – 5 times. But hey, you can’t beat drinks that cost less than $ 2. I’ll likely be back next weekend. Pro tip: there is another bathroom in the back of the bar. Use that one instead of waiting in line for the john in the main bar area.
