This is a spot that is truly authentic Mexican. From everything from the hand made corn tortillas to the delicious green sauce, it is hard to go wrong with any menu choice at Las Cazuelas. Abogado Sean Lewis — Abogado de inmigracion /Immigration Attorney.

I got the taco salad which was delicious. Really liked the whole décor and seating which I took photos of. Great environment. Went with my friends who split the fajitas which were also good. Cheese dip is delicious. The only complaint is the service was slow and we were one of the first ones in the door and there weren’t many people there. You’d think the service would be faster then.

I’ve eaten here 3 times. It’s an OK chips & salsa type Mexican restaurant for most people’s tastes, a slight cut above the local chains(El Ranchero, La Hacienda, Las Palmas). They do have some breakfast items such as Huevos Rancheros and Huevos Divorciados. Food is on the bland side, but I think that’s considered a good thing in Nashville. :-)

Good spot stopped in unplanned was surprised on entry has a nicer set up inside better than expected they also have a lot of grill and seafood options had the Milanesa thin fried beef 1st time trying it and was impressed, they also passed the chips and salsa test Which is important not great salsa but good enough

I love this place. The vibe feels authentic, and the food is a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of the more«American-ized» Mexican restaurants in town. The staff was courteous and timely, the wait was short and my meal was genuinely very good. I got a burrito, it was a very large portion but I didn’t feel sick after eating every last bite! Only four stars because it hasn’t quite blown me away yet, but it’s a very good, reasonably priced place to eat.

Las Cazuelas is great for its 2-for-1 margarita specials on Tuesdays, and the margaritas are pretty cheap to begin with($ 5 each). Also, Las Cazuelas is great for large groups, especially in its more private annex towards the back. You can also see a bunch of regulars at the bar watching the fútbol games, so this is a great place to watch FIFA. I definitely recommend the tacos auténticos here, and I rank their tacos higher than the more hipster Local Taco. Their tacos are just as tacos auténticos should be: simple, flavorful, and only sparsely dressed-up to highlight the taste of its ingredients. Otherwise, I am not a huge fan of their food. The quality is pretty mediocre even on the scale of cheap Mexican food, which is said because Las Cazuelas honestly tries to be authentic in its offerings. I don’t think I would ever dare to eat anything seafood in this place, especially not the oysters on the menu. Also, the taco salad is more of a taco soup with its watered down dressing. If you must have dessert, go for the churros which are a pretty good deal, but stay away from the underwhelming flan and sopapillas. All-in-all, come for the cheap margaritas and the cheap food. If you know even a little bit of Spanish, you would be better off since the waitstaff seems to have a revolving door.

Awesome Mexican food and the Sangria is delish… We had the tacos al carbon and pollo loco, guacamole was fresh. Prices are reasonable.

Horrible service. The waitress only paid attention to tables with men. Never asked if we wanted refills of drinks. The only time she came back to our table after ordering, she cleared our plates without asking if we were finished with our meal. We waited 15 minutes before finding her to bring us our check. She never did. We sought out the manager and while waiting for him she gave us our check. We spoke to the manager after paying the check and he said he would ‘talk to her’! We will never go back!

This place was very good. We got the carnitas«tacos autenticos» and the meat was tender and it was generous portions. The prices were very reasonable. They also had a free salsa bar.(We went on a Saturday for lunch) We will definitely be back!

I just left this place! Had ceviche. Was horrible and I found a bug in my food. My waitress was too busy flirting with all the men at the bar. Had to wait 15 minutes for her to bring my drink that was warming at the bar. Even caught the bar tender drinking out of one of the patrons drinks. My waitress brought my check and never return for payment. Worse service I’ve ever received. I’ll never return to this hell!

Moving from the land of tacos(San Diego) to Nashville was like loosing a piece of my soul. For the first time in my young life I realized that not everyone has a delicious taco shop within walking distance of their home, work, school, salon, dentist, grocery store, gas station, hardware store… Finding Las Cazuelas was like stealing a small piece of my sad, lost soul back. Great guacamole, flavorful salsa, giant margaritas and bomb tacos all complete with slow service in a sketch strip mall. Why hello heaven, I sure did miss you. The place is much larger than it looks from the outside. Tacos authenticos, guacamole, taquitos & the mixed meat quesadilla are my favorites. Order a margarita and have a DD at the ready as they do not skimp on booze.

This place is pretty authentic. Complete with sunday live music. I am typically the only white guy in the place– how can you not love that. The pitcher’s of margarita are strong and tall.

In town from California due my father being in hospital across the street from this place. The absolute worst Mexican food and margarita I have ever digested. My drink came from a lemonade fountain looking machine. The beans were spoiled. Margaritas have no liquor and if you want liquor pay extra 7 dollars. The burrito was ok. The chips and salsa were good. The service stunk. I am on a airplane twice a week and always eat Mexican food. After 27 years of flying I have found the absolute worst Mexican food.

The food is quite good. The best caldo de res(my husband swears) and the best flan(I swear) in town. They have horchata. I have to mention that because many Mexican restaurants don’t have it(weird, I know). The only bad thing in here is service. And they don’t have hot tea. They also have mexican ranchera music playing and karaōke on week end nights. I hate that, so I avoid coming at that time. By the way, caldo de res is on week ends only. Also, it’s a place to go if you want to watch a soccer game in a crowd. They have a projector tv for that.

With all of the choices for Mexican food along Nolensville Road, and basing this off of the ridiculous amount of Mexican restaurants I frequent in order to fulfill my south-of-the-border cravings, I’m led to knock two stars off of my Laz Cazuelas experience due to things I should be able to expect: –1 star: Above average prices. One of the best things about Mexican food is how affordable it is. If you’re going to charge more, you better be making something special that sets you apart. While your steak with verde salsa dish($ 13) was delicious, canned refried beans and bland rice do not justify the cost. –2 stars: Terrible service. Not friendly, not attentive, and apparently not fond of giving refills or delivering the check less than 10 minutes after the meal is finished. There were at least 4 servers working and only about 10 tables filled in the whole restaurant, so I don’t think I’m being unreasonable with my expectation of something resembling courtesy. BUT I’ll give one on those stars back for having above average salsa and a diverse menu including more traditional dishes. Would I go back? Maybe, but probably only for lunch.

Las Cazuelas is right by the park where I play softball. It’s a quick, affordable spot to grab a bite when coming home after my games. From the outside, it is a bit sketchy. The lot is busted up and there are random people just milling around everywhere. I’d recommend the buddy system. Still, the inside is not bad. They have a decent sized bar area and there is a ton of seating. It’s quite nice. I’ve been here three times and the food is weak. It’s hard to mess up tortillas with meat, cheese, and beans, but they get close. On my last visit, my wife ordered a cheese burrito with red sauce. She basically got a tortilla that was covered in cheese dip. I had the nachos and they were pretty good. One item did make me a bit nervous. We found part of a chip in the salsa. Are they reusing salsa from other tables? Don’t think about it. People watching here is interesting. Nolensville Road has quite a culture and it it is on display in full effect at the little Mexican joint. Las Cazuelas is ok. It’s not the greatest Mexican spot around, but it will do the job in a pinch. I generally like all non-chain Mexican restaurants about the same, but this one is a notch below most.

2 stars for the poor customer service. Waiter forgot to bring us utensils and we waited for about 10 minutes before she came by again. And they only brought one of the dishes out so we had to wait for another 15 minutes before we could eat. To top it off, who asks if we want more chips and salsa, but then only brings the chips and leaves the salsa bowl empty? Did we have to clarify that? At a Mexican restaurant?! Food was standard Mexican fare. Plenty of other Mexican restaurants in the area so consider another option.
