I give very few things one star… if there were a no star option this would be it. I went out for a friend’s bday. To start Virago’s, then Whiskey Kitchen, and then… someone…who remain namesless choose La Bamba. I had never been before and these are«nice» ladies so might say«fancy» so I had no idea what I was in for at all! It’s nearly 2 am and we pull up to this dark sketchy parking lot and go in. Anywhere that you are searched for weapons is not a place you should patron. period! We go in… there is all of 10 ppl of in the place. Not so pretty people either. The DJ left much to be desired. It was like he just started his iPod at 2002 and just let it play. We make our way out, ending 90% fun evening until this place and some rude guy grabs at my hands and tries to whisper something to me with my HUSBAND standing right next to me. you crazy?! I could not help but let a huge«EWWWW» escape my lips while some girls laughs across the bar. Never Never Never go to this place. ever!

Horrible service and worse food at outrageous prices. This dive used to be the Fifth Quarter steak house and obviously has been boarded up for years. It’s musty and old with half Spanish décor and half road house feel. It’s huge inside while three large dining areas. There are 4 seemingly new pool tables. The menu is limited. I got a beef dish. The meat was very dry with a gross home made brisket type sauce on it. Bland white rice, coffee flavored black beans, some sort of pico slaw, and… a radish? $ 12 My wife got chicken nachos. Can’t screw that up right? Wrong! Sam’s club tortillas with melted American cheese and dried crunchy chicken. We had to ask 3 times for sour cream and quacamole. The quacamole was BROWN through & through, but hey… the sour cream hadn’t expired yet. $ 6 Our friend got the cheese enchiladas. Again smothered in gross cheese, not good. But worse was the side of «yellow» rice. Think of white rice with a few chicken bullion cubes… you got it. $ 12. Then we washed it all down with two for one drinks. It’s a darn good thing too, because if I would have paid the normal $ 4 per bud light bottle, I think I would have screamed. Especially in this part of town. My wife’s 8 oz margarita would have been $ 5.50 if it wasn’t 2 – 1. I wish we had some good restaurants in this part of town, but this isn’t one. Horrible
