Kernels Gourmet Popcorn

The best popcorn in east Nashville all of Nashville they keep Nashville popping. What I really love is the hot hot popcorn the hot popcorn is like princes chicken.

This place came to mind when I needed a snack to share at a «Back to the Future» trilogy party on that fateful day, October 21, 2015. Now «the future» is the past! Whoa. =|
Anyway, had seen the shop and wanted to try it. Honestly, was surprised to see an actual popcorn shop in business nowhere near tourist traffic. Makes sense, though, cuz it’s great! The staff are all family, I think, and they’re really friendly. The caramel and cheddar «Music City» mix I got was fresh, even though it was closing time! No stale popcorn here. It was so good — a hit at the party.
It’s a little pricey for a snack that gets gobbled up so quickly, but it’s totally worth it! It’s fresh and gourmet and I like the idea of supporting a small family business in my neighborhood. I hope more pop up! (See what I did there? XP) I’m definitely going back soon for a bag of the «Frosty» flavor I sampled. Cinnamon and sugar glazed — tasted like a cinnamon roll!

This place is the best. The folks who work here are super nice, willing to let you try any flavor and mix any combo that you want, and you’ll sometimes come away with some free goodies. The cheddar popcorn is better than any big box brand and you can feel good supporting local, family-​run business in Nashville.

i come to nashville twice a year and no trip is complete without visiting Kernels. The staff is very kind and welcoming and the variety of flavors is great. i don’t even like popcorn! that’s how good this stuff is. i always get a bag or 2 to bring home and share with my friends. as i type there’s a bag of vanilla cinnamon, caramel and chocolate drizzle sitting on the table in front of me.

The popcorn was great and the guy at the counter was super friendly. The Eastside mix rules, but the white cheddar and vanilla we tried were also really good. Good size selection too. You can get a small bag to a 5 gallon tin. Great place. I’ll be back for sure.

I had my doubts about a popcorn only shop. I like popcorn, but I don’t necessarily love popcorn or eat it very often. That however may change. This place is sinfully good. I’ve now had both flavors of cheese and a variety of the caramel options. By far the flavor not to miss is the vanilla cinnamon. Be warned! It’s highly addictive.
The staff is warm and welcoming and is very interested in letting you try the flavors.

You must take time out of your day for an excellent popcorn experience! The staff is great at helping you decide what flavors you may enjoy. Spread the word about a delicious snack that will put a little pop in your day!!!

I found out about Kernels from Nashville Guru. I try to stay informed about new businesses in Nashville. I stopped by and was not disappointed! They offer both sweet and savory flavors. They also let you sample them if you like. Decisions, decisions! I decided to try the Eastside Mix and the Frosty. Both were great, but the Frosty is pretty awesome! I ended up going back the very next week for more. The BBQ cheddar is another good one. So far I haven’t had anything I don’t like. I think this might be my new spot for my weekly cheat treat!

Hands down, the best ever! REAL popcorn lovers will surely know the difference. I curiously tried a certain kiosk in OpryMills… they really oughta shut down! I’m just sayin’!!!

Ok, you HAVE to try a mix of caramel and frosted. It is divine. And don’t plan on sharing it with anyone.

I heard about Kernels today and had to stop in. Wow!
We were traveling north on Gallatin Pike and it was a little hairy getting into the parking lot. It would have been much easier had we been traveling south, but it was worth the hassle of getting turned around.
If you like gourmet and/​or flavored popcorn, and I do, you are going to love this place! We went in with another couple and the four of us left with 5 different flavors. They will let you sample all pf their flavors before you ever make a decision. Honestly, I would have bought more but you never know how well fresh popcorn will keep.
Caramel popcorn was my number one agenda, and although I bought a bag of caramel, they have a flavor called «Frosty» that’s sin in a bag!
This popcorn is AMAZING!!!
