3.5 I think this club is closed — and that’s too bad. With the legion of honky tonks taking up real estate on Lower Broad, it was nice to have something different on the strip. Not only that, but to have a non-country dance club in the midst of a high-traffic tourist destination just makes good business sense. It attracts a different clientele. It gives out-of-towners who don’t want the boot scootin’ boogie experience something to do that keeps them Downtown and spending money. And it provides locals burnt out on tourist yee-haws another reason to be part of the city in which they live. I will admit to being Alice-in-Wonderland shocked walking around Karma. Hip-hop on Broadway? Check. Change-ups like you’d hear in actual, real life east coast clubs? Check.(Honestly) More African-American and Latin folks than I’d ever seen at one place at a Downtown establishment? Check. Downtown needs a non-country dance club. It just makes sense. Let’s hope a developer has one on the way.

While I do not frequent night clubs, I do like to have a good time out with friends once in a while. Karma is kind of hard to find initially because the entrance on 3rd Ave S is around the corner from their physical address on Broadway. There was no cover the night I went and it was pretty empty for a Friday night. The music was good and it was easy to order drinks. You would think more people would go here.

I’m not your frequent night clubber, but I do like to cut a rug from time to time. I like Karma because it’s connected to Tequila Cowboy(formerly known as Cadillac Ranch). You can mingle in between both bars and come and go as you please. You can usually swing a cheaper cover too if you enter through TC. The music is typically mixes of the old and new, the inside is swank and the drinks are good… expensive, but good. All in all, if you are looking for a fun place to go dance that’s close to Broadway then Karma has you covered.

This place is just ok. Plenty of places better to party in nashville. Spins the best music than any other place from 6th to 1st ave.

The place looks great and drink prices are very good and well made and if you go into it empty, you would think that it would have a great atmosphere when alot of people are there. It depends on what atmosphere you want. About half the people are wearing mma/affliction/Brofiti and being thug wannabes. Theres nothing wrong with that, just not my thing. If you want a good place to dance without having to deal with as much Affliction and thug wannabes, go to MAI.

If you are looking for a good club in the Nashville area, I would recommend Karma. The décor is very art deco. There are two bars, one mainly used for the VIP section, which is by far, the classiest I have seen in the Nashville area. They always have shot specials and interesting events and one of the only bars in Nashville that has gogo dancers. Souri is one of those owners who is always there working his ass off and is very generous and loved. They always have a live DJ and constantly are having new ideas and events that get people in the door. The lay out rocks but bewarned it gets very crowded. It is also a favorite hot spot for the Titans Players – Vince Young is a regular and with the season he had, I am sure you will see him there!
