I’m looking for a china buffet. Nothing too crazy and certainly nothing to break the bank. I ended up at Jani’s in search of said piece and walked away disappointed. The pieces were lovely, just not many in number. For being such a huge space I don’t know how they stay in business with just two honest rooms of furniture interspersed with chotchkies. Sad day.

The place is so fun to have a look around at. I really couldn’t care less about furniture, I couldn’t afford either way. And honestly, nothing stuck out. But things cycle. I did enjoy the things they had behind glass in the main room, which included some old vintage toys, some I remembered even from my childhood.(Good God am I really that old?) Several rooms were dedicated to decades past, and there was a(pretty much) mint condition television that looked like something out of the twilight zone. I don’t think you could watch tv on it anymore even if you found a way to fix it(digital upgrade anybody?). There were some older clothes, which were fun to look though. The building is big and spacious though. There’s plenty of room to move around, and there can be more than one customer in the store without it bringing the place to a standstill, which was nice. Super nice even!

Jani’s Antique Mall is a brand new antiques mall opening in the old space that once was a Masonry building. The space is sprawling and huge. They will eventually have about 75 dealers showing at the antique mall. Currently they have about half that on display. The dealers are just starting to get setup in the space. The dealers showing now have furniture galore including several dressers, buffet boards, and dining tables. I saw one very long sofa, it was gorgeous and about $ 5,000.00. Since this used to be a masonry they have large factory style windows that let in a lot of light, this is unusual for any mall, so the air feels a little fresher. You can stroll through the room and enjoy the booths without feeling like you got lost in a junk yard. Make a visit to Jani’s Antique Mall, especially over the next few months as they grow!
