This place is amazing! Great service, great food, and ok prices! The chicken fajitas were fantastic but so hot I burnt my tongue. The enchiladas and chimichanga were out of this world!!! However it was a little chilly. Otherwise I give this place 5 stars from the authentic décor to the service, my new favorite Mexican restaurant!

Service was subpar. Food was run of the mill. Margarita was brown? We sent it back, and they still charged us for it.

This is the best Mexican food I’ve had since I left Odessa, Texas. I had the Chile Releno plate and it was awesome. The customer service and speed was on point as well. Very reasonable pricing.

Great tasty food, cold ass beer, fast friendly service & very reasonable. Especially the lunch specials!!! Love going there, wish they were closer to the Gulch. You won’t leave hungry !! Best Mexican food we’ve found here in our 3 years living in Nashville.

A little above the average Americanize Mexican restaurant in Nashville. The carnitas were very good.

Solid traditional combo plates, good chunky house salsa with a nice selection of bottled hot sauces. It’s kind of a hole in the wall but it’s clean & has a nice quiet atmosphere. Definitely coming back

When I was here it was not busy at all and therefore the service was excellent. I got a combo plate with a hard taco, burrito and a tamale. Everything was excellent, the beer was ice cold and all at a very reasonable price. I will definitely eat here again if I am ever in the area.

Food was below average. Service was slow and waiter was extremely rude, didn’t even ask how things were at any time during the night. Never would I go back or recommend to anyone.

So. Freakin’. Good. This is my absolute favorite Mexican place in Nashville. My husband and I go here all the time. I usually get the Chiles Rellenos & he usually gets the Chimichangas Especiales. The food is plentiful and cooked correctly. What I really like about the chiles is they come stuffed with cheese(no meat), lightly fried with salsa roja on top. It’s the way to go. Of course, there’s free chips & salsa. Service is good and they have pretty good drink specials, too. Donelson is pretty quiet for the most part so they are not open that late. A small price to pay, in my opinion. Getting take out? I’m pretty sure they are the only Mexican restaurant around that will still hook you up with free chips & salsa on a to-go order. How cool is that? They usually include 1 bag of chips &1 cup of salsa per entrée. I dig it. Affordable as you’d expect from a place like this. Most entrees run you $ 8-$ 10. Check it out.

This place has pretty good authentic Mexican food. They give you plenty of chips and salsa for free to start and the prices are very reasonable. I had the soft tacos and they were almost as good as tacos I had in Guatemala, served very simple with meat, cilantro and onions. And it was great that they had non Mexican meals for kids(chicken nuggets and cheeseburger).

Definitely better than the run of the mill Mexican places that seem to be co oped. The Chili Relleno was delicious. A nice light batter. The tacos de carne asada were good. Mexican style with onions and cilantro. 3″ corn tortilla shells doubled. It looks like they can handle a crowd. The fun part for me is that President Obama stopped in for a to go order last week! If its good enough for the POTUS its good enough for me.

Typical east coast Mexican Restaurant with one exception, above average food, way above. I perused the menu till I stumbled upon the Carnitas and I love Carnitas also Carne Adovada when I can get it. They were done very well with just the right amount of spices and very tender and served with some perfectly done corn tortillas, the dish was succulent and the sides of refried beans and rice were perfect which isn’t hard to do but I’ve been to many«Mexican» joints that just can’t do rice and beans right. Served with Lettuce, tomatoes and big dollop of real tasty Guacamole for a truly memorable dinner. Now the best part, with Ice Tea it was all under $ 10! Mexican food is not expensive food to make or prepare and to see a restaurant do it right for a decent price with great service is a rarity. Way recommended!

Small, unassuming authentic Mexican restaurant and food, in a quite strip center. If you stay, or have reason to be near the airport, this is a great find. VERY reasonably priced. Seriously the food was really great. I have had many great carnitas, including some of the best at Carnitas in Tijuana across from Caliente, but these May be the best I have ever had.

Genuinely inauthentic mexican food that’s great. The $ 5.99 lunch special of two burritos, one beef and one chicken, both smoothed in queso, way too large to eat in one sitting but re-heats well makes it worth occasionally getting panhandled in the parking lot.

Typical delicious Mexican cuisine with a very friendly staff. The homeless woman outside kinda turned me off a bit. The meal was great during our brief stay in Nashville!

Great service, good food, the homeless person was still sitting outside… Chips were good, not too salty, and the queso was great as was the salsa. Per my daughter, the fish tacos were filling. Tajitas were average, and the t-bone was ok, they were out of Carnitas:(

I first discovered this place when I worked in a call center behind it. It has by far been my favorite Mexican restaurant. I always order their Shredded Chicken Nachos. Their chicken is never dried out. They give you a lot of food. I also love their tortilla chips & salsa. There’s is way better than las palmas, and all the other chain Mexican restaurants.

Wow! I know there’s some hate going on here but I’ve enjoyed the place on the handful of visits I’ve made during my travels to Nashville. Lets just stick to the most recent visit. Feeling hungry I went all out and ordered the Jalisco’s Tacos with one chicken, one pork, and one steak. They were served in the traditional style of two corn tortillas with onion, cilantro and a lime. All three were very tasty. I also included a sliced avocado which to my surprise was a whole avocado! Also had a side of beans and rice which were pretty standard. The best thing was a little tip from the Unilocal photos, I ordered the Chili Toreados. These beautiful jalapeño’s that are split on one end, deep fried and dusted with chili powder! Holy cow they were amazing!!! They also have a good bottled beer selection of some Mexican favorites as well as the standard draft fare.
