This is a fascinating grocery store jammed full of mostly Indian food, with lots of ingredients to make your own. I come here a few times a year and get a couple bags of prepackaged meals. The prices are reasonable — 10 oz. frozen dinners ranged from $ 2.99 and up. Something that looked like Hot Pockets was $ 2.49. And I always try the European candy up front. This time I tried a Kit Kat bar from Germany. You have to watch the«Best By» dates. Some dates were six months or a year ago. And some foods tell you when they were packaged instead. Are Indian ramen noodles good two years after they were packaged? I’m not going to try it.

This shop/grocery store has a variety if Indian and southern Asian foods, spices, household, and personal items. I was especially pleased to see all kinds of dried legumes and pre-packaged food choices. However, I made the mistake of not checking the expiration dates on a couple of my items. The Masala Papad had an August 2013 date! Also examine packaging carefully. Some merchandise has been handled roughly or has been sitting on the shelf too long. The plastic seams were split or torn. If I had lived closer to Nashville, I would have returned most of what I purchased. Just call me sadder but wiser.
