I’ve just moved here from Scotland and didn’t know where to find a good hairdresser, thanks to Unilocal I found the Imagine Design Team.
What a friendly welcome I got from Gene who set me up with an appointment with Shelby.
I was very nervous as I’ve had the same hairdresser for over 20 years but Shelby very quickly put me at my ease, she was lovely and very professional. My hair had grown very long and thick but Shelby made a beautiful job of cutting it into a short bob, it felt fabulous and so did I!
Thank you Shelby, I really enjoyed myself and will definitely be back to get my hair done again and would be delighted to recommend this salon to anyone xx

I found the best kept secret in Berry Hill, no wait that would be the best kept secret in Nashville! I had extremely long hair and needed a small change. Haley knew exactly what to do to create a shorter healthy looking hair cut for me! The salon is very nice, reasonable in price and the people are great! I highly recommend!!!

Haley gave me exactly what I was looking for — warm, golden highlights to brighten my winter hair. The salon is adorable, fairly priced and welcoming. Relying on Unilocal for recommendations for a salon in a city I’ve never visited before may seem reckless, but the reviews here were right on. Pretty hair is the perfect souvenir from a great girls’ getaway!

Today I visited Imagine Design Team for the fist time.
It was so easy to get scheduled — late in the evening I just got the idea to ‘have a haircut tomorrow or this week’ and Unilocal said that the highest rated team is not far from my house. I decided to try and sent an appointment request via web-​site as it was too late to give a call. The reply came in two minutes with options for this week and we agreed on the date and time that was most convenient for me.
I hate to be late but I was. While Shawn was so friendly and she did a great job. Soon I left with a wonderful hair style and in a perfect mood. Thank you, Shawn. I will come back for sure!

I’ve known the owner, Amber, for about 15 years but just finally made my way to her salon — the place was popping! Busy and full of loving talent, clients and stylists clearly behaving as friends, all sorts of creative colors and cuts during the many hours that I was there. Clients looked happy and stylists looked like they were having a ball doing their job *and* they had cute hair themselves! (imho, if stylists have bad hair, it’s usually a bad omen of what’s to come for you at a salon). Chilled with a glass of wine while people-​watching and perusing the style books. Amber took the time to consult about my hair & what would look good with my hair texture, face shape, coloring, etc. Once we nailed that down, she started her mixing magic and turned my very brunette hair to a warm blonde («tan caramel» was her term). Wash, cut, style, discussion of how I can style at home, no pushing of product, no rushing, no pressure of any kind — all was super professional and perfect. Lots of compliments for me the next day (and sharing of Amber’s contact info) so maybe additional people will be heading her way, ready to make a new friend.

This is a great salon. Ive had my hair messed up several times, but this place did a great job cutting my hair. I love it.

I’ve always been a bit salon-​phobic, but after getting at-​home color on my bathroom counter, I decided it was finally time to see a professional. I’m so glad I did! This is the cutest salon, and Kelly is so sweet and talented. My hair looks better than it ever has. Plus, you can’t beat the spa-​like, relaxing shampoos. i feel very comfortable at this salon and highly recommend for a great experience and fantastic hair!

Haley is awesome… she does a great job with my hair every time. I have been in Nashville for nearly 6 years and for the first 4 I bounced around from salon to salon because I couldn’t find someone who I liked as a stylist and a person. She is not only talented she also has a great personality.

SO happy with my experience at Imagine Design Team! Shelby gave me a cut and ombré today and I’m thrilled with it! She was super easy to talk to, absolutely understood what I wanted, and answered any questions that I had. I love the fact that this salon used to be a house and was converted — it has such a homey/​calming feel to it! This was my first time here today and I will DEFINITELY be coming back — Thank you Shelby, you rock!!!

I went in a little over a month ago for a highlight with Shawn. She did a great job — coming from out of state, I think i found my Nashville salon! Will be scheduling a follow up soon :)

What a relaxing experience! Just moved from Chicago and was in need of a haircut STAT! Had no problem making an appointment. Everyone was super welcoming and Haley was very helpful. She knew exactly how to cut my hair after I told her what I was looking for! Will be coming back soon :)

Haley did an amazing job! I told her I wanted to go short and do whatever she wanted. She is a true artist!

After a few disasters with other salons, my hair was pretty fried. I chose this place because of the great reviews and completely agree that this place is fantastic. I had Shelby, who was super sweet and took my hair from awful to excellent. She took the time to listen to what I wanted, asked about previous things I had done to my hair to know what I was looking for, and she made the experience relaxing and easy. My hair feels soooo soft, looks shiny, bright, and the cut was absolutely perfect, which I’ve never truly felt after a cut. When we talked about how I style my hair, I told her I liked beach waves but wasn’t that great at it. She even took some time to show me how to get them right.
I’ve been in Nashville almost 2 years and hadn’t found a great place. I have officially found my spot and new stylist.

Haley makes it happen. I was lucky to get a spot today just walking in and she took care of me like usual.
She knows her job and is very skilled at it.
If you are new to town or just looking for someone new then call for Haley, she won’t disappoint!

Ask for Haley. My hair ended up looking exactly like my reference pictures. If you want an undercut or a sidecut, go to her. I don’t think I’ve ever been so stoked about a haircut.
The hours are great and the salon atmosphere was laid back but classy.

I had the best experience with the Imagine Design Team. As a new Nashvillian, I had some major reservations about trying out a new salon, but Haley was absolutely incredible. I am in love with my new cut and I can’t believe how easy it is to style. I’m already on the books for my next appointment! :)

I am so excited that I have found a hair stylist! Haley did my hair today and did a fantastic job! I got a color and cut and style and I love it!
I usually dread going in and getting my hair done. She didn’t turn my hair purple (which has happened several times at past hair salons) and she was very personable. The best part is that she had me in and out in under 2 hours!!! That’s the thing I hate the most about getting my hair done, the time commitment.
The salon itself is stylishly decorated and a beverage was offered as soon as I walked in the salon.

I couldn’t ask for a better cut and color than what I’ve had since seeing Shelby Suter. She understands the importance of listening to her client and giving them a style that works with their lifestyle. My hair has never looked better! Its healthy, shiny and even when I don’t spend much time on it, it looks great! That’s the beauty of a great cut. My highlights look natural and I feel great.
I can’t say enough great things about Shelby, easy going, laid back and extremely knowledgeable about her craft and what will work for you and your hair type. Ask for her-​you won’t regret it.
While you’re there, request that Gene shampoo your hair. He’s the best. You just a might fall in love, or at the very least, fall asleep. Magic hands! Totally worth the extra tip! Trust me.

I refuse to let anyone cut or color my hair besides Haley Young. She is the first hair stylist I’ve ever worked with that actually makes my hair look like the pictures I bring in as inspiration. She is so easy to talk to and has gone out of her way on multiple occasions to fit me in her busy schedule-​even met me at the salon on her off day once when I needed styling for a last minute event I was invited to. As a wedding photographer I started to recommend her to my brides for hair/​makeup and she hasn’t disappointed once. She makes my job easier by making my clients look their best. Bottom line: book her now, thank me later.
