Great Mediterranean food! I had the lamb shank and beef kabob combo. The lamb is falling off the bone and delicious. The beef was vey flavorful and the rice is perfect.

We must have come on a bad day. Even the Gyro picture is different than what we had. I don’t like to not give less than 3 stars. We were very excited to go on Veterans day. Parking is AWFUL. Not their fault, but a big issue when you have to park somewhere else and worry about being towed. I parked at International market, bought some things and still felt uneasy about parking there. Jumped back in the car and waited another 10 minutes waiting. A little embarrassing doing laps. Again, not their fault. Had the coffee which is pictured. It is STRONG and small but I knew that going in. Pic shows the difference between the butter normal size and the size of coffee. This will take a 5 –10 minutes to make as they say bc they make it when your meal is ready. I did not know this, thought it was going to be 5 minutes. The servers were 4 out of 5. 4 because of the coffee and they forgot the cucumber sauce when we asked for it. Otherwise, they were pretty good. We had the Lamb Shank, the Gyro Plate and I think Chicken Barg but not sure. I asked the server what he liked and did that. It was 1 skewer steak and 1 skewer chicken. My friend is from Pakistan and loves Iranian food. She was very excited about this place and I was excited to see her reaction. My other friend wanted little spice since she is not a spicy fan and we had the day off. All our reactions«were well ok did that, move on.“f Just did not stand up to the hype. The Cucumber sauce is yogurt, or maybe we rec’d the wrong thing 2 times. Not sure. The My dish whatever it was called did not look like the picture, BUT maybe it was a different chef. At first bite of the chicken very good, then after that it tastes salty. Wonder if it marinated too long. The beef skewer was very good. It came with rice and the cucumber, tomato and onion salad. The Lamb Shank came with green rice which is dill and lemon added to the rice. It is a mild flavoring compared to the basic white rice. All rice was cooked perfectly. When you arrive and order the server brings the bread, herbs, I think either parsley or cilantro and butter. I ordered coffee because Unilocal said it was very good and tiny. Not sure we will be back. Was very hopeful this was going to be my friends go to place.

The food here is always fantastic. The prices are middle-of-the-road, but the service is definitely a cut above. If you love Mediterranean food, you have to check out this restaurant. I recommend the lamb shank — they make it fresh every morning and it literally falls off the bone. You will not regret trying it.

Great food! Visited this restaurant during my stay in Nashville. Our server seemed a little lost and confused, but another server was very attentive with us while our actual server was MIA. We ordered tha beef sambosa for app, it was just ok. I’ve had better. For entrees, we ordered the lamb shanks and the mixed grill(grilled chicken, lamb chops, and some ground meat kabobs). The lamb shanks and the lamb chops that came on the mixed grill were both wonderful. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor so I probably wouldn’t recommend any of their chicken dishes. The ground meat kabobs(I don’t remember what they are called) were flavorful and good, but not aure if I would order it again. Dessert, we ordered the Persian ice cream and Turkish coffee. The ice cream was divine. Delicate rose ice cream infused with saffron, and sprinkled with pistachia bits. The turkish coffee was smooth and flavorful, but they scorched the milk, causing it to form milk skins, but the actual coffee was good.

Food was not flavorful. Service was subpar. I do NOT recommend this restaurant. Seems like a knock-off Persian restaurant.

I go here for lunch with my Dad on occasion and I always get the gyro sandwich and rice. I love the sauce they put in the sandwich, and the meat is always tender and delicious. The best part is you can walk out for only $ 6, and you’ll be full the rest of the day.

Crappy bland food and non existent service. Not once did they ask if my food tasted ok or fill up my drink. My silverware was covered in white powder that had apparently spilled on it. How this place gets four and a half stars is beyond me.

I liked the House of Kabob and was happy to see a family restaurant full and busy on a Monday evening. LOVED: the lightness of the Persian dishes and would recommend the chicken kabob DISLIKED: would only have hoped that the rest of the food had as much flavor/spices/love as the kabob, it was kind of plain.

Good but not great. It started promising as we were served pita with feta and cilantro prior to meal common out. I’ve had better kebabs in NYC. Had the junior lamb lunch which comes served with rice and Cucumber /tomatoe side.

Back @ House of Kabob, prompt, friendly service, & good food. This time I noticed that although rice had great flavor, it looked warmed in the microwave. Middle East Basmati rice has long grain semi-hard, rice was definitely microwaved. On the other hand they served us ½ grilled Roma tomatoe? to each instead of a whole one, as shown on the puctures. When we asked whether they had forgotten the other ½, young waiter went back & asked in the kitchen, to our surprise he came back & explained that we were served ½ tomatoe«because they were too big». Hm! Not reasonable we thought. I stayed behind while writing this review,& decided to get a Turkish coffee, usually strong & Tasty. Not this time, it was light & cold. I had already paid previous ck. 2nd surprise: waiter demanded payment before bringing the coffee. Not good business! You’ll be the judge.

Everything was cooked well. The salmon was good but nothing special the green rice was ok. The chicken salad was good but again nothing special. The yogurt and cucumber dip was good also. Maybe its because we have ate better.

This place is a mixture or Kurdish and Persian cuisine and all I can say it’s delicious so far. Great décor and the atmosphere fits the food. Friendly service and I think I will be back;)

This is a great Persian food place right off Thompson Lane. The kubiedeh is fantastic — tender and supremely juicy! They serve complimentary pita with cheese and cilantro. Go easy on the pita because the serving sizes are large! I normally order the kubiedeh but if I want to switch things up, I order the teka or chicken. I’ve never had the gyro here but my friends have and they love it.
